A streak of purple light ignored all defenses, piercing straight through the roof of Wuzhuang Temple and shooting toward Zhen Yuanzi.
Before he could make any move, the purple light transformed into a jade talisman and stopped steadily three inches before his chest. Light flowed across the talisman, brightening and dimming as though it were breathing.
"A message from Purple Heaven?"
Zhen Yuanzi raised his right hand, pinched the talisman between his index and middle fingers, and pressed it to his brow.
A moment later, Zhen Yuanzi opened his eyes and met Hong Yun's gaze.
"The Dao Master has invited me to Purple Heaven Palace to discuss the Dao." Zhen Yuanzi's voice trembled slightly, as though he were thrilled at the chance to discuss the Dao with Hong Jun in Purple Heaven Palace.
A fitting smile appeared on Hong Yun's face, and he spoke happily for his old friend. "Congratulations, fellow Daoist. To be able to discuss the Dao at Purple Heaven Palace is truly an immense blessing."
The two did not say much. A mere exchange of glances was enough for them to understand each other's intentions.
"Hmm?"
Just as Zhen Yuanzi was about to step out of the temple gates, Hong Yun's puzzled voice suddenly came from behind him. Turning around, he saw Hong Yun's brows tightly furrowed and his expression grave.
"What is it?" Zhen Yuanzi asked Hong Yun.
Yet the gloom vanished from Hong Yun's face, replaced by delighted joy.
"It seems you are not the only one with good news, fellow Daoist." Hong Yun stroked his long beard and laughed heartily. "I have also sensed an opportunity that belongs to me."
"Oh?" Zhen Yuanzi's eyes lit up as he asked in surprise, "Could it be...?"
"You guessed correctly, fellow Daoist. It is precisely my opportunity
