Besides the 'fake elevator', some stonemasons from Chambord City later joined the project to renovate the Underground Grotto Labyrinth City.
These stonemasons, who were passionate about mythology, fully unleashed their imaginations, bringing to life statues of various gods and super-powerful magical beasts on the originally rough and monotonous stone walls. Even each stone step was adorned with colorful carvings. The magnificent and heroic scenes of ancient War of Gods and Demons, as described by bards, were also recreated in the murals. Of course, among them were statues of the King of Chambord City throughout history. Although he only reigned as emperor for less than three months, Sun Fei, as the restorer of Kingdom of Chambord, had the most statues. Five statues of Sun Fei, each thirty to forty meters tall, stood majestically in the mountain's interior, each with an expression of joy, anger, pity, benevolence, and a sword- Sun Fei posture. They were arranged in the five directions of east, south, west, north, and center, exuding an indescribable mystery and majesty.
These were all the stonemasons' own creations, not something commissioned by someone to please the King.
In addition to these changes, another significant innovation was the planting and placement of a large number of green plants in the underground grottoes.
Almost all the vegetation found in Chambord City can now be found in the Underground Grotto Labyrinth City. Moreover, seemingly due to the unique air and temperature conditions of the underground grotto, although it is late autumn and the outside world is desolate with withered leaves and fallen leaves, the vegetation inside the grotto remains lush and green. Everywhere you look, there is a sea of green. Sun Fei racked his brains and used his meager knowledge of biology to design a unique circulating system similar to a greenhouse. The presence of vegetation improves the air quality in the grotto, and the improved air quality allows the vegetation to remain evergreen, free from the limitations of external seasonal changes... The entire Underground Grotto Labyrinth City is gradually forming a separate ecological cycle system.
Of course, the 'guests' of the Diablo World also contributed a lot to the construction and renovation of the Underground Grotto Labyrinth City.
The underground river's water, filtered and guided by several simple magical arrays set up by Sister Akara, flowed into trenches specially carved out by stonemasons on the ground within the mountain's interior. After being processed by these arrays, the water was no longer icy but warm and full of life, flowing into small channels to irrigate the vegetation. Sister Akara and the Rogue were clearly also very creative; they even ingeniously built dozens of artificial magical fountains of various sizes and shapes, transforming the entire Underground Grotto Labyrinth City into a fairyland, where greenery and flowing water were everywhere—a beautiful and dreamlike scene.
This water system is self-circulating, with a light white mist floating on the surface, and specially released red-tailed fish swimming nimbly around.
The entire Underground Grotto Labyrinth City is as beautiful as Paradise, making it hard to associate this place with the gloomy and terrifying prison from before.
This was precisely the dreamlike secret realm that Sun Fei had imagined countless times in his mind.
"Your Majesty, please name this place!"
"Yes, Your Majesty, the renovation of the grottoes is basically complete; it's time to give this place a name!"
The soldiers, stonemasons, and blacksmiths who were busy at work gathered around when they saw His King arrive. Many of them had already fallen deeply in love with this magical secret place. At first, none of them had imagined that they could create such a beautiful place. Their faces were filled with proud smiles and a sense of accomplishment.
Sun Fei laughed heartily, "Haha, good! From now on, the Underground Grotto Labyrinth City will become the secret logistics base and talent training base of my Chambord City. This secret realm was created by everyone's hard work and sweat, and it will be called..." At this point, Sun Fei spread his hand, flames flashing, Summon the Purple and Azure Twin Swords. Under the watchful eyes of everyone in the grotto, he quickly arrived in front of the Dashi at the entrance to the mountain's interior space. Suddenly, he leaped into the air, the Purple and Azure Twin Swords transforming into two long rainbows, one blue and one purple, slicing across the stone tablet like dragons and Mars. Amidst sparks flying and a large amount of stone dust falling down. "It will be called—City of Heroes!"
City of Heroes!
After Sun Fei on the ground, as the stone chips fell, four powerful characters on the stone tablet came into view. These four characters were full of momentum, as if they were about to break through the stone tablet and boil up, as if they were alive, giving people a visual shock.
A cheer erupted from within the mountain's interior.
" City of Heroes, haha, that has two meanings. First, this magnificent underground stone city was created by the heroic people of Chambord City, with every drop of sweat and every step they took. Second, I hope that from now on, every Chambord City resident who emerges from the secret realm of this stone city will be a truly great hero!"
Before Sun Fei had even finished speaking, some of the soldiers and stonemasons were already bursting with excitement. In this continent with its strict hierarchical order, people of such low status were actually quite easily satisfied. To be addressed as a 'hero' by His King was already a great honor that they could pass down through generations.
The crowd gradually dispersed, and people began busily carrying out some finishing touches on the later stages of [ City of Heroes ].
Captain Petr Čech and his Saint continued their surveillance and defense work on the ground, while only Oleg, the warden temporarily summoned by Sun Fei Sun Fei, followed closely behind. Arriving at the stone chamber specially prepared for the King, Sun Fei surveyed the space, nodding in satisfaction. Most of the furnishings were stone tables and chairs. In the center of the chamber was a small mermaid fountain pool, its surface shimmering, with a group of red-tailed goldfish swimming leisurely. The greenery and Jian Jie, unpretentious decorations were exactly Sun Fei's style.
"So, how did the interrogation go?" Sun Fei Earth Inquiry, picking up a handful of fish food and teasing the goldfish in front of the fountain.
"It went very smoothly. Those fellows are utterly unworthy of their noble titles; they're all cowards. Lord Drogba and Lord Pierce tied a few guards with stones and sank them into the Zuli River. The rest of them were terrified. The nine King dared not resist in the slightest and all signed the new treaty. As Your Majesty instructed, we have released their closest guards and, overnight, led the new treaty to each country to demand reparations..." Warden Oleg followed closely behind, beaming with excitement, and said, "We interrogated the King of each country separately. It is said that the reason they dared to unite in this attack, besides their unwillingness to pay the war reparations agreements previously signed by the Prince, was mainly due to the instigation of a mysterious person."
"Oh? A mysterious person?" Sun Fei crushed all the fish food in his hand, threw it into the pool, and clapped his hands. "What kind of mysterious person is it this time?"
"These foolish King aren't entirely sure of his exact identity either, only some vague information. He should be a powerful mage from the capital, Saint Petersburg. However, he didn't come with us for this campaign. Instead, one of his subordinates, the wind mage who was the first to attack on the stone bridge this afternoon, came to the city with the allied forces and has now been captured by us. But this guy is a minor nobleman from a powerful family in the capital. He's very arrogant because of his status. Without Your Majesty's order, no one dared to torture him, so..." Warden Oleg looked troubled. When it comes to powerful families in the capital, it's even more sensitive than the identities of the nine King, so he didn't dare to act rashly. This matter needed Sun Fei to make the decision.
"What a bunch of idiots! They didn't even figure out who that person was, yet they were so easily swayed that they lost their judgment and dared to attack Chambord City? How did a bunch of maggots with brains crawling with fat maggots become King?" Sun Fei sneered and shook his head, his expression turning fierce. He continued, "Forget about any of those damn noble families in the capital. At all costs, dig out that instigator! You should know that in the Little Black Room of Chambord City, no enemy can walk out with their head held high. Since he dares to oppose Chambord City, let him taste the bitterness of a fate worse than death. I remember you, Oleg, weren't you once called ' Death God's Tentacle ' by the people of Chambord City, cold-blooded and cruel, feared by all? Now, use all those interrogation methods you used when you controlled the [ Iron Prison Dungeon ]—methods that would make even stones weep! Remember, enemies never deserve pity. The existence of the Little Black Room has only one purpose—I just need to know what I want to know!"
"Yes, Your Majesty!" Sun Fei's resolute reply made the warden Oleg's obese body stiffen, and he straightened his back.
"Put this matter aside for now and get on with it as soon as possible!" Sun Fei said, waving his hand. A perfectly square piece of parchment flew from his hand to the Palace Warden Oleg, who caught it in surprise. Sun Fei continued, "It lists the things you need to do for the next month, starting today." Sun Fei didn't mention that, in fact, besides Warden Oleg, the main leaders of Chambord City, Best, Brook, and others, had all received similar pieces of paper.
The warden, Oleg, was taken aback, but then understood Sun Fei's meaning and exclaimed in surprise, "Your Majesty, you... you're going to leave Chambord City for a while?"
Sun Fei nodded.
He said nothing more, standing before the fountain in the pool, his gaze passing over Oleg's figure, shooting out of the stone chamber where the two were sitting, and looking towards the deepest part of the mountain's interior. There, a massive, pitch-black iron gate, over twenty meters high, lay coiled like the gaping maw of a colossal beast. No one knew what lay behind that steel gate. For over two hundred years, the King of Chambord City had explored that place, but apart from heavy losses, none had been able to touch the mystery hidden there.
"Your Majesty, you mustn't..." Oleg followed Sun Fei's gaze and instantly understood Sun Fei's plan. He exclaimed in alarm, "Your Majesty, that place is far too dangerous... far too dangerous!"
