After calming down a little, Sun Fei was still as excited as a kindergartener who had finally gotten the Transformers toy he had longed for. Unable to contain himself, he eagerly tested the sash's functions again and again.
Whoosh!
A stone appeared in Sun Fei's hand.
Whoosh!
The stone appeared in the sash's storage space.
He could do it all with a single thought. Like a mage's storage ring or bracelet, it allowed its owner to put a target into the space or take it out at will with a thought.
He tried a few more stones of different sizes.
Sun Fei soon figured out the sash's storage capacity. Each slot was limited only by volume, not weight, and could hold at most one object the size of a basketball from his previous life.
The sash's eight slots could hold eight basketball-sized objects.
Sun Fei was already very satisfied with that capacity.
As his Barbarian's level gradually rose, he could equip more advanced sashes in the Diablo World, increasing their storage capacity further.
"It wasn't easy. After all that, I finally have a storage ring of my own."
Sun Fei was very pleased with this unexpected "perk."
The discovery made Sun Fei suddenly realize that the Diablo game in the space within his mind definitely still held a great many secrets waiting to be uncovered.
Sun Fei had a feeling that even more incredible things were waiting for him.
After all, he was still only messing around in the beginner map, the Rogue Encampment. Once his character's level rose and he entered higher-level maps such as Lut Gholein and Kurast Docks, perhaps even more wondrous, incredible things would be waiting for him.
After experiencing the Barbarian's power, Sun Fei called out "switch mode" in his mind and instantly switched to Sorceress Mode.
The terrifying physical strength of the level-twelve Barbarian vanished in an instant.
The magical power and skills of the level-three sorceress appeared within Sun Fei.
Both were mages, but unlike the sinister, chilling, and intimidating energy field of the level-six necromancer, the level-three sorceress's energy was more balanced and bright. Fire, lightning, and ice were all bright forces of nature, so after switching to Sorceress Mode, Sun Fei was enveloped in a steady energy field and exuded a mysterious, approachable aura. Faint fluctuations of energy flickered around him, and only when his body slowly adapted to the energy did he gradually bring them under control, until they disappeared.
Whoosh!
With a thought from Sun Fei, a ball of scorching red flame materialized out of thin air in his hand.
The vivid red flame danced in the wind, growing and shrinking at Sun Fei's command. Though it looked feeble, Sun Fei had no doubt that it contained astonishing energy. It was far stronger than the half-baked fireballs of Gejir, that fat magic apprentice, and could definitely melt steel armor in an instant.
This was a skill belonging to "Sun Fei the mage."
Sun Fei closed his eyes and felt it for a while. His body gradually grew accustomed to the sorceress's power, and he finally succeeded in concealing the magical energy field surrounding him, so that not the slightest fluctuation leaked out.
Then, with another thought, Sun Fei switched to Paladin Mode.
In an instant, a sacred, gentle power faintly emanated from Sun Fei's body. It was filled with boundless light and carried fluctuations of compassion for all, enough to make anyone immediately want to draw close to him and trust and rely on him unconditionally. Its righteous majesty and grandeur made Sun Fei seem like the trustworthy representative of a god walking the mortal world.
The paladin truly deserved its reputation as the noblest and most righteous of Diablo's seven classes.
In the Diablo World, the power wielded by paladins was called "Aura." Besides formidable combat strength, it also had all kinds of incredible healing and support effects. Paladin auras were one of their most powerful combat skills, mysterious and unfathomable. But he did not know whether the power of the Holy Church, which Angela described as supreme on the Azeroth Continent, was the same as that of the paladins in the Diablo World.
As Sun Fei pondered this, his body quickly adapted to the paladin's Aura.
He stood quietly where he was and repeatedly familiarized himself with the powers and skills of every Diablo World character he currently had. After making sure he had forgotten or overlooked nothing, Sun Fei ultimately chose the Barbarian character he had used before and switched to Barbarian mode. He then concealed the Arctic Furs and his other magical equipment, leaving himself dressed only in a knight's soft leather under-armor, before walking out of the stone room in the gate tower.
The moment he stepped out, it was as though a dazzling flame had suddenly ignited in the darkness. Sun Fei's figure immediately drew the gaze of everyone on the walls.
The soldiers of the king's guard and the civilians looked at him with burning eyes.
They all hoped that this extraordinary king, who, according to the legends of the past two days, could "communicate" with the almighty God of War, would once again display a great miracle in this moment of peril, destroy the ferocious enemies who had pressed menacingly up to the walls in one stroke, and give them hope of survival.
But the gazes of the few people who included Lampard the Three-Star Warrior, Oleg the One-Star Warrior, Brook, and Gejir the magic apprentice held indescribable shock and astonishment.
Only they, who had caught a glimpse of the path to power, could truly appreciate what had just happened inside that dilapidated stone room.
It was the most incredible thing they had ever witnessed in their lives.
In that short span of time, four powers with entirely different attributes had appeared one after another in the small stone room: a sinister power, a wild power, a balanced power of nature, and a noble, radiant power... It was as though four mages and warriors, each at least as strong as a One-Star Warrior, were hiding quietly inside, displaying their peak power without the slightest attempt at concealment.
But that was impossible.
They all knew that, from beginning to end, there had been only one person in the stone room: the young King Alexander.
There had been no one else.
So there seemed to be only one possible explanation for everything that had just happened: Alexander was the one who had displayed those four incredible fluctuations of power.
Good lord, could one person really possess four powers with different attributes at the same time?
And had each of those powers reached the one-star level?
God of War above, that was absolutely impossible, wasn't it?!
In the history of the Azeroth Continent, there had been precedents of people mastering several kinds of power, and cultivating both magic and martial arts was not a forbidden realm beyond human reach... But which of those who had achieved something in multiple fields had not been a brilliant and renowned genius? Which had not been a legendary Great Sun Venerable who had swept across the continent unchallenged?
Moreover, every bard on the continent could testify on their life and honor that even those super geniuses had ceased to be young by the time they reached that level of strength.
And how old was Alexander?
He was merely a minor, not yet eighteen.
Until recently, Alexander had even been an idiot, a fool known far and wide for his deficient intellect. This fool had wasted more than seventeen years, never cultivating any Dou Qi or magic. From birth, he had known only how to eat, drink, and play, passing his days in a daze. How could he possibly possess all four of these entirely different powers?
And how could all four of those powers have unbelievably reached the terrifying one-star level?
Shock and uncertainty were the truest reflection of what Lampard and the other powerful fighters felt at that moment.
They watched Alexander emerge as though they were looking at a prehistoric monster.
