[When a reincarnator reached E-rank, the maximum for each of the five basic attributes was 50 points! When any attribute reached the cap, an assessment would be conducted in the next mission world!]

The Main God's notification suddenly sounded, catching Xu Long off guard.

An ordinary adult man's average attribute was 5 points, while the E-rank cap was 50 points-ten times the physical capabilities. He had never expected to reach that level after just one mission world.

After giving it some thought, Xu Long decided to exchange for skills and items first and leave his physical attributes for later.

"Exchange for E-Rank Telekinesis!"

E-Rank Telekinesis: telekinesis was the manifestation of the soul and the sublimation of the mind. Exchange required one E-rank access card. A spirit attribute of at least 20 points was recommended.

Telekinesis, also called psychokinesis, was a power that allowed the mind to interfere with reality.

Its simplest use was controlling objects. A more advanced application was attacking the soul, while the most badass was directly warping space, turning the intangible into the tangible and creating something from nothing.

The access card was deducted, and white light shone down.

Xu Long felt as though a door had opened, and countless things came pouring out.

These were methods of using telekinesis, included with the skill exchange.

Bang, bang, bang, bang!

The Type 54 pistol with unlimited ammunition flew into the air and unleashed a wild barrage at the space ahead.

Although using telekinesis to control a pistol was a little stupid, he had to admit that telekinesis was incredibly powerful and very useful.

Putting the pistol away, Xu Long continued exchanging for the things he needed.

"Exchange for one kilogram of high-speed steel! Make half into needles, five centimeters long and one millimeter in diameter, with threads on the surface. Make the other half into plum-blossom darts, one millimeter thick and five centimeters in diameter."

High-speed steel: an excellent alloy material with high strength and toughness, resistant to high temperatures and corrosion. Exchange required 10 points per kilogram, and its shape could be chosen freely.

As soon as he finished speaking, a great pile of fine needles and plum-blossom darts made of high-speed steel fell to the ground.

The alloy was very cheap, so he could simply throw them away once they wore out. They were not worth much anyway.

In fact, Xu Long saw these as mere substitutes. He had his eye on something else.

Nanowire, made by fusing nanoscale material with its owner's genes. It was incredibly sharp and invisible and formless. Unfortunately, it was too expensive and required an access card to exchange for it.

He had a bloodline, a skill, and weapons. All that remained were attribute points.

"Exchange for 22 sinew and bone points and 10 spirit points. Eleven points each for strength, constitution, and agility."

After exchanging for the attributes, he had only 259 points left out of nearly ten thousand.

Although he was flat broke, every point had been spent on the cutting edge of the blade. Not one had been wasted.

He did not have enough points to raise every attribute to the cap of 50, so Xu Long planned to get through another mission world and take the assessment the time after next.

With his points spent and his access card used, Xu Long finally had time to deal with his mail.

He opened his inbox and found dozens of shining messages piled at the top. No matter how many accumulated beneath them, their positions could not be shaken.

These were paid messages, arranged from top to bottom according to how many points had been paid.

Although he did not know how much had been spent on the topmost one, Xu Long opened it first as a sign of respect for the rich.

"Not bad, not bad. Threats and temptations, arrogance and conceit, and sheer stupidity. Just what you'd expect from the Rice Country."

Xu Long sighed. Even outside their original world, people from the Rice Country were still people from the Rice Country.

Ever since meteorites had fallen from the sky twenty years ago, smashing through the earth's crust and causing countless monsters to pour out, humanity on Earth had suffered devastating losses, and civilization had nearly been wiped out.

The original nations had naturally fallen apart as well.

With the Reincarnation Temple's help, however, humanity had held on and established six settlements in order of their overall strength.

The strongest was the First District, established by the former nation of China. It included Daoist sects, Buddhist sects, ability users, ancient martial artists, and a host of demons, devils, ghosts, and monsters. Around the First District, Southeast Asia and several eastern coastal nations had fallen, becoming a paradise for monsters.

The Second District had been jointly established by the nations of Western Europe, with the Dark Council's werewolves and vampires and the Church of Light's paladins and bishops at its core. The western islands had fallen.

The Third District was located in North America and had been established by the Rice Country, once the world's leading power. Its strongest fighters were primarily enhanced humans. Alaska, Greenland, and all of South America had fallen.

The Fourth District had been established by Northern Russia, with berserkers and dire bear mages in power. To the east of the Fourth District, the entire Siberian snowfield had fallen.

The Fifth District was located in northern Africa and had been established with help from the First, Second, and Fourth Districts. Relying on Egypt's pharaohs and mummies, it struggled to survive. South of the Fifth District, all of central and southern Africa had fallen.

The Sixth District was the former Oceania, established through the combined efforts of the five preceding districts. The original intention was to use it as a springboard to establish a defensive system and then launch a counterattack against the monsters in the ocean.

Along the way, they had also resettled the curse masters, ninjas, onmyoji, and others from such lousy little places as Southeast Asia, Japan, and Hanguo.

None of them were any good: they were treacherous, shameless, greedy, and cruel. The leaders of the Huaxia District had originally planned to wipe them all out, but although the Huaxia District was currently the strongest settlement, the Western European District and the North American District were no pushovers either.

With the Fifth District's Egypt faction also muddying the waters, they had no choice but to let the matter drop.

The letter from the Third District's North American District was simple: hand over everything he had gained in the Resident Evil world, and he would be granted the right to immigrate to the Third District.

Even in his previous life, Xu Long had looked down on that country, which was free and democratic on the surface but shameless and hypocritical in reality. All the more so when, in this world, China was the First District, the strongest settlement on Earth.

And that was not all. Of the ten strongest people on Earth, three were in the Huaxia District, including the first and second.

He replied with "dumbass" and deleted the message. He could not be bothered with that sort. If they left him alone, fine, but if they annoyed him, he would have to pay the North American District a visit once his level was high enough.

The second letter came from the Huaxia District, sent by the Xuanming Emperor, who ranked second among the world's ten greatest experts.

He spoke very politely, offering neither threats nor inducements, and merely said he hoped they could discuss matters in person.

That was very much in keeping with the traditional Chinese character: neither arrogant nor impetuous, neither servile nor overbearing. Even when faced with someone weak, he would not put on an airs of towering arrogance.

It was only natural. A glance at the name Long Aotian was enough to tell that he was either from the Huaxia District or an admirer of Chinese culture.

Whichever he was, he would know what the Xuanming Emperor represented.

The world's second-strongest expert, one half of the Huaxia District's realm.

Xu Long set the Xuanming Emperor's message aside and opened the third.

As expected, it was from the Second District Western Europe Region.

Their demand was the same as the Third District North American District's, but the benefits they offered were tangible.

Twenty thousand points, a vampire marquis's Embrace, a vampire princess or werewolf princess for a wife, and the title of Earl. He could choose two of the four.
