Xu Long seized the Spirit Locust Tree, summoned Xiong Da, and helped crush the forces threatening Rakshasa Street. He entered the Spirit Domain to investigate its rulers and reached Netherworld Island, where his show of strength left Gousheng and the restaurant owner wary of him.
Xu Long uncovered the Netherworld’s past, fought his way through the Forest of the Void God, and killed the Spirit Controllers. As Shakyamuni and his disciples moved against him, the Main God restored the Spirit Domain and forced everyone into a sealed team battle.
Xu Long defeated Flower Lord and entered the world of Secrets of the Heavenly Book, where he uncovered the threat of Yin Nests and began hunting powerful demons and nobles. He left the Tushan Clan newly strengthened and turned against the weasels, while Xiang Yang awakened with his memory lost.
Xu Long defeated the demons and hidden forces surrounding Youzhou, then hunted down fragments of a small world and absorbed the Five Elements essences. After postponing his breakthrough, he turned toward Mount Yunmeng as Yuan Gong left Dansheng with the Heavenly Book.
Xu Long defeated Holy Auntie and returned from the Heavenly Book world, then entered The Legend of Mount Shu to pursue the Haotian Mirror and Chi You Blood Cave. Disguised as Mo Yu, he joined the Blood Alliance and attacked Mount Emei, leaving Li Xiuran to call on the responsibility entrusted to him by the Ancestor.
Xu Long weakened both factions, entered the Chi You Blood Cave through his True Dragon Clone, and fought Youquan for Chi You’s Essence Blood. After killing Youquan, Xu Long battled the camp-fortress’s ancient formation while the eye in the earth continued to change.
Xu Long defeated the camp’s five Fiendgod figures, claimed the Chi You Essence Blood, and broke through to the Mahayana Stage. He then reached Mount Emei, where he fought White Eyebrows and fired a shell at him as the battle escalated.
Xu Long pursued power through the Void Small World, then joined Mo Yu in an assault on Mount Emei that destroyed the sect’s defenses and killed its greatest protectors. The arc ended with Xu Long uncovering a black shadow in a cave beneath Mount Emei.
Xu Long claimed the Haotian Mirror, advanced his cultivation, and entered the Land of Exile in search of the sealed Ancestral Spirit. His search uncovered Blackwater City’s destruction and its hidden energy core, while Deng Shouchong’s group faced a confrontation with Chen Yuping and Yuan Changwu.
Xu Long survived the Human Python and the Mist Beast tide, broke through to the Mahayana Stage, and reached Phoenix City. He entered its Eight Trigrams Formation Diagram to avoid paying for entry, passed several deadly gates, and entered a fifth gate filled with an army of ancient soldiers.
Xu Long broke through Phoenix City's gates, stole the Wuji Creation Pill, and used it to reach the Earth Immortal Realm while uncovering the Ancestral Spirit's history. He agreed to cooperate with Deng Lifu, but the factions clashed at the North Division Dao Field as Yuan Changwu confronted Branch Master Chen.
Xu Long helped Phoenix City defeat the Mist Beast tides, then followed its cultivators into the earth’s crust as the Heaven Patroler attacked the city. There, he fought the primordial gods guarding Feng Fuxi’s prison and killed two of them, while the battle continued deeper in the magma.
Xu Long fought through the sea of lightning, earned an Immortal Register, and battled Shankui while carrying the Eight Trigrams Formation Diagram toward Feng Fuxi. The diagram passed through a crack in the Heaven Patroler's seal, leaving the Ancestral Spirit's escape in motion.
Xu Long returned from the Land of Exile, prepared for the Heavenly Palace’s plans, and entered the Earth Realm. After surviving the Vast Sea beast tide and breaking through to Earth Immortal, he established Feng Sihu as his servant and reached Pinglu Daoist Sanctuary, where his probing of its formation drew the guards’ suspicion.
Xu Long entered Pinglu Daoist Sanctuary to seek a defensive formation, but a beast tide trapped him inside as the Duck Beast King attacked. Perfected Lord Pinglu rallied the cultivators and used the Thousand-Jun Tower against the Beast King, which remained bound but struggled to escape.
Xu Long helped the cultivators resist the Duck Beast King, destroying the resentful spirits it sent against them with mystic lightning and sword qi. The Beast King then escaped skyward with the golden net still attached, turning the formation into a cage that carried the cultivators with it.
Xu Long returned to Rotten Peach Mountain, gathered followers, and prepared to enter the Vast Sea by seeking selection as a Jade Screen Sect School core disciple. He survived the Wind of the Netherworld and advanced to the Heavenly Immortal Realm, but the expanded Dao Field soon faced a violent challenge from sect inspectors.
Xu Long brought Yun Ya on a resource-collecting inspection tour before returning to the Jade Screen Sect School and entering the core disciple selection. He fought off groups of contestants, then faced Yun Xiao and six Deacon Hall disciples, who enclosed him in a formation.
Xu Long became a core disciple, refused the clan cultivators’ attempt to draw him into their faction, and was chosen to investigate the Vast Sea with four others. At Qinghe Daoist Sanctuary, the gathered factions began testing a dangerous crossing into the sea.
Xu Long entered the Vast Sea, survived ambushes, advanced to the Late Earth Immortal realm, and seized the Immortal Ginseng amid rival cultivators and ferocious beasts. Trapped by King Yuanyuan's beast tide, he disturbed an ancient bronze chain linked to his divination as the mountain collapsed toward him.
