During a visit to Lone Bamboo Village, the fugitive Ma Xiu attacked him. Xiao Xuan severed his arm, detected his underground approach through bamboo roots, and killed him. Star Dou Great Forest and Graduation

At level 20, Xiao Xuan traveled alone to obtain his second ring and materials for another Martial Soul advancement. He bought a Hair Crystal from Flender, evolved his bamboo to four stars, and reached level 22 after absorbing his second ring. For saving Shui Bing’er, he received Shui Yuehua’s recommendation to Heaven Dou Royal Academy 22 23 26 27.

Ah Yin and the Journey to Heaven Dou

When Ah Yin questioned him, he challenged her understanding of Tang Hao’s intentions. After his bamboo acquired life and water attributes, Xiao Xuan experimented with self-created water techniques. He subsequently killed a two-thousand-year Man Faced Demon Spider and obtained the Eight Spider Lances 30 31.

A bandit ambush brought him into contact with Ye Nishang and Ye Lingling. He accepted their invitation to travel together, recognizing that Ye Lingling’s friendship with Dugu Yan could help him approach Dugu Bo 31 32.

Heaven Dou Royal Academy

With Ye Lingling’s help, Xiao Xuan completed his special admission to Heaven Dou Royal Academy. He befriended Dugu Yan, helped strengthen her body, and removed more than half of her accumulated poison. She then introduced him to Dugu Bo 33 37 38.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, he underwent further body refinement, consumed Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew, and absorbed a ten-thousand-year third ring. These gains brought him to level 37 41 42 43.

Seeking unrestricted cultivation resources, he applied for the Heaven Dou Royal Team’s assessment. His twenty consecutive arena victories—including a one-move victory over the Shi Brothers—also attracted Xue Qinghe’s attention. Competing as Black Bamboo, he defeated opponents without revealing his Soul Rings. His perception and spear technique allowed him to overcome Scything Shadow’s speed and illusions, stunning Tang San 59 60.

Flender later demanded his Soul Bone and arena winnings. Xiao Xuan refused, resisted his attacks without initially using his rings, and rejected an offer to join Shrek Academy 68.

Strength Clan Dispute and Spiritual Training

The Strength Clan’s Tai Jian ambushed Xiao Xuan on the road to the academy. Xiao Xuan killed the level-55 Soul King head-on, then brought his corpse to Dugu Bo and requested support in confronting the clan 80 82 83.

With Dugu Bo and Xue Qinghe backing his demands, Xiao Xuan obtained five hundred thousand Gold Soul Coins, three Soul Bones, and a rare metal chosen from the clan treasury. He used two of the bones to upgrade his Head Soul Bone 85 87 88.

He then developed the Spiritual Silver Needle and spent two months in Sunset Forest refining spiritual attacks while upgrading his first two rings to 9,999 years. Afterward, he returned to Heaven Dou 89 90 91.

Xiao Xuan develops from a slender child into a tall, well-proportioned youth through repeated body refinement 2 18 26.

Even after obtaining promising opportunities, he tests their practical effects instead of relying on assumptions 1 3 6 11.

His caution does not prevent decisive action. During Ma Xiu’s attack, he recognizes that fleeing from an underground opponent would be dangerous and instead waits for a chance to counterattack. When Tai Jian attempts to kill him, he retaliates and then seeks political support rather than confronting the entire Strength Clan alone 19 83.

He is affectionate toward his family and playful with Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling, but blunt toward people who try to dictate his choices. His rejection of Yu Xiaogang and ridicule of Flender contrast with his respectful gratitude toward helpers such as Shui Yuehua 1 16 27 68 72.
