After killing Dark Hummingbird and recovering in Shrek, Qing Linyun gave Ye Lingling a powerful Soul Bone and returned to the East Sea.

• Ya Li sent Qing Linyun to Eastsea City to persuade Wu Changkong to return to Shrek Academy, and Qing Linyun arranged for Ye Lingling to oversee his company while he was away.
• Qing Linyun met Gu Yue at Eastsea Academy, helped her enroll, and persuaded Wu Changkong to let him stay as his teaching assistant.
• Qing Linyun discovered that Evil Qi had blocked Wu Changkong’s meridians and Soul Power nodes, while the Ghost Emperor sent Dark Hummingbird to kill him.

Qing Linyun dealt with the Holy Spirit Cult’s attack and helped Wu Changkong resume his cultivation, then took Tang Wulin as his disciple and gave him a Soul Bone. After using the Emotion Card to obtain the Golden Dragon King Bloodline, Qing Linyun broke its first ten seals and gained the Golden Dragon Spear before Gu Yue approached him.

• Qing Linyun told Wu Changkong that Dark Hummingbird had survived the East Sea, while Na Nali and Leng Yulai confronted the Ghost Emperor and clashed with the Demon Empress over the attack on Qing Linyun.
• Qing Linyun returned to Eastsea Academy, where Wu Changkong trained Class Five and asked Qing Linyun to find life materials and an ice-type Soul Spirit to help him clear his meridians and advance.
• Qing Linyun watched Gu Yue defeat Xie Xie and Tang Wulin, then helped Wu Changkong train the trio and urged them to work together.

Qing Linyun advanced his Soul Spirit work while Tang Wulin awakened the Asura power and Gu Yue grew closer to Qing Linyun, even as she considered the Soul Beast Clan’s plans. The arc left Tang Wulin and his teammates preparing for their match against Class Four, while Qing Linyun’s admirers formed an alliance and Gu Yue remained wary of him.

• Qing Linyun took Gu Yue through Eastsea City, discussed protecting Soul Beasts with her, and accepted her offer to be her bodyguard and tutor.
• Tang Wulin met Old Tang, who revealed the Golden Dragon King Bloodline inside him, then learned from Tang San that his Blue Silver Emperor Bloodline was emerging.
• Tang San awakened Tang Wulin’s Clear Sky Hammer and Divine Slaughter’s Domain, and Qing Linyun later stabilized the unleashed Asura power as Tang Wulin broke through to level twenty-one.
• Gu Yue sensed that Tang Wulin’s Golden Dragon King Bloodline had disappeared and found it merged with Qing Linyun, while Qing Linyun continued teaching her Soul Spirit technology.
