History

Snezhnaya and the Sovereign of Death

Lumine previously invited Shen Luolun to accompany her on her travels, but he declined because of his limited combat strength and unwillingness to endure the journey’s hardships. She and Paimon remained in contact with him, writing to announce their arrival in Snezhnaya 3 4.

After meeting the Tsaritsa, Lumine joined forces with allies in Snezhnaya to defeat the Sovereign of Death. According to Zhongli, she emerged unharmed, and Snezhnaya was freed from its curse of death. Celestia subsequently reclaimed the defeated Sovereign’s authority, while the Sovereign’s whereabouts became unknown 5.

Skyfrost Nails appeared above several nations after the battle. Zhongli suspected they were the Sovereign’s final handiwork and reported that Lumine had investigated the Chasm before continuing to other nations 5.

Emotion-Forsaking Beef Noodles

While completing daily commissions in Snezhnaya, Lumine received Xiangling’s invitation to attend the Moonchase Festival’s Cuisine Machine Test. She teased Paimon about the possibility of unpleasant experimental dishes, but both agreed to go 13.

At Yilong Wharf, Lumine, Paimon, and Xiangling investigated the residents’ abnormal obsession with a restaurant’s beef noodles. Lumine refused to taste them because she sensed something wrong. Paimon took one bite and became unable to stop eating. With the local Millelith also affected, Lumine arranged for word to be sent to outside authorities 19.

Shen Luolun and Lan Yan helped her pull Paimon away from the food, after which Lumine knocked Paimon unconscious to stop her struggling. Leaving Paimon in Shen’s care, Lumine crossed the crowded streets using Anemo and Electro and entered the restaurant to retrieve Xiangling 19 20.

Inside, she confronted Tang Hao and Tsarevich, demanded an antidote, and offered to end Xiangling’s cooking contest by force. Xiangling insisted on continuing, so Lumine respected her decision and became the wager’s judge and witness. She also helped Xiangling cook while her friend was weakened by the noodles 20 21 22.

Xiangling’s Century Soup, created with help from Zhongli and the White Horse Adeptus, counteracted the noodles’ effects. Lumine oversaw the scoring: Xiangling awarded Tang Hao’s dish 100 points, but Tang Hao submitted a blank paper and conceded that he could not judge her soup 29 30 32.

Uncovering the Sea Overlord Scheme

Tsarevich’s mention of Soul-Forsaking Grass exposed the noodles’ banned ingredient. Lumine prevented him from fleeing and forced him to explain Yinyue’s role in supplying the grass and organizing the Sea Overlord Restaurant operation 32 33.

When Tang Hao began injuring himself during his confrontation with Yinyue, Lumine knocked him unconscious. Yelan subsequently took custody of Tang Hao, Tsarevich, and Yinyue. Learning that a hidden mastermind was exploiting Yinyue’s daughter and wanted to control people through food, Lumine agreed to help stop the operation 34 35 38.

Cuijue Slope and the Miniature One-Eyed Tyrant

Lumine accompanied Yelan and Lan Yan to the ruins at Cuijue Slope. While Lan Yan distracted the outer guards, Lumine and Yelan infiltrated the hideout and defeated twenty Treasure Hoarders at its gate. Lumine then used the Favonius passive to restore their energy before proceeding 39 40.

The supposedly safe route had been altered into a gauntlet of gunfire, poisonous miasma, traps, and lasers. Lumine survived without bleeding injuries and retained more than half her strength, while Yelan was wounded and nearly exhausted. Lumine offered her assistance and cleared most of the remaining route herself 42 44.

After destroying a giant robot with a Cryo spear, Lumine rested with Yelan before entering the surveillance room. There they found Xiaoyue under mind control. Unwilling to injure the child, they fought defensively until Zhongli blocked her attacks and Alice rendered her unconscious. Lumine recommended sending her to Baizhu for treatment 44.

The mastermind proved to be Alice’s escaped research specimen, the Miniature One-Eyed Tyrant. Lumine, Paimon, Alice, and Zhongli pursued it toward Chenyu Vale while Yelan and Lan Yan secured the ruins. Following an overnight chase, the creature was captured. Lumine and Paimon then departed to find an inn and rest 44 46.

Personality

Lumine is fiercely protective of her companions. She threatens immediate intervention when Xiangling appears endangered, but ultimately respects her friend’s determination to settle the cooking contest herself. Her concern for Paimon is especially intense: after the noodle incident, she insists on checking Paimon for hidden medical problems despite her protests 20 38.

She combines decisive force with restraint. She intimidates Tsarevich with her sword to obtain information, yet holds back against the controlled Xiaoyue because the girl is a victim rather than a willing enemy 33 44.

Her lighter side includes teasing Paimon about disastrous cooking experiments and enjoying popcorn while watching Tang Hao and Yinyue’s confrontation. She is also more perceptive about romance than Shen Luolun, recognizing the feelings behind Yelan, Lan Yan, and Xiangling’s rivalry and challenging his insistence that they are merely his “besties” 13 30 37.

Elemental Manipulation

Lumine demonstrates control over several elements, including rapid changes between them during movement and combat 20 44.

Favonius Energy Recovery

Lumine can trigger the Favonius passive through critical hits, producing white energy orbs that replenish both her and nearby teammates 40.
