Tang Wang led a group of rookie adventurers to Wuwang Hill to retrieve a legendary artifact, after Zhongli hinted that the journey would bring him an important encounter. Ch. 2Fate Derailed

Tang Wang brought the unconscious Ronava to Liyue Harbor and hid her identity from the rookie adventurers. When Ronava woke without the Power of Death, she mistook Tang Wang for an enemy, and he tried to reassure her that he knew what Snezhnaya had done and did not blame her.

Ronava revealed that she had destroyed the Celestial Nails and intended to make all of Teyvat sacred land, and Tang Wang accepted her reasoning, leaving her visibly moved.

  • Tang Wang told Ronava that she and Xbalanque had saved Natlan and helped establish it, despite the Lord of the Night’s plan.
  • Ronava realized Tang Wang knew about the Lord of the Night and the Sacred Plan, then warned him not to involve the God of Contracts’ people.
  • Tang Wang criticized The Jester and recounted the Fatui’s abuses, arguing that The Jester had no right to accuse Ronava of despising life.
  • Ronava admitted she had destroyed the Celestial Nails and tried to turn all of Teyvat into sacred land, explaining that many people would die as a result.
  • Tang Wang argued that Ronava had no duty to Celestia after it stripped her authority and that nations defying the Heavenly Principles had to face the consequences of losing the Nails.
  • Ronava turned away with tears in her eyes after receiving Tang Wang’s understanding and acceptance.

Ch. 4Traveling Together

Tang Wang explained that Ronava had returned to the time before the Rite of Parting, but had lost most of her power and memories. He took her to buy clothes and brought her along on his daily commissions, where she learned he was a transmigrator.

  • Ronava asked Tang Wang what he wanted in return for saving her, and he invited her to try living as a human.

  • Tang Wang brought Ronava into a domain to retrieve an artifact, and Ronava confidently tried to demonstrate her power against its monsters.

  • Tang Wang cleared the domain alone and said they would return to the Adventurers' Guild before confronting the old man.

Tang Wang asked Ronava to help recover it and declared his intent to change the fates of La Signora, Rhinedottir, and other Khaenri’ah sinners; Zhongli brought Ronava back to Liyue Harbor and directed her to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

  • Zhongli suggested that Tang Wang’s Shadow Domain Authority was only a storage accessory and said his true object might be outside Liyue or even beyond Teyvat’s surface.
  • Zhongli advised Tang Wang to investigate the sudden appearance of divine weapons on the black market and among secret organizations, linking it to Epitome Invocation.

  • Hu Tao persuaded a grieving man to spend his loved one’s remaining conscious hours creating happy memories instead of crying, and Ronava witnessed their farewell.
