Ch. 1Noah

After transmigrating into the body of Carnegie Noah, a stranded fisherman on an uninhabited island, Noah gathered coconuts and searched the island for fresh water. He found a spring and began preparing bamboo, then noticed something faint nearby.

  • Noah woke on a beach, recovered memories of Carnegie Noah, and realized he had washed ashore after a sea beast wrecked his fishing boat.
  • Noah recalled his family history, his cousin Joseph, and the island's location near Starfish Island.
  • Noah knocked down two coconuts and drank their water to recover his strength.
  • Noah explored the grove cautiously, drove off a snake, and found no large beasts or water near the shore.
  • Noah discovered a trickle of fresh water among rocks and used a sharp stone flake to cut through a bamboo stalk.
  • Noah suddenly noticed something faint as he broke through the bamboo.

Ch. 2The unknown fruit

Noah ate the unknown Devil Fruit and discovered that the Card-Card Fruit could store objects in cards. He tested its abilities while building a shelter on the island and learned that time stopped inside the cards.

  • Noah knocked a patterned fruit from a bamboo branch, recognized it as a Devil Fruit, and ate it.
  • Noah discovered the Card-Card Fruit could turn bamboo into blank cards and store a stone in a small space inside one.
  • Noah gathered materials, made a fire and crude shelter, and used stored branches and smoke to clear the space beneath a large rock.
  • Noah prepared food and applied ghost chrysanthemum juice to keep insects away before testing the Card-Card Fruit further.
  • Noah found that bamboo cards burned when exposed to flames, but stone cards could store burning wood and living sand crabs without time passing inside.

Ch. 3The Power of Wisdom

Noah developed a range of cards using his Card-Card Fruit and survived alone on a deserted island until his uncle Carnegie Joseph found him. Back home on Starfish Island, Noah told Joseph and Joshua that he had eaten a Devil Fruit, and they agreed to keep it secret.

  • Noah made eleven types of cards, including cards that released smoke, rocks, seawater, mud, and stored supplies.
  • Noah explored the deserted island, hunted a walrus, and gathered materials while continuing to develop his cards.
  • After a week, Noah spotted a fishing boat and used a smoke card to signal his uncle Carnegie Joseph.
  • Joseph and Noah sailed back to Starfish Island, where fishermen and Joshua welcomed them home.
  • Noah told Joseph and Joshua that he had eaten a Devil Fruit, and Joseph warned them both not to tell anyone.

Ch. 4Training Plan

Noah spent six months training, studying the East Blue, and developing his Devil Fruit abilities while Joshua grew stronger under his supervision. Hoping to find companions who shared his ideals, Noah invited eight local orphans to his orchard for a barbecue and began getting to know them.

  • Noah followed a demanding daily training schedule and used the Card-Card Fruit to hunt Sea Kings, providing meat and funds for his family.
  • Noah read and analyzed newspapers, recording intelligence about events such as Smoker’s recommendation to Marine Headquarters and the Flame Pirates’ defeat.
  • Joshua reported that the town had 273 orphans, including eight children under twelve with no other relatives to care for them.
  • Noah asked Joshua to invite the eight children to the orchard for a barbecue without attracting attention.
  • Joshua brought the children to Noah’s cabin, where Noah introduced himself and asked Lilith, Lilian, and Mary to help prepare the meat.
  • Joshua assigned the five boys tasks, helping the children become more comfortable at Noah’s gathering.

Ch. 5Noah Manor

Noah recruited several orphaned children to work at Noah Manor and organized their duties and training. During dinner, singing together triggered Noah’s Conqueror’s Haki, knocking out people across roughly an eight-hundred-meter radius, and he later explained Haki to the others.

  • Noah offered the children room and board in exchange for helping at his manor, and Mary, Lilith, Anthony, Ray, Jay, Tomani, and Vic accepted in various roles.
  • Noah assigned the children jobs, trained them in the manor’s rules and confidentiality, and taught them songs, including “There Is No Savior.”
  • On February 28, 1502, Noah’s Conqueror’s Haki awakened while the manor residents sang before dinner, causing Joseph and the children to faint.
  • Noah checked nearby homes, put out a stove fire, and found that his Haki’s effects reached about eight hundred meters.
  • After everyone had recovered, Noah told them he had awakened Conqueror’s Haki and gave them his “Grand Line Situation Analysis Report” to explain Haki.

Ch. 6The Deal

After a year of training, Noah traveled by card-powered submarine to Loguetown to meet with Morgans about a piece of big news. The World Economy News Paper branch arranged a brief call, and Noah followed its employee into the basement.

  • Noah told the youths at the safe house he would be away for several days and urged them to prioritize their safety.
  • Noah used a submarine powered by water stored in cards to travel underwater from Starfish Island toward Loguetown.
  • Noah landed on an uninhabited coast, disguised himself, and rested before entering Loguetown the next morning.
  • Noah paid one million Beli to an employee at the World Economy News Paper East Blue Branch and requested a call with President Morgans.
  • The employee told Noah that Morgans had agreed to speak for ten minutes, then led him into the basement.

Ch. 7Harvest

Noah traded information about Golden Lion to Morgans for the Armament Haki and Six Powers training methods, then returned safely to Starfish Island. He shared the methods with his companions and began planning their training, starting with Tekkai.

  • Noah gave Morgans information about Golden Lion’s activity near Little East Blue, his presence on Merveille Island, and his experiments with mutated beasts in exchange for the Six Powers and Armament Haki training methods.
  • Noah used the name Dawn, exchanged contact details with Morgans, and left Loguetown after Morgans decided not to have anyone follow him.
  • Noah returned to Starfish Island by submarine and reunited with Lilian, Anthony, and the others at the estate.
  • Noah introduced his companions to the Armament Haki and Six Powers methods and warned them to keep the training secret.
  • Noah planned to begin Six Powers training with Tekkai, which he considered the foundation for the other techniques and a prerequisite for Armament Haki.

Ch. 8Big News

Noah read news about Golden Lion while concealing his workshop’s steel purchases behind his uncle’s hardware store. The Marines sent Borsalino to investigate Golden Lion at Merveille Island, but Golden Lion escaped after a fierce battle, leaving Borsalino to report that his Haki had weakened.

  • Noah arranged for Uncle Joseph’s hardware store to provide a plausible reason for buying steel and reminded the estate’s residents to keep their stories consistent.
  • Noah read Morgans’s report about Golden Lion and reflected that Golden Lion could not trace the leak back to him in Loguetown.
  • Tsuru received the intelligence about Golden Lion’s location and requisitioned an Eternal Pose before informing Fleet Admiral Kong.
  • The Five Elders ordered Kong to send Borsalino to destroy Merveille Island and assess Golden Lion’s condition.
  • Borsalino fought Golden Lion for more than half an hour, but Golden Lion used the island to cover his escape.
  • Borsalino reported to Tsuru that Golden Lion’s Haki had deteriorated, and Tsuru ordered him back to Marine Headquarters.

Ch. 9Treasure Hunt

As the New World descended into conflict, Noah assessed his family’s training and began exploring the seabed for shipwrecks with Vic. By the start of 1503, their monthly treasure hunts had earned Noah Manor over 80 million Beli in valuables and uncovered a Skillful Grade Sword and two Eternal Poses.

  • Noah reviewed his family’s training reports, noting Joshua and Mary’s talent for Observation Haki, Vic’s for physical combat and Armament Haki, Anthony’s for swordsmanship, and Ray’s for shooting.
  • Noah and Vic took their upgraded submarine to the trade route between the Starfish Archipelago and Loguetown to search for shipwrecks.
  • Vic explored a wreck and recovered gold and silver vessels, coins, and gemstones worth about 300,000 Beli.
  • From September through the end of the year, Noah took Vic on four monthly treasure hunts, earning Noah Manor valuables worth over 80 million Beli and finding a Skillful Grade Sword and two Eternal Poses.

Ch. 10Treasure

Noah and Vic found a Devil Fruit while searching shipwrecks near Loguetown, then Noah traded information with Morgans for a Devil Fruit Encyclopedia and navigational materials. Noah left Morgans with a World Government scandal about Flevance and continued treasure hunting.

  • Vic searched a wrecked pirate ship and found treasure, a Log Pose, and a black patterned Devil Fruit in a hidden compartment.
  • Noah told Vic he would identify the fruit and offer it to him if its ability suited him, but Vic asked him to save it for Lilith and the others because he wanted to keep his ability to swim.
  • Noah called Morgans and arranged to collect a Devil Fruit Encyclopedia and Paradise navigational materials from his Loguetown branch in a week.
  • Noah told Morgans that the World Government had concealed the dangers of Amber Lead in Flevance and planned to destroy the country, and Morgans accepted the information as part of their trade.
  • Noah and Vic continued searching for treasure along the routes near Loguetown.

Ch. 11Identification

Noah and Vic recovered a vast treasure haul, including two Devil Fruits, from a sunken Tris Kingdom tribute ship before Noah traded information about Kaido to Morgans. Back on Starfish Island, Noah identified three Devil Fruits and gave the Graphite-Graphite Fruit to Jay, who ate it whole.

  • Noah and Vic explored a wreck at 220 meters and discovered the Tris Kingdom's lost Heavenly Tribute ship, recovering treasure worth about two billion Beli and two Devil Fruits.
  • Noah met Morgans in Loguetown and told him that Kaido had seized Wano and caused Kozuki Oden and his family to die.
  • Noah returned to Starfish Island and identified the three Devil Fruits as the Graphite-Graphite Fruit, the Carp Fruit, and the Silverback Gorilla Fruit.
  • Vic, Lilith, Lilian, and Mary declined the available fruits, while Jay asked for the Graphite-Graphite Fruit because he would become the family's shipwright.
  • Noah gave Jay the Graphite-Graphite Fruit, and Jay ate the entire fruit despite its awful taste.

Ch. 12Guidance

Noah watched Uncle Joseph eat the Silverback Gorilla Fruit and helped Jay begin developing the Graphite-Graphite Fruit. The chapter ended with Noah reflecting on what Uncle Joseph would need to awaken his Zoan powers.

  • Anthony, Tomani, and Ray declined the Silverback Gorilla Fruit, so Uncle Joseph ate it to avoid becoming a burden to Noah and Joshua.
  • Uncle Joseph transformed into a muscular giant, and Lilith agreed to buy him large, stretchy clothes.
  • Noah read Morgans's report on Flevance and used his flame-powered shoes to fly to the training ground.
  • Noah taught Jay to glide on graphite soles and tested graphite shields against flames, explaining the fruit's useful properties and stressing the importance of physical training.
  • Noah left Jay to practice and considered that awakening an ordinary Zoan Fruit required both a strong body and an iron will.

Ch. 13Another Branch

Noah awakened a divination ability in his tarot cards and used it to locate the Smooth-Smooth Fruit near Shells Town. He assessed the limits of the power and listed other Devil Fruits and pirate crews in the East Blue as potential targets for training and experiments.

  • Noah combined his Card-Card Fruit with Observation Haki to awaken divination abilities in his tarot cards.
  • Noah used the cards to determine that the Smooth-Smooth Fruit was on a deserted island near Shells Town, but learned that specific divinations consumed substantial mental energy and could generally be performed only once a month.
  • Noah recorded Devil Fruits that might still be in the East Blue and noted that the Steel-Steel Fruit was held by a pirate in the New World.
  • Noah identified Buck, Jack, and Guro as living East Blue pirate captains who used Devil Fruits and planned to hunt their crews to train Joshua and the others and study Devil Fruit recovery.

Ch. 14The Nautilus

Noah and his family built the Nautilus, a custom steel submarine, and prepared to leave Starfish Island. After completing its sea trials, they set sail for Shells Town, with Noah choosing to avoid the protagonist group along the way.

  • Noah, Jay, and the others built a secret dock and constructed a steel submarine fitted with specialized systems and emergency equipment.
  • In September 1503, Noah named the submarine the Nautilus after its sea trials were completed.
  • Noah packed the family’s equipment into cards, temporarily closed their businesses, and brought Uncle Joseph aboard before leaving Starfish Island.
  • The family assigned duties aboard the Nautilus, and Lilith plotted a course toward Shells Town.
  • Noah ordered the crew to avoid the protagonist group and decided it was too early to approach the two-year-old Nami.

Ch. 15A Chance Encounter

Noah’s group landed on Organ No. 52, where they killed Gaimon after he attacked them and then set up camp. While searching Gaimon’s home for the treasure he had mentioned, Uncle Joseph’s group discovered a sealed underground chamber and sent Vic to fetch diving suits.

  • Lilith found Organ No. 52, and Noah stored the Nautilus in a card after the group came ashore.
  • Gaimon shot at Uncle Joseph, but Joshua blocked the bullet, and Uncle Joseph’s group captured him in the jungle.
  • Noah ordered the group to punish Gaimon, beheaded him, and warned everyone to stay alert on the island.
  • Uncle Joseph, Joshua, Anthony, and Vic found Gaimon’s cabin and searched a nearby mountain for the treasure.
  • Anthony discovered a buried stone slab beneath empty chests, and Vic smashed it to reveal a chamber with too little oxygen to enter.
  • Anthony told Vic to fetch two diving suits from Noah.

Ch. 16Digging half a meter down

Noah’s group recovered a cache of trapped treasure from an underground chamber, including a Devil Fruit and a cursed blade. Noah suppressed the blade’s sinister will, named it Crimson Heart, and warned the others about the danger of cursed weapons.

  • Noah gave Vic diving equipment, and Anthony and Joshua searched the underground chamber, finding gold and jewels protected by poisoned needles.
  • Anthony realized the message on the wall pointed to a second cache buried half a meter down, and he and Joshua recovered two hidden boxes.
  • Noah had Jay separate the gems and melt down the gold, silver, and poisoned needles, then used divination to check the two boxes.
  • Noah opened the first box and found a Devil Fruit, then used Jay’s graphite puppet to open the second box and reveal a saber.
  • The saber tempted those nearby, but Noah suppressed its will with Conqueror’s Haki, named it Crimson Heart, and explained how to free someone controlled by a cursed blade.

Ch. 17Monarch Butterfly

Lilith ate the Bug-Bug Fruit, Model: Monarch Butterfly, gaining powerful sensory, camouflage, poison, flight, endurance, and strength abilities. After the Nautilus reached the Four-Leaf Clover Islands, Noah and three companions searched an uninhabited island for the Smooth-Smooth Fruit, and Noah suddenly noticed something.

  • Lilith ate the Monarch Butterfly Fruit and involuntarily released potent toxins until she learned to control them.
  • Noah guided Lilith as she discovered that the fruit greatly enhanced her Observation Haki and let her camouflage herself.
  • Lilith's strength rose to nearly a hundred times that of an ordinary person in a test.
  • After resting for two days, the Nautilus sailed on the surface and Lilith helped the crew avoid severe weather.
  • The Nautilus reached the Four-Leaf Clover Islands, and Noah led Anthony, Vic, and Joshua onto uninhabited island No. 08 to search for the Smooth-Smooth Fruit.
  • As the group finished searching across the island, Noah's eyes narrowed at something he noticed.

Ch. 18Training Battle

Noah and his companions ambushed and wiped out the Blood Knife Pirates after they landed on the deserted island, using the fight as training. They interrogated and executed Tanaka Taro, learned he had no knowledge of Ryuo, and left with the pirates’ swordsmanship manuals and a small amount of treasure.

  • Lilith detected the battered Blood Knife Pirates’ ship approaching and alerted Noah and the others, who hid along the shore.
  • After Tanaka Taro and his crew landed, Noah detonated bombs while Vic and Lilith captured Tanaka Taro and Parrot Guro, and the others killed the remaining pirates.
  • Noah ordered the crew to gather the bodies, search the pirate ship, and counsel those shaken by their first battle; Lilith and Anthony found modest treasure and set the ship ablaze.
  • The captives revealed that Tanaka Taro had once been Kozaburo’s disciple and had killed Koshiro’s wife; under interrogation, he surrendered the Isshin-ryu and Blood Demon Swordsmanship manuals and admitted to concealing dangers in their teachings.
  • Noah and Mary confirmed Tanaka Taro had no knowledge of Ryuo, then gave him a quick death.

Ch. 19Passing Each Other By

Noah found the Smooth-Smooth Fruit on Clover No. 11 Deserted Island and sailed on toward Sixis Island, where he believed the Flame-Flame Fruit was located. Mary ate the Smooth-Smooth Fruit and began testing its defensive and bodily abilities aboard the Nautilus.

  • Noah destroyed the Blood Knife Pirates’ ship and corpses, then continued searching for the Smooth-Smooth Fruit without success.
  • After divining that the journey to Clover No. 11 Deserted Island would bring an uncertain outcome, Noah ordered the Nautilus there at full speed.
  • Mary and Vic’s group found the Smooth-Smooth Fruit in a coconut grove, and Noah left the island before a hooded figure arrived on the beach.
  • Noah sailed toward Sixis Island and reviewed what he had learned about the locations of several Devil Fruits.
  • Mary ate the Smooth-Smooth Fruit, discovered that a knife slid off her skin, and began experimenting with its powers aboard the Nautilus.

Ch. 20Sikasis

Noah and his companions spent a month on Sikasis Island, finding the Flame-Flame Fruit and searching the island and its surrounding ship graveyard for treasure. After Ray gained the Hole-Hole Fruit and left a spatial coordinate on the island, the Nautilus departed for Nami's homeland, the Oykot Kingdom.

  • Noah's group established camp on Sikasis Island, found the Flame-Flame Fruit in a tidal cave, and gave it to Lilian.
  • The group searched the island's caves, collected about 200 million Beli's worth of treasure, and then began training.
  • Vic and Jay searched the underwater shipwrecks; they found a Red Fox Zoan Fruit, an ancient stone stele, and the Hole-Hole Fruit, which Ray ate.
  • By the end of the month, Vic and Jay had recovered about 3.7 billion Beli's worth of treasure and numerous other items, including weapons, Log Poses, and Adam Wood.
  • Ray left a spatial coordinate on Sikasis Island, and Noah's group sailed east toward the Oykot Kingdom.
