The man was still glaring at Li Xingkong, his eyes seemingly ready to spit fire. He wished he could kill Li Xingkong with that glare alone.

"Offend the Bloody Hand Gang, and you'll come to a bad end."

Irritated, Li Xingkong gave him a kick.

"Is that all you know how to say?"

He searched the man he was holding and pulled out a handgun.

He clicked off the safety and pressed the gun against the man.

"For every extra word of nonsense, I'll fire another shot."

"Who's in charge of the Bloody Hand Gang, and what floor is he on?"

Perhaps seeing that Li Xingkong wasn't bluffing, the man finally grew afraid.

"The managers are on the eleventh floor, and the boss's office is on the twelfth. We all call the man in charge Old Mark."

Having gotten the information he wanted, Li Xingkong threw the man against the wall. The impact left him unable to get back up.

"Where were you going in such a hurry?"

Although he had gotten the information, Li Xingkong had a vague feeling that what the man was doing had something to do with him too. He picked up the bag the man had dropped on the floor.

Inside were some jumbled documents. On closer inspection, they did indeed contain information on Li Xingkong.

Although the information wasn't especially comprehensive, the documents already included Li Xingkong's photograph, his residence on Prisoner Continent, and the events of all sizes that had occurred since he arrived there.

The descriptions were detailed, and even the shell company he used to purchase materials had been marked.

Under the list of his assets, there was a separate table, with quite a few assets already crossed out.

Li Xingkong understood that they had probably already seized those assets.

Quite a bit of information, including his phone number, had also been noted down. But since he had few contacts and mostly called his family, there didn't seem to have been much action on that front.

If his phone hadn't been from Divine Land, a positioning satellite might already have used it to find him.

Watching Li Xingkong read through the documents, the man realized in horror that the person before him seemed to be the superpowered human they were looking for-the secret weapon.

"I didn't expect you to be this fast!"

The man let out an exclamation. He couldn't complain about being caught by Li Xingkong.

"But you dared to provoke Freedom City. Your death isn't far off either!"

Li Xingkong didn't reply. He finished the man off quickly, then set the documents in his hands on fire.

He had found the location of the person in charge of the Bloody Hand Gang; now all he needed was a suitable opportunity to break in.

But Li Xingkong couldn't be bothered to wait anymore. There was no time like the present, so he would go now.

He found a toy store and bought a whole bag of rubber bullets, then slipped back to the foot of the Bloody Hand Gang's headquarters.

He would be spotted if he went through the door, and working his way up from the ground floor would be a hassle, so Li Xingkong chose to climb the outer wall instead.

For an ordinary person, a high-rise like this would have been impossible to even begin climbing. All four sides were glass curtain walls with hardly anywhere to get a grip; only at the corners where the walls met were there supporting structures made of concrete and lime.

But for Li Xingkong, it was a piece of cake.

Leaving aside his ability to coat his hands in mana and create suction like a gecko's pads, he could climb a structure like this barehanded as casually as walking.

After finding a spot that looked about right, Li Xingkong spat into his palms and rubbed them together twice. He leaped sharply upward, and by the time his hands caught hold, he was already nearly level with the third floor.

As if sprinting across flat ground, Li Xingkong covered the few dozen meters and reached the outside of the twelfth floor in less than a few seconds.

He shifted his support, bracing himself in place with his legs, and looked inside.

The vast floor had been opened up into a single large room, which was divided into several areas, most of them for leisure. Across the floor, a few people sat chatting on sofas, apparently holding a meeting.

Security personnel stood guard at every exit and by the elevators. The security measures looked quite thorough.

Attacking from inside the building would have been very difficult. Against the defenses on this floor alone, even Li Xingkong would inevitably have been injured.

But Li Xingkong didn't play by the rules.

Only in games would characters armed with shotguns still be stopped by a lousy door.

Keeping close to the gap between the eleventh and twelfth floors, Li Xingkong slid from one corner of the building to the other. "Slid" wasn't quite right; he had actually propelled himself across with a sudden burst of force.

He was closer to the people inside now. Without waiting, Li Xingkong made his move.

He raised his hand and punched a corner of a glass pane, smashing a fist-sized hole in it.

The noise was naturally enormous, startling everyone at the meeting inside. They turned toward the sound.

They were frightened at first sight by the person hanging outside the wall, and some were quick enough to start drawing their weapons.

Unfortunately for them, Li Xingkong was faster.

Right behind it, through the hole he had smashed, came a Shotgun Spell fired by Li Xingkong, loaded with the rubber bullets he had just acquired.

The entire floor instantly became a harrowing battlefield, countless bullets flying everywhere and covering practically the whole floor.

And since Li Xingkong had used rubber bullets, they ricocheted all over the place, making their paths through the room even more chaotic.

The people inside barely had a chance to fire; some didn't even have time to react.

Then, with a puff, all the glass on the twelfth floor burst outward.

Only when he could no longer hear bullets flying around did Li Xingkong climb in from outside.

The commotion had been enormous, and people would probably come up to investigate soon. Li Xingkong needed to check the casualties on the floor as quickly as possible and see if he could find any trace of Luke Morgan while he was at it.

He moved quickly, reaching the sofas where the group had been meeting in just a few flashes.

There were eight people in all, sprawled across the floor. None appeared to be alive. Li Xingkong gave each of them a couple of kicks, but none moved.

He picked up the documents on the conference table and looked through them. There was more information here, and they had also been discussing a plan to capture him. They had even put many related measures in place inside the building.

On the floor directly below, they had already prepared no fewer than five capture plans.

Some had proposed turning an elevator into a trap: as soon as he entered, it would malfunction and be sealed shut. Others had proposed a poison gas attack, and had even converted the entire fifth floor below into an enclosed space; as soon as someone stepped inside, they would launch the gas attack.

There were also quite a few follow-up plans, covering things like how to divide up the corpse, places to hide, and what to do if the plan failed.

After only a few glances, Li Xingkong was already feeling a little numb.

With their methods, they really would have had him at their mercy as he was now. Unfortunately for them, they had guarded against everything, but never expected that he wouldn't use the stairs at all.

There was no time to look at anything else. Li Xingkong could already hear the elevator and footsteps coming from the stairs. He took the documents, grabbed a few of the phones scattered across the table, and rushed to the shattered window, where he leaped out and dropped down.

It certainly wasn't a route a normal person would take, but for Li Xingkong, it was still a piece of cake. Climbing up had been easy, and going down would be even easier.

He slid swiftly down the wall to the ground and slipped away without hesitation.

Security downstairs had originally been tight, but now that something had happened upstairs, the entire building had immediately been locked down. Even the ground-floor entrances had been shut, and the security personnel were all searching inside, making it convenient for Li Xingkong to leave.

As for the Bloody Hand Gang, why waste words on them? From today onward, they would probably have to reorganize.
