"Reconnaissance ship 10086, what's the matter?"
After a thorough inspection, the Kobolds retracted the bomb wires from his chest and closed his spacesuit.
"We have reached the target planet's orbit, and the infiltration plan has been thwarted, but we have obtained relevant information about that civilization."
"The infiltration plan was thwarted? Do you even understand? This is a military operation. Without sufficient justification, you don't need to come back!"
The other end of the communicator had switched to a real person, and it was clear that this person was not someone to be trifled with, at least not to them; their words were full of disdain.
"First, report the information you obtained. The punishment will then be determined based on the value of that information."
The Kobolds looked helpless, but it dared not be careless; its life was still in the hands of the other side.
Looking back, there was still no movement from Leopard Head. He wondered what the situation was like in the command center. After standing a little further away from the door, the Kobolds continued his report.
"The civilization in this galaxy is far more advanced than the observed intraplanetary civilizations. Their technological development system is different from ours. What we know so far is that individuals in this civilization can physically break through the atmosphere and achieve space travel without any auxiliary equipment."
"They can unleash energy cannons to attack without weapons, and their attack power is very strong. The reconnaissance ship's weapon system was paralyzed with a single hit. Their physical strength has an unknown limit, but the ship has already been rammed by a local creature."
"The reconnaissance spacecraft is no longer able to return; we urgently need a rescue ship to come to our aid!"
It was both a way to relay intelligence and a request for rescue; after all, nobody wants to die, right?
"I'm confirming again, you're not lying to me. If you're lying, even if you're saved, you won't escape our judgment."
"No, I guarantee it, every word is true!"
The Kobolds bowed and scraped; if it weren't for the fact that the person opposite couldn't see it, it would have knelt down and kowtowed several times.
"Wait, this intelligence is quite valuable. I need to report it to the commander."
There was no sound from the other end of the communicator; the operator had probably gone to report.
The Kobolds was getting anxious. The spaceship's circulation system wouldn't last much longer, and there was an alien creature fighting in the command center. It didn't know the exact situation yet, so it couldn't help but be tense.
After circling around a few times, it opened the door between the communications room and the command center a crack, wanting to check the current situation.
The command center was completely destroyed, with broken instruments and seats everywhere, clearly indicating that the spaceship's command system was also beyond repair.
However, the situation on the scene was somewhat unexpected.
The superhuman native creature was being chased by the Leopard Head, but judging from the Leopard Head's condition, it wasn't in much better shape either, limping as it moved, clearly suffering from a serious injury.
Sometimes, even when it seemed like Leopard Head's twin blades could reach the creature's body with a simple reach, it would deliberately slow down, for reasons unknown.
Just as the Kobolds was secretly watching, Old Firewood squeezed in through the crack in the door.
"What's going on? Is Leopard Head holding back?"
The Kobolds was confused.
"Hey, it's not just letting the water flow; it's in a bind now."
After Old Firewood entered the communications room, he slumped against the wall.
"You have no idea how fierce that guy is. Did you see the sword in Leopard Head's hand?"
The Kobolds glanced at it.
"I see it, but weren't there supposed to be two? Why is there only one?"
"The other one has flown off to who knows where."
The bark of the Old Firewood was all wet; I don't know if it was sweat or something else.
"That local creature didn't seem to have much combat experience, so it was frightened by the Leopard Head and ran around in circles. The Leopard Head creature thought it had an opportunity and went up and stabbed her."
"The knife did manage to strike, but with a flick of her wrist, it flew out of Leopard Head's hand, creating another gap in the command center, and soared into space."
"I saw it with my own eyes as the knife struck its body; there wasn't even a white mark."
"The problem now is, if Leopard Head shows any weakness and she realizes what's going on, we're all doomed... Have you contacted your superiors yet? When will reinforcements arrive?"
The Kobolds waved the communicator in his hand, and the "on call" indicator made Old Firewood shut up.
I'm afraid I didn't say anything I shouldn't have.
"Support is on its way, but a rescue ship is unnecessary."
At that moment, a serious voice came through the communicator.
That's so familiar. These cannon fodder can't possibly forget that voice. Isn't that General Aozile, the commander-in-chief of this operation?
"Then... should we continue with the infiltration?"
The Kobolds spoke haltingly.
"Now that we've already engaged with the local creatures, let's test their danger. The infiltration plan is off. In five minutes, your team of three will detonate the bombs together. A follow-up team will observe the operation."
"I,,"
Before the Kobolds could say anything more, the communicator was abruptly cut off.
Before they could say anything more, the bombs on their bodies began to count down in no time.
The Kobolds and the Old Firewood exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with despair.
"Oh no, I shouldn't have come out."
"This is terrible! I'm still an immature tree, I don't even have a boyfriend yet..."
"What should we do? Should we just commit suicide?"
"What can you do? If you could, you would have gotten rid of this thing long ago."
The Kobolds and the Tree People leaned against the wall, too lazy to even move.
Leopard Head was covered in sweat.
It's almost at its breaking point.
In terms of endurance, it's really not good at it. After walking this guy for so long, its whole body's functions are already sending warning signals to its brain.
Just as he was about to grit his teeth and persevere, a beep sounded, and his expression instantly fell.
He pulled open his spacesuit and saw a countdown timer appearing on the bomb.
It had indeed seen this thing before, because during training, its kin who hadn't met the training standards had been shown this scene under the control of the Snail People.
This countdown is basically unstoppable; once it starts, it's the countdown to its end.
Well, the Kobolds's report probably failed. It seems the Snail People are going to sacrifice a few of them to test the strength of these local creatures.
A bitter feeling welled up in Leopard Head's heart.
Nobody wants to die.
Distracted by this thing, Leopard Head stumbled and slid out in a kneeling position.
By sheer coincidence, he slid right up to Hupo and kowtowed deeply to her.
"Ah?"
Hupo ran for a long time without breaking a sweat, but she was scared.
I didn't dare turn my head, afraid that if I did, this guy would pounce on me and bite me.
But now there was no way to run away; the strange leopard immediately knelt down before her.
He even performed a deep bow, Heavenly Capital.
What's going on here?
She couldn't understand.
However, looking at the leopard, she somehow sensed a sense of despair in its expression.
It's strange, why do animals have facial expressions? How can she understand them?
Hupo didn't think about it in detail; she considered how others had handled the situation.
"Ahem, may you rise, my dear subject?"
Hupo blinked. Then she realized that she was in a vacuum, and she couldn't speak.
Then, using Spiritual Qi as a medium, Hupo transmitted her voice to the Leopard Head's ear... emmm, that thing should be an ear, right?
Hupo's voice interrupted the Leopard Head, which was in despair. It raised its head and looked at Hupo.
My mind was already racing, but the sudden interruption jolted me awake.
Yeah, I can't handle this thing myself, but the guy on the other side might be able to!
As if he had found a lifeline, Leopard Head immediately leaned forward and hugged Hupo's legs with both hands.
"Wild Daddy, help me, Wild Daddy!"
