"Give me a glass of tree sap."
In the noisy tavern, several aliens dressed as mercenaries sat together in twos and threes, clinking glasses and exchanging toasts, when a guy in a black cloak walked in.
Ignoring the intentional or unintentional glances from those around him, he walked straight to the bar counter, tapped the table, and uttered a broken Snail People phrase.
"Okay, right away."
The tavern owner did have a rather unusual appearance. Her upper body resembled a human's, but her dark purple skin gave her a unique charm. The fuzzy barbs around her joints didn't make her look so fierce; instead, they added a touch of beauty to her.
However, when she got up to pour the wine, Li Xingkong realized that her lower body was much larger than expected.
Its entire lower body resembled a spider, covered by an insect-like carapace that shone with a metallic sheen.
Outer space is truly full of wonders. After disembarking from the Chamber of Commerce's ship, Li Xingkong thought he had seen quite a few aliens, but every step he took in this place brought him new surprises.
The proprietress was incredibly agile, leading me directly up the wall behind the bar. The bartender's booth was located on this wall, which was quite a unique feature.
She poured out several different colored liquors from several barrels and mixed them together. Although her movements were very agile, Li Xingkong did frown as he watched.
That's right, the person who came to drink was naturally Li Xingkong. The simplest way to make the aliens in this core star system back down was for him to show up in person.
With so many bounties posted outside, the moment he shows his face, everyone in this galaxy should know that this is their next target.
As for whether his current reputation could scare these guys away, Li Xingkong wasn't really sure. Although the title of "Planet Exterminator " was indeed intimidating, those who traded between StarCraft were obviously not good people.
If the situation doesn't go as expected, Li Xingkong has further plans.
Your wine is ready.
The Spider Woman proprietress climbed down from the wall and handed the wine glass to Li Xingkong Li Xingkong. She deliberately moved closer to him with her graceful figure, and a rich fragrance wafted over.
"Hey buddy, you look unfamiliar. Are you new here? This drink is on me."
"No need."
Li Xingkong reached out and took the wine glass. The black cloak he was wearing automatically untied itself, as if it had come to life, and went to hang behind the chair.
The moment the cloak was removed, Li Xingkong heard a rapid gasp from the landlady's body, as if she had seen something astonishing. He had originally wanted to tease her a bit, but at this moment, her body stiffened.
Even the fragrance on her body seemed to have been cut off in half.
The sudden silence was abrupt and awkward, which piqued the interest of several mercenaries who were eager to see the newcomer make a fool of himself.
The proprietress is capable of running this tavern; she must have some skills. It would be difficult for her to show this expression to an ordinary person.
Their gaze shifted to Li Xingkong.
Thin, with black hair, he looked like a hairless monkey. This guy didn't seem like anyone important at all. They had been in the mercenary circle in the area for so long, and this person was still a complete stranger to them.
Could it be that the boss's mistress's lover has come knocking on the door?
"Boss lady? What's this? Your lover's showing up? You look like a skinny monkey. How about you consider me, brother?"
The mercenaries, who had been drinking, clearly didn't notice the problem. A burly man, who was at least 2 meters tall, started shouting.
Golden fur, cat paws, and the markings on its head—this undoubtedly indicates that this creature is a large cat.
Hearing this guy's teasing words, the proprietress's heart sank to the bottom.
She wasn't one of those clueless people; she recognized Li Xingkong Li Xingkong moment she saw him.
After all, the bounty posters for those Snail People- men guys had just been plastered Earthly Capital, so as a tavern owner, I'm naturally very familiar with this area.
Although she looked down on those Snail People, she had her own sources of information about the contents of the bounty posters.
What was written is absolutely true, and it couldn't be more true.
In other words, the person sitting in front of him now is a formidable figure capable of taking on an entire galaxy single-handedly—a true powerhouse.
The mercenaries in his shop, though they seem capable enough, are actually no match for him when it comes to fighting.
Looking at it now, aside from being all show and no substance, he's still a nobody.
If I don't do something soon, I'm afraid I'll be dragged down with them and die.
"Guest, guest, guest, what would you like to drink? It's all free."
Li Xingkong slowly savored the so-called tree sap, not caring about the strange plant flavor mixed with a faint milky taste and a hint of fermented wine aroma. It did indeed have a unique flavor.
"With such a lisp, it's no wonder your tavern is still running."
After finishing his drink, Li Xingkong made a joke.
"Yes, yes, it's really tough running this tavern. How about I give it to you?"
A small tavern is nothing compared to her life.
"Just kidding, why are you so flustered, boss lady?"
Li Xingkong glanced at her; her body under the counter was trembling so badly she couldn't stand up.
"So, you know who I am?"
"I don't know, I don't know..."
The proprietress shook her head as if she'd been slapped.
Li Xingkong put down his wine glass, glanced back, and saw that the mercenaries had fallen silent at some point; a few of them who were closer to the door had already quietly slipped out.
Clearly, in those few short sentences, they had already figured out where they came from.
There aren't many fools who can become mercenaries; those who aren't smart won't last long in this line of work.
Li Xingkong didn't try to scare the poor alien girl anymore, after all, he wasn't a bad person.
"Three days, only three days."
He held up his hand and made a three, then waved. The wine barrel hanging on the wall by the proprietress opened by itself, and the wine inside automatically jumped into Li Xingkong's glass according to the previous ratio.
Three days later, not a single chicken or dog was left on that planet.
Li Xingkong's voice wasn't loud, but everyone still in the tavern could hear it clearly.
When they tried to see Li Xingkong again, they found that the person who had been sitting at the bar had vanished.
"Phew! I survived!"
The proprietress's body went limp, and she collapsed to the ground. She no longer cared how many mercenaries were still drinking in the shop. At that moment, she had only one thought in her mind: to survive.
Few of the mercenaries in the shop could sit still; they were all filled with fear.
Although they are all outlaws, there is a difference between an outlaw and a madman.
"You golden chinchilla, you bastard, don't let me see you again!"
Once she came to her senses, the proprietress smashed a glass of wine in her hand directly onto the big cat, soaking it completely.
"I fucking want to go home! I fucking want to go home!"
The golden shaded cat didn't even wipe the wine off its body, muttering something under its breath.
It may be arrogant, but that doesn't mean it's brainless. What it fears most right now is being pinned down and killed the next second because its left foot went out the door first.
