Li Xingkong wasn't afraid of it making a move; what he feared was not being able to sense it.
After all, there's really nothing you can do when facing an opponent you can't detect.
But if you can detect even the slightest thing that's wrong, it means there's still a possibility of a fight.
Perhaps this guy underestimated Li Xingkong, or perhaps his preparations were inadequate. In any case, after Li Xingkong turned into particles, he made several more attempts, but all of them came up empty-handed; he didn't get any memories.
Li Xingkong even felt as if it had thrown something towards him, but after touching him, that thing was like a bubble being popped – empty.
Although Li Xingkong hadn't sensed anything before, after his particle-state body gained perception, and with the calculations of the Hexagram, Li Xingkong's Divine Sense quickly adjusted, and attacks appeared in his Divine Sense in a direct form.
But simply relying on defense isn't reliable; without the ability to attack, one can only passively defend, which isn't Li Xingkong's style.
He wants to find out how the other party exists by analyzing its methods and forms of attack, and then find a way to eliminate it.
While the calculations based on Hexagram are powerful, no matter how complex the calculations are, one must first have a starting point.
Li Xingkong has absolutely no clue about this guy's attack methods or his way of being.
If Li Xingkong hadn't learned about the relationship between higher and lower dimensions through the system, he would have started thinking about attacks from higher dimensions.
However, once he could sense his opponent's attack method, Li Xingkong put the idea out of his mind; this thing was definitely unrelated to dimensions.
It's just that its form of existence is somewhat special.
Seeing that its attacks were no longer effective, the creature seemed to be getting impatient, and the frequency of its attacks increased, making the fluctuations that Li Xingkong could detect more and more obvious.
It took three days to complete the deduction of the Hexagram.
Everything points to Kaiko.
The form in which this unknown organism exists is very likely a completely tachyon state.
In other words, it is a primordial tachyon-state life form, consistent with the form that Li Xingkong will transform into.
The reason why Li Xingkong couldn't sense its existence is actually quite simple.
All of Li Xingkong's previous detections were aimed at known life types. Even tachyons, in Li Xingkong's Divine Sense detection, were just a mass of lifeless particles.
Naturally, this wouldn't attract Li Xingkong's attention.
Only after the Hexagram was completed and its form of existence was determined did Li Xingkong refocus his attention on the newly entered field of tachyons.
Sure enough, from this tachyon angle, Li Xingkong quickly spotted the attacker.
Its very existence is a rich mass of tachyons, invisible and colorless, making it impossible to detect using conventional observation methods.
It was like a fish, or a dagger, seemingly unaware that Li Xingkong had noticed it. Instead, it stared fiercely at Li Xingkong, pacing back and forth as if pondering how to strike Li Xingkong.
Li Xingkong didn't attack it immediately. After all, Li Xingkong had only just determined its mode of existence. He needed to observe it carefully before finding a way to kill or capture it.
The swift-moving fish circled around Li Xingkong's body a few times, as if it had made up its mind.
With a flick of its tail, it pierced towards Li Xingkong like a sharp sword.
Unfortunately, Li Xingkong's attacks were as ineffective as the surface of water.
It even began to approach Li Xingkong, opening its mouth as if to devour Li Xingkong into particles. However, there was no interaction between the two, and the particles it swallowed dissipated from its body without any effect whatsoever.
Li Xingkong discovered something.
This guy seems to be brainless.
It was like some kind of primal wild beast, acting entirely on instinct. Was its previous attack less of an ambush and more of a predatory spree?
From any perspective, this guy doesn't seem to be very intelligent.
That's strange. Why would such a creature seek me out?
In such a vast universe, could it really be such a coincidence that I encountered such a creature?
Li Xingkong has never believed in coincidences; there must be some underlying reason behind everything that happens.
After observing for a while, perhaps because it had no way to deal with Li Xingkong, it seemed to have lost interest, but it still didn't leave. However, it was more like a seasoned veteran in the workplace, lazily wandering Li Xingkong.
Li Xingkong felt he had gathered enough information and prepared to take action against the fish.
A small portion of the shape quietly transformed into a tachyon state, and then formed a "fishing net".
Taking advantage of the fish's renewed attack, Li Xingkong spread out his fishing net and scooped it up.
The fishing net worked perfectly; it trapped the fish halfway across the water, and no matter how much it struggled, it couldn't escape its reach.
Li Xingkong even saw a hint of panic in its eyes, as if it was surprised that someone could catch it.
Li Xingkong reverted to his physical form, but in one hand, a tachyon-sized fishing net floated in mid-air, with the fish inside struggling and smashing the net into various shapes.
As a naturally occurring tachyon-state organism, this thing is extremely rare even in the entire universe. Li Xingkong wasn't even sure if other species had ever discovered it.
There is so much to study about such a creature, from its form of existence and reproduction to its attack methods, such as how it attacks itself to acquire memories, or even what it does with the ball of matter it throws out. All of these are worthy of in-depth research.
Just as Li Xingkong was about to begin his research, the fish thrashed about twice, realizing it seemed unable to escape, and then its body began to swell.
Despite the fishing net's obstruction, the creature's swollen body stretched the net to its maximum extent.
Just when Li Xingkong thought it was about to self-destruct or something, the fish suddenly stopped moving, as if it had lost its life.
Is it feigned death, or is it part of a biological instinct?
Li Xingkong poked it twice, but there was no reaction at all.
Is this an attempt to look so convincing?
After another inspection, it seemed to be truly dead; it didn't seem fake.
But how could that be? A tachyon state organism is immune to both physical attacks and mental attacks; how could it die so easily?
Li Xingkong sensed something was wrong, so he spread his Divine Sense outwards.
