Li Xingkong unfolded the concept. Within the area touched by the Dao Evolution Domain, the sense of Distortion returned to normal as a wisp of Calamity Ash fell. However, outside the domain, the concept of the Weaver of Refutation was still in effect, and the endless sense of Distortion completely surrounded Li Xingkong from all sides.
Then, in that incredibly Distortion space, countless tentacles formed from black mist stabbed towards Li Xingkong.
Li Xingkong remained unhurried, reaching out and grasping a long sword that materialized in his hand. In an instant, countless sword lights crisscrossed, cleaving the incoming tentacles in two.
After the concept of Severance took effect, the tentacle immediately turned into Calamity Ash within Dao Evolution's domain.
The tentacle was clearly part of the Weaver of Refutation's main body, and it was precisely because of this that it was able to block the erosion of the Dao Evolution Domain when it was intact.
However, although the Weaver of Refutation seemed somewhat mindless, it still possessed fighting instincts. It did not appear directly in Li Xingkong's field of vision, but instead used the Distortion space it created to keep its true form outside of Li Xingkong's perception range.
If it weren't for Li Xingkong's Dao Evolution Domain opening up a certain perspective for him, Li Xingkong would be like a disabled person with his five senses blocked, completely helpless against the Weaver of Refutation.
Clearly, this is that guy's usual hunting tactic: first, block the opponent's senses, and then seize the opportunity to move around and slowly wear them down.
Like a spider, it lays out its web, waiting for its prey to struggle until it's exhausted before reaping the harvest.
However, the battles between immortals are clearly different from those between ordinary cultivators. It is obviously unlikely that the Weaver can hold Li Xingkong back through a war of attrition.
If Li Xingkong intended to drag this out, he could easily hold out until the end of this era.
But Li Xingkong wasn't there to play house with him.
Although his five senses and Divine Sense were affected, rendering him unable to see, hear, or probe with his Divine Sense, it did not prevent Li Xingkong from finding it.
Firstly, there was a conceptual appeal guiding Li Xingkong; secondly, Li Xingkong could see the line of fate.
Although reality was Distortion, that long thread of fate established a connection between the two when the Weaver of Refutation attacked him.
Unfortunately, this Weaver's abilities were clearly not yet sufficient to Distortion the threads of fate.
Or rather, in its barren mind, it is completely incapable of understanding what fate is.
The methods and Divine Sense of immortals are somewhat similar. Their abilities and methods can only affect things within their own perception.
It doesn't even know what the fate line is, so how can it interfere with it?
For Li Xingkong, not being able to see anything was unimportant; all he needed to do was find the Weaver.
Following the direction indicated by the line of fate, Li Xingkong flashed several times at an extremely fast speed. The line of fate connecting him and the Weaver was rapidly shortening, and soon, a colossal object appeared within Li Xingkong's observable range.
Although increasingly dense tentacles were engulfing Li Xingkong from all directions, Li Xingkong ignored them completely. He activated the concepts of Damage Reduction and HP Lock, and the tentacles that landed on him did not cause Li Xingkong the slightest harm.
Although the Distortion power on those tentacles could briefly break through Li Xingkong's defenses, that was all. This guy's attack methods were not as effective as his web-weaving ability. Against Li Xingkong, it was only a gentle breeze, slightly chilly.
Upon seeing the Weaver, Li Xingkong did not hesitate. He transformed into a blade of light, cleaving the Weaver's massive body in two.
Countless wisps of black mist spread out, and the Weaver let out a wail before transforming into two wisps of mist that fled out of Li Xingkong's sight and merged back into one.
Immortals are inherently difficult to kill. Li Xingkong's Severance concepts only reached the Heavenly Immortal stage. He could sever the physical body and soul, but it would still take a lot of effort to sever conceptual bodies.
Fortunately, this strike wasn't entirely useless. Li Xingkong estimated that he only needed to deliver a few thousand more blows, and the creature would surely be slain.
Having escaped the attack, the Weaver began to move around constantly, changing his position, seemingly trying to prevent Li Xingkong from finding him.
Unfortunately, that line of fate was so obvious that it was impossible for Li Xingkong not to see it.
Each strike of the blade precisely cut the Weaver in two, and after being slashed more than ten times by Li Xingkong, a small portion of the Weaver's body had already been completely Severance.
The concept of Severance has taken effect; it will likely take him quite some time to restore this body.
Clearly, the Weaver realized that if things continued this way, it would be the one whose flesh was being cut by a dull knife. Its countless eyes blinked again and again, and finally it let out a piercing scream.
"Useless! Can't even handle a mere fairy who barged into this place. You're truly a dog."
Following the Weaver's shriek, another person descended from the Mist above the Mist Continent.
The person wore a long, close-fitting robe, revealing a graceful figure that was captivating. However, beneath the robe was not an ordinary face, but a mass of liquid that flowed like water.
Perhaps because he had been insulted by this person, the Weaver of Refutation also let out a few sharp cries, seemingly getting angry.
But before it could make a move, it was cleaved into several pieces by Li Xingkong's blade and could only flee in a sorry state.
The newly appeared man saw the strike, but his eyes held a hint of disdain. Though his swordsmanship was strong, he was nothing more than a brute.
" Foolish Blindness!"
The Weaver of Refutation had been slain several times in the blink of an eye, let out a wail. The newcomer was clearly the second deity of this Mist Continent, the Foolish and Blind Goddess.
"Fine, let me lend you a hand."
The Foolish and Blind Goddess waved her hand, and the air throughout the Mist Continent surged like a tide.
Like waves, it surged towards Li Xingkong.
But Li Xingkong seemed not to see the wave at all, and was directly swept into it.
The wave disappeared as it landed on Li Xingkong, as if it were just an illusion. But only the Foolish and Blind Goddess knew that her methods had worked.
Li Xingkong became increasingly adept at killing people.
The Weaver of Refutation is like a target; it flees, he chases, and when he catches up, he strikes.
After only a few days of fighting, Li Xingkong felt that he had torn a piece of his concept from the Weaver of Refutation, and it was only a matter of time before it was killed.
Li Xingkong seemed to have forgotten everything else; he only remembered that he had come to kill someone, and the person he was going to kill was the guy opposite him.
Even though there seemed to be other people watching, so what? As long as they weren't in his way, it wouldn't stop him from killing people.
