Ch. 102Your Grandpa the Worker Is Here!

Pazu, Sheeta, and Dola watched soldiers ransack Valley Town until Duffi led the miners in a fight against them. Mu En gave the three golden Incantations to help the workers, but Sheeta’s light drew soldiers who rushed to capture her.

  • Pazu tried to charge into the district, but Dola pulled him back and warned him about the soldiers’ guns.
  • Duffi punched an agent and rallied more than three hundred miners, who charged the soldiers and gained the upper hand.
  • Mu En granted Pazu, Sheeta, and Dola golden marks, protective Incantations, and weapons of light.
  • Pazu tested the protection and strength of the Incantations, then their bright glow attracted soldiers to Sheeta.
  • The soldiers abandoned the brawl and rushed to seize Sheeta for the reward Colonel Muska had promised.

Ch. 103Pazu, God of War

Pazu and Dola used their newly granted powers to help Duffi and the miners drive the kingdom’s soldiers and union agents out of Valley Town. The townspeople joined the fight after the soldiers shot workers, and the remaining forces fled in trucks.

  • Pazu defeated eight soldiers with the Shield of Immutability, and Dola joined the fight using a golden dagger and Erdtree’s Protection.
  • Pazu and Dola joined Duffi and more than three hundred miners in pushing back the soldiers.
  • A black-suited agent shot three miners, enraging the townspeople, who swarmed the soldiers and agents.
  • Soldiers fired into the crowd and wounded more than a dozen workers, but Pazu and Dola took down the gunmen.
  • The surviving soldiers and agents fled Valley Town in military trucks after the crowd overwhelmed them.

Ch. 104Cleaning Up the Aftermath

After Valley Town defeated General Muoro’s soldiers, Pazu and Sheeta helped the townspeople deal with the wounded and prisoners. Seeing the clinic overwhelmed, they turned to the Golden Seed for a way to save the injured.

  • Duffi praised Pazu for helping defend Valley Town, then organized the townspeople to care for the wounded and clean the street.
  • Dola and her sons bound the captured soldiers and gathered their valuables.
  • Sheeta tried to help treat a miner’s wound but became overwhelmed by the injury and felt guilty for bringing the soldiers to town.
  • Pazu reassured Sheeta that the soldiers were to blame and urged her to focus on helping the injured.
  • Sheeta took out the Golden Seed and asked her lord to use its power to heal the wounded.

Ch. 105The Divine Tree Descends

Mu En accepted the Volucite’s energy and used it to grow the Golden Seed into a gigantic Erdtree outside Valley Town. The tree’s descent left the town bathed in golden light, while Pazu and Sheeta clung to its rising branches.

  • Sheeta pleaded with the Golden Seed to save the injured townspeople, and Mu En resolved to help as many as he could.
  • The Volucite offered its energy to Mu En, who accepted and replenished his power through the gemstone.
  • Mu En told Sheeta and Pazu to take the overloaded Golden Seed to an open space outside town, and they cleared a path through the crowd.
  • Sheeta threw the Golden Seed onto open ground, where Mu En released its power and roots and branches burst from the earth.
  • Pazu grabbed Sheeta as the growing tree lifted them into the air, while the townspeople and Dola's Gang watched in awe.
  • The Erdtree grew to more than three hundred meters tall, spreading roots through the canyon and mines and casting golden light over Valley Town.

Ch. 106Plunder and Gifts

Mu En grew a tree avatar by absorbing Volucite energy and used its power to heal Valley Town’s residents. The townspeople worshipped the Erdtree, while Pazu and Sheeta watched from its canopy and shared a joyful moment.

  • Mu En stopped drawing energy from the weakened Volucite spirit after his tree avatar reached its growth limit.
  • Mu En discovered that his tree avatar could plunder Volucite energy and convert it into Runes, though his main body remained vital to his survival.
  • Mu En declared himself the embodiment of the Golden Order and sent a golden wave across Valley Town that healed the injured, cured illnesses, and restored disabilities.
  • The residents of Valley Town bowed to the Erdtree and thanked it for restoring their health.
  • Pazu reassured Sheeta that everyone in Valley Town had received the god’s help, and the two children held hands and laughed atop the tree.

Ch. 107Your Incantations and Industrial Technology Bundle Has Arrived

Mu En assessed the Incantations and technology he had gained in the world of Castle in the Sky and considered how to use them in the Valley of the Wind. He planned to turn the captured soldiers into informants and seek Dola’s ornithopter technology.

  • Mu En decided to favor Pazu and Sheeta after watching them reunite.
  • Mu En reviewed his newly unlocked Incantations, including powerful healing spells and the strategic-level Elden Stars.
  • Mu En considered combining Valley Town’s steam technology with Ceramic Steel and local coal to industrialize the Valley of the Wind.
  • Mu En decided to have Dola train the captured soldiers as potential informants for intelligence on General Muoro.
  • Mu En remembered Dola’s ornithopters and planned to discuss acquiring their technology with her.

Ch. 108Conjecture on Laputa's Destruction

Mu En connected the Fallingstar Beast to Laputa’s destruction and decided to secure the sky castle while accelerating his plans in Valley Town. As Pazu rallied the townspeople and Dola went to retrieve the ornithopter blueprints, Mu En sensed a peculiar stone near his roots.

  • Mu En conjectured that Fallingstar Beasts had attacked ancient Laputa for its Volucite, though he admitted he lacked proof and feared more beasts might lie beneath the mines.
  • Mu En sent Pazu a vision of a prosperous kingdom guided by the Erdtree, and Pazu resolved to explain the idea to everyone.
  • Mu En lowered Pazu and Sheeta to the ground, where Master Duffi organized a miners’ meeting for Pazu to address the townspeople.
  • Mu En ordered Dola to monitor the military and retrieve the ornithopter blueprints in exchange for a reward, and Dola agreed.
  • Mu En decided to accelerate his plans and considered taking control of the Northern Kingdom, then sensed a peculiar stone near his roots.

Ch. 109Brave Little Bull, Afraid of...

The Fallingstar Beast recovered in its cavern by absorbing Volucite, then attacked a golden root that intruded into its den. Mu En offered to let the beast keep feeding if it became his underling, and the beast discovered that the root it had fought was only a tiny offshoot of an enormous golden root.

  • The Fallingstar Beast healed its wounds with Volucite energy and decided it would defeat the golden stone next time they met.
  • A golden root bored into the cavern, struck the Fallingstar Beast, and began absorbing Volucite.
  • The Fallingstar Beast attacked the root with rock spikes, a gravity sphere, and a rolling charge, snapping it in two.
  • Mu En offered the Fallingstar Beast unlimited Volucite if it became his underling, but the beast refused and stomped on the root.
  • The cavern ceiling collapsed, revealing sunlight and showing the Fallingstar Beast that the root it had fought was only a tiny tip branching from an enormous golden root.

Ch. 110Thirty Years East of the River, Thirty Years West

Mu En subdued the Fallingstar Beast with the Erdtree’s roots and gave it Blessed Dew, binding it to the Golden Order and greatly strengthening it. The beast accepted its new power while secretly hoping it could one day evolve into Astel and break free.

  • The Fallingstar Beast saw the enormous Erdtree roots, realized how thoroughly they overpowered it, and bowed to Mu En.
  • Mu En offered the beast Blessed Dew in exchange for its obedience, and an Erdtree root pinned it down as the blessing entered its body.
  • The Golden Order and the beast’s starry power merged, changing its appearance and greatly increasing its strength while binding it to Mu En.
  • Mu En asked the beast about its arrival and the war seven hundred years earlier, but it knew nothing about either.
  • Mu En left the beast to absorb Volucite, and it resolved to endure its servitude until it could evolve into Astel before resuming its meal.

Ch. 111Muska

At Tidis Fortress, General Muoro and Colonel Muska argued over the failed attempt to capture Sheeta and the air pirates. After learning the Tiger Moth had returned to Valley Town, Muoro suspected Muska was baiting him and decided to bring in a Goliath-class Flying Battleship.

  • Muoro berated his captain for being driven back by miners and criticized an Intelligence Department agent for failing to catch Sheeta.
  • Muska defended his subordinates and reminded Muoro that his own soldiers had been defeated in the mining town.
  • An agent told Muska that Dola's Gang's Tiger Moth had flown to Valley Town and appeared to be staying there.
  • Muska taunted Muoro with the news, then left to prepare for the arrival of the princess.
  • Muoro first ordered the First Armored Battalion to move out, then grew suspicious that Muska was provoking him and postponed the deployment.
  • Muoro ordered reconnaissance planes to watch Dola's Gang and called in a Goliath-class Flying Battleship.

Ch. 112Workers, Doctor, and Priest

Pazu woke to find Doctor Wilson and Duffi eager to ask the Erdtree for help, while the town priest objected to its influence. Pazu directed the men to bring their steam engine materials to Mu En themselves, then sounded the morning call and set off with Sheeta to deliver the blueprints.

  • Pazu woke before Sheeta and found Wilson, Duffi, and the priest arguing outside his home.
  • Wilson and Duffi kicked the priest down the hillside when he called the Erdtree a heresy.
  • Pazu reminded Duffi that the Erdtree had asked only for steam engine blueprints and basic information, and told Wilson its healing power could not be learned through study.
  • Pazu suggested that Duffi and Wilson take their collected blueprints to Mu En and explain their ideas directly.
  • Pazu sounded the morning call as pigeons flew over Valley Town, then left with Sheeta to deliver the blueprints.

Ch. 113Wish

Pazu, Sheeta, and Master Duffi brought Valley Town’s steam-engine books and blueprints to Mu En, who considered what to offer the townspeople in return. Dola arrived with her crew and a vast collection of ornithopter designs, including the papers her husband had guarded before his mysterious death.

  • Pazu and Sheeta noticed that townspeople treated Pazu with unusual awe and gratitude as they accompanied Duffi and Wilson to the Erdtree.
  • Duffi and Wilson delivered the town’s steam-engine books and blueprints to Mu En, who thanked them and asked what reward they wanted.
  • Wilson asked for healing power to help sick workers, while Duffi said the townspeople preferred to build Mu En a church; Mu En considered their requests but had not decided how to respond.
  • Dola’s airship, the Tiger Moth, arrived beneath the Erdtree, and her crew unloaded a large collection of ornithopter blueprints.
  • Dola presented the designs as her late husband’s treasured work and said that someone had targeted him because he kept them, though she did not know how he had died.

Ch. 114Black-tech ornithopter

Mu En studied the ornithopter blueprints and learned the secrets behind the aircraft’s advanced electric drive and artificial-muscle wings. When Dola asked about his purpose, he revealed his plan to build an equal society and overturn the existing world order, and she pledged herself and her sons to help him.

  • Mu En examined the blueprints and recognized the ornithopters’ diesel-electric drive and costly biomimetic wing technology.
  • Mu En realized that reproducing the ornithopters could give the Valley of the Wind powerful aerial forces.
  • Dola asked Mu En about his ultimate purpose, and he shared his vision of a society without nobles, great clans, or monopolistic capital.
  • Dola understood that Mu En intended to reshape the world and chose to join his cause with her sons.

Ch. 115The Air Pirate Granny Turned Young

Mu En transformed Dola into the first Golden Folk while blessing her air pirate crew. Newly young and empowered, Dola warned Duffi and Doctor Wilson that advancing Mu En’s cause would mean challenging the kingdom’s entrenched rulers and church, and urged them to devote themselves fully to the struggle.

  • Mu En blessed the air pirates for their technical drawings and elevated Dola to the rank of Golden Folk.
  • Dola regained her youth, astonishing her eldest son and the others.
  • Dola challenged Duffi’s proposal to build a church, warning that it would be a shallow gesture that attracted parasites and charlatans.
  • Dola warned Doctor Wilson that powerful mine owners and bishops would seize him if he tried to spread healing freely.
  • Dola declared that Mu En’s plans would shatter the existing order and called on everyone to dedicate their lives and loyalty to his cause.

Ch. 116Get Ready and Wait for the Right Moment

Mu En laid out a restrained plan to build support in Valley Town, assigning Dola and Pazu to recruit young people as future apostles. Dola then began selecting spies from the captured soldiers, offering the prisoners a choice in the name of Mu En's god.

  • Mu En agreed with Dola that he did not need a church or apostles to proclaim miracles, but said his plan to found a nation of the Golden Order would not require a bloody war.
  • Mu En told Duffi to care for Sheeta and Pazu, and promised blessings to the workers who contributed steam technology and mechanical blueprints.
  • Mu En ordered Dola and Pazu to hold a lecture for young people interested in changing their lives, while the air pirates patrolled Valley Town and monitored Mouro's radio communications.
  • Dola's speech inspired the town's young people, whom Mu En intended to call upon as apostles when needed.
  • Dola went to the prisoners at the abandoned factory and told them she had come with a god's will to offer them a choice.

Ch. 117Dola's Eye for People

Dola recruited thirty soldiers as secret followers of the Erdtree by offering them supernatural strength and a chance to escape the army’s unfair conditions. After the Erdtree bound them to their pact with blessings and a terrifying punishment, Mu En learned that the Goliath had set out.

  • Dola demonstrated her strength, magic, and restored youth, then persuaded soldiers to secretly serve the Erdtree, including the private Thomas.
  • Dola selected thirty willing soldiers, and the Erdtree blessed them with supernatural power.
  • Several soldiers tried to escape, but the Erdtree’s pact punished them with a terrifying vision of death and warned them against betrayal or revealing its secrets.
  • The soldiers fell into line under Dola’s orders, and Mu En planned for them to study the Erdtree’s ideals and spread them when the time came.
  • A radio message informed Mu En that the Goliath had set out.

Ch. 118Boss Camping Outside the Newbie Village?

Mu En learned that the Goliath Battleship was heading for Valley Town and ordered an evacuation while preparing to confront it within the range of his roots. As the townspeople took shelter, he wondered whether General Muoro had sent the battleship on an impulsive decision or had learned more about him.

  • Dola confirmed that the Goliath Battleship was approaching and described its formidable weapons and defenses to Mu En.
  • Mu En ordered Valley Town's residents to evacuate to the canyon mines and told Dola's sky pirates to lure the battleship within ten kilometers of town.
  • Dola accepted the orders and organized the evacuation with Duffi and the other town leaders.
  • Pazu and Sheeta insisted on staying with Mu En, and he allowed them to remain as long as they did not act on their own.
  • Mu En wondered why the kingdom had deployed the Goliath and suspected General Muoro might have made the decision impulsively.

Ch. 119Mouro's "Plan"

General Mouro took the Goliath to Railway Valley after spotting a giant golden tree and deciding Dola’s Gang possessed ancient technology. Muska warned that the battleship’s approach could alert them, but Mouro pressed on as Dola’s ornithopters appeared to scout the ship.

  • Mouro deployed the Goliath without consulting Muska, who confronted him on the bridge.
  • Mouro explained that aerial reconnaissance had revealed a giant golden tree near Railway Valley, which he believed was connected to ancient relics and Dola’s Gang.
  • Muska denied hiding any special technology and warned that the Goliath’s approach could let Dola and her people escape with the target.
  • Radar detected three of Dola’s Gang’s ornithopters, and Mouro ordered the Goliath’s guns to aim at them.
  • The ornithopters released colored smoke and disappeared in different directions, while the Tiger Moth remained unspotted.
  • Mouro ordered the Goliath to full speed toward Railway Valley, confident that the treasure of Laputa would be his.

Ch. 120We're Family!

Henri and his brothers carried out Dola’s decoy plan to lure the Goliath toward Valley Town while Dola’s crew refused to abandon her. As Mu En prepared for battle beneath the Erdtree, the Goliath arrived and threatened to destroy the town unless Dola and her accomplices were surrendered.

  • Henri reminded Charles and Louis to harass the Goliath and make it believe they were trying to draw it away from Valley Town, prompting the battleship to head east.
  • Dola estimated that the Goliath would reach them within two hours and left Mu En to continue gathering energy from the mineral vein.
  • Dola ordered her crew to evacuate, but they stayed because they considered her and one another family, so she sent them back to prepare the Tiger Moth for takeoff.
  • Sheeta and Pazu watched the crew stand by Dola and began to see the air pirates as a warm, family-like group.
  • The Goliath emerged from the western clouds and threatened to erase Valley Town unless its residents handed over Dola and her accomplices.

Ch. 121Bow in Reverence, and Your Sins May Be Forgiven

Muska and Mouro pursued Dola’s Tiger Moth toward the enormous golden Erdtree, but the airship entered the tree’s domain and a sacred will addressed everyone aboard. The Goliath’s crew froze as the will warned them to put away their weapons and bow.

  • Muska admitted to himself that he did not know what the giant golden tree beside Valley Town was, while Mouro accused him of hiding information.
  • The Goliath broadcast an ultimatum demanding that Dola and her accomplices be handed over, and its crew spotted the Tiger Moth taking off with the target aboard.
  • Mouro ordered the Goliath to pursue the Tiger Moth despite Muska’s warning not to approach the tree.
  • The Tiger Moth slowed and descended as the Goliath entered the Erdtree’s domain, leading Mouro and the crew to believe their opponents had surrendered.
  • A sacred will descended upon everyone aboard the Goliath, identifying the area as the Erdtree’s Protection and commanding the trespassers to put away their weapons and bow.
