Dark clouds blanketed the night sky, sparse starlight dotted the black canopy, and only a crescent moon cast its glow over the bustling city.
Rows upon rows of towering buildings stretched into the distance, like a forest of steel forged from reinforced concrete. Under the bright moonlight, they resembled some enormous beast lying prone in slumber.
Beneath the silent night sky, Daredevil, once again clad in his red devil suit, crouched low atop a building. His highly developed superhuman senses replaced human eyes as he surveyed the noisy city shrouded in darkness. Countless sound waves of varying lengths vibrated through the air—the honking of cars, the conversations of pedestrians, even the howling of the cold wind—all of it transformed into information he received.
Daredevil turned those complex, trivial fragments of information into clear images within his mind. Half-crouched on the rooftop like a hunter lying in wait, he said in a low voice, "A lot of people... There are at least several hundred inside that building, spread across different floors. The lower levels have the most. The Hand's ninjas are among them too. Their heartbeats are slow, so they're the easiest to identify."
Though blind, Daredevil's unusually keen senses ensured that his movements were not affected in the slightest. He observed the world through another peculiar method.
A burst of static sounded in the earpiece, followed by a deep voice. "The explosives are in place. There are around thirty blast points. If they're triggered at the same time, this building will be like a sandcastle on the beach—boom! One wave will wipe it out completely!"
The Punisher, an expert in explosive assaults, had already secretly infiltrated Midtown Circle Financial and planted his homemade timed bombs. This was his plan. The four of them could not possibly handle The Hand's army
