Sean looked at the eager-faced Hamilton and sneered inwardly. This seemingly enthusiastic Worthington pharmaceutical representative merely wanted him to betray Osborn and eliminate a powerful competitor ahead of time.

On one hand, they were holding private talks with him, hoping to obtain the secret formula for the genetic drug. On the other, they were secretly obstructing Osborn's new drug from reaching the market. If Sean agreed to sell the formula, Worthington could get ALZ-112 approved and launched first. By then, all of Osborn's efforts would have been in vain.

The enthusiasm and compassion of these pharmaceutical companies were nothing more than crocodile tears, a false appearance meant to numb their prey and lower its guard. The moment you showed even the slightest lapse in vigilance, you would be viciously devoured whole!

If they were truly so kindhearted, this country's medical costs would not be so exorbitant. The poor, who could only survive on welfare, could barely even step through a hospital's doors. Expensive drugs and medical services were enough to make them turn away.

"Those shares are jointly held by Dr. Connors and me," Sean corrected him.

Hamilton gave a mysterious smile. He believed he had seen through this lucky young man and said in an insinuating tone, "I've noticed that Dr. Connors rarely makes public appearances. He spends most of his time in the laboratory. Whether it's press conferences or dealing with interviews from reporters, you seem to be the one handling everything."

"Dr. Connors has already passed the golden peak of a scientist's career, while you're young and in your prime, with a far broader future ahead of you..." The representative from the pharmaceutical company was like a Wall Street stockbroker, patiently coaxing his prey step by step into the trap.
