"It looked like a meteor, but its trajectory was completely wrong. That point of light should have had its own power source."
The moment Sean mentioned an anomaly, Reed's eyes lit up. He stared at the projected satellite footage, his brow slightly furrowed.
In the dark, boundless depths of space, a silver streak flashed past at incredible speed. It was so fast that the satellite footage was blurry, making it impossible to identify what it was.
All they could make out was the glowing point streaking through the void, crossing the Earth-Moon defensive perimeter and plunging straight through the atmosphere.
Sean swiped his finger and brought up another, clearer image. It showed a massive crater roughly two hundred meters across, far too neat to have been caused by something falling from the sky.
"Since this unidentified object arrived on Earth, multiple anomalies have occurred around the world. The United Government is actively suppressing the news, claiming they're merely unusual Astronomical Anomalies in order to prevent widespread panic."
Sean's gaze shifted slightly. He had vaguely guessed the true identity of the silver point of light, but he could not yet be certain.
The other party was simply too fast, and its path was unpredictable. Even Skynet could not accurately locate it or capture a clear image.
"Suruga Bay in Japan, the Giza Pyramid in Egypt, Los Angeles, California an hour ago, and even widespread blackouts across the entire western region..."
Through the Skynet-equipped smart terminal, Reed learned of the strange phenomena occurring around the world, his eyes brimming with interest.
The essence of science was exploring mysteries and finding the patterns within them. Mister Fantastic happened to be a fanatical scientist.
