Daily Bugle, editor-in-chief's office.

Boss James's roar pierced the walls and echoed throughout the entire newspaper office. Everyone seemed accustomed to it, carrying on with their work as usual while silently praying for poor Peter. After all, not everyone could endure that harsh boss's wanton abuse.

"Parker, you're fired." Peter, who had just lost his pizza delivery job, seemed especially unlucky today as he received another shocking piece of bad news.

Seeing the rookie photographer's puzzled expression, James clenched a cigar between his teeth and tossed the photos in his hand onto the desk. He sneered, "A dog catching a Frisbee, pigeons in the park, two old men playing chess... Tell me, who wants to see this?!"

"I just wanted to show the warm side of New York..."

"Shut up! When you're so broke you can't even afford a hamburger, when you can't pay rent and your landlord throws you out, then you'll understand that New York is such a fucking warm place!"

James swore without restraint. The only reason he had recruited this rookie intern named Peter Parker in the first place was because Peter could provide the newspaper with photos of Spider-Man.

"I don't pay you to make art. I pay you because Spider-Man only lets you photograph him, but that masked hero swinging between buildings is already outdated. People like that playboy Tony Stark, and those weird Mutants!"

James spoke rapidly. He blew out a cloud of cigar smoke and continued, "Take these disgusting photos away before I puke up last night's dinner!"

Peter silently collected the photos from the desk. This young Spider-Man lived a rather difficult life. He had to keep up with his studies and exams, serve as New York's friendly neighborhood hero, and somehow find time for part-time work to pay his rent
