Ch. 63Choice

Nami told Enel she was leaving to return to her companions, and she defended herself against his lightning with her Clima-Tact. Usopp interrupted Enel’s next attack, but after briefly standing up to him, he and Nami ended the chapter hiding together as Enel attacked.

  • Nami ignored Luo Chen’s warning and told Enel she was leaving to continue her adventure with her companions.
  • Enel sent a lightning beast at Nami, but she blocked it with charged air from her Clima-Tact.
  • Enel overpowered Nami’s defense with a stronger lightning strike and prepared a final attack.
  • Usopp fired a flaming cannonball at Enel to interrupt him and protect Nami.
  • Usopp briefly challenged Enel, then dodged his lightning and asked Nami to save him.
  • Nami and Usopp hid in a corner as Enel fired another bolt at them.

Ch. 64Escape Plan

Usopp and Nami tried to escape Enel aboard the Ark Maxim, but Sanji intervened and took Enel’s attack so they could get away. After Enel left to inspect the ship’s damaged gears, Luo Chen departed to watch the coming battle elsewhere, while Usopp climbed back aboard to rescue Sanji.

  • Usopp urged Nami to escape and tried to distract Enel with a curse, but Enel repeatedly struck him with his Golden Staff.
  • Nami started the Waver and tried to pull Usopp aboard, but Enel pinned him down and prepared a lightning attack.
  • Sanji kicked Usopp onto Nami and took Enel’s attack head-on, letting them fall safely from the ship.
  • Sanji’s interference coincided with Despair stopping its fog and the Ark Maxim rocking, so Enel went to check the ship’s gears.
  • Luo Chen praised Sanji, flew away toward the giant beanstalk, and Usopp climbed back onto the Ark Maxim to rescue Sanji.

Ch. 65Reaching the Top of the Vine

Usopp rescued the unconscious Sanji from the Ark Maxim, and he and Nami regrouped with Robin and the others. Luffy continued up the giant vine to confront Enel, determined to stop him from destroying the Holy Land in the Sky.

  • Usopp found Sanji unconscious aboard the Ark Maxim, carried him away, and left Enel repairing the ship's mechanisms.
  • Usopp and Sanji fell onto the Island Cloud, where Nami rescued Usopp and said Enel had taken the gold and the group needed to escape.
  • Enel repaired the Ark Maxim and declared that the ship would remain aloft while he carried out his punishment of the Holy Land in the Sky.
  • Luffy reassured Aisa that he would stop Enel, then carried the heavy gold ball toward the giant vine as Aisa and Pierre followed.
  • Luffy reached Robin and the others near Shandora, left Aisa and Pierre in Robin's care, and ran up the vine after Enel.
  • Nami arrived with Usopp at Robin's location.

Ch. 66The Destruction Plan Begins

Nami reunited with Robin and the others, then set out after Luffy while the Sky People and Shandia evacuated ahead of Enel’s attack. Enel began destroying the islands with lightning, and Luffy climbed toward him carrying a huge golden ball as he vowed to stop him.

  • Nami found Robin, Usopp, Aisa, and the fallen Zoro, Chopper, and others, then told Robin and Usopp to return everyone to the ship while she went after Luffy.
  • McKinley ordered the Sky People to evacuate Angel Island as the Shandia chief confirmed his people were ready to leave, except for the missing Aisa.
  • Enel repaired the Ark Maxim and unleashed his Mamaragan attack, sending lightning down on the Shandia village, Angel Island, and the Upper Yard.
  • Luffy dragged a gigantic golden ball up the vine toward Enel, survived Enel’s lightning strike by springing back with his rubber body, and shouted for Enel to stop.
  • Enel continued destroying the islands and declared that everything in the sky should be wiped out.

Ch. 67Raigo Descends

Enel destroyed the shrine and continued toward the Golden Bell, while Luffy refused Nami’s attempt to take him away and insisted on stopping Enel. As Nami and Luffy set a plan in motion to reach him, Enel struck down Zoro for trying to cut the vine.

  • Enel destroyed the shrine with lightning and blasted away the vine Luffy planned to climb before kicking Luffy off his ship.
  • Nami arrived on her Waver and tried to evacuate Luffy, but he refused to leave until he stopped Enel and rang the Golden Bell for Chestnut Uncle.
  • Nami agreed to help Luffy reach Enel and sent a message on a giant leaf asking the others to cut the vine to the west.
  • Robin figured out Nami and Luffy’s plan, and Zoro cut one of the vine’s roots while Usopp and the others watched.
  • Enel understood their plan and struck Zoro with lightning, sending his charred body crashing onto the Island Cloud.

Ch. 68Raigo Destroys the World

Wyper learned that Luffy intended to ring the Golden Bell for Mont Blanc Cricket, then helped Usopp bring down the giant vine. Enel destroyed Angel Island and summoned a colossal Raigo to obliterate the Holy Land, while Luffy and Nami rode the Waver toward his Ark Maxim.

  • Wyper challenged Luffy's right to ring the Golden Bell until Robin told him about Mont Blanc Cricket and his ancestor, Mont Blanc Noland.
  • Enel unleashed Raigo and annihilated Angel Island, then ascended aboard the Ark Maxim to the golden structure above the clouds.
  • Luo Chen warned Enel that Luffy would reach him and urged him to prepare for their duel.
  • Enel created a super-sized Raigo to destroy the Holy Land in the Sky.
  • Wyper used Reject to topple the giant vine, allowing Luffy and Nami to ride the Waver toward the Ark Maxim.

Ch. 69Disappear... Raigo

Luffy dispersed Enel’s Raigo and defeated him by sending him crashing into the Golden Bell, whose ringing let the Sky People and Shandia hear the island’s song. After the celebrations, the Straw Hats searched the giant snake for gold while Robin and the Shandia chief shared what they knew; Enel later revived aboard the Ark Maxim and set his sights on Fairy Vearth.

  • Luffy used the gold fused to his hand to redirect Raigo’s current and disperse the enormous thundercloud.
  • Enel transformed into Thunder God and attacked Luffy, but Luffy broke his golden tridents and struck him into the Golden Bell.

Ch. 70The End, Back to the Grand Line!!

Luo Chen spared the weakened Enel and returned to the Straw Hats after the Sky Island war, while Enel sailed toward the moon. As the crew searched for gold and Robin investigated the Golden Bell, she found Gol D. Roger’s message and learned from Gan Fall that he had visited Sky Island.

  • Luo Chen refused to kill the injured Enel, warned him that he would take his head in their next encounter, and flew back to the Going Merry while Enel sailed for the moon.
  • After several days of celebration, Luffy woke the Straw Hats before dawn to search for gold, and they followed him while trying not to wake the Sky People and Shandia.
  • Robin asked the Shandia chief about the Poneglyph, examined the inscription in the Golden Bell Tower, and found that it recorded the location of Poseidon rather than the history she sought.
  • A Sky Person showed Robin writing beside the Poneglyph, and she deciphered Gol D. Roger’s message that he had come there and carried history to another place.
  • Gan Fall told Robin he had met Gol D. Roger over twenty years earlier, and Robin told the chief that his people no longer needed to guard the secrets.

Ch. 71Return to the Blue Sea

  • The Shandia chief thanked Robin for ending their 800-year vigil and offered her the Golden Bell clapper, explaining that the Lord of the Sky could ring the bell.
  • Nami, Luffy, Usopp, Chopper, Sanji, and Zoro waited for Robin, then mistook the Sky People’s pursuit as an attempt to take their treasure.
  • Robin followed the crew back to the Going Merry without revealing that the Sky People had been chasing them to deliver their gift.
  • Conis thanked the crew and used a sky octopus to carry the Going Merry down toward the Blue Sea.

Ch. 72Landing

After the Straw Hats returned from Sky Island, Luo Chen asked Luffy to let him travel aboard their ship to the next destination. Luffy agreed, and Nami set rules for Luo Chen, but his argument with Sanji nearly started a fight.

  • The crew failed to agree on how to divide the Sky Island treasure, so Nami decided they would repair the ship first and split what remained.
  • Luo Chen came out of his cabin and asked the Straw Hats to give him a ride to their next destination.
  • Luffy agreed to let Luo Chen stay aboard after Usopp and Chopper warned him, while Zoro did not object.
  • Nami began listing rules for Luo Chen, and he and Sanji argued until Nami punched them both and threatened to kick them off the ship.

Ch. 73Off Course

Luo Chen explained why he had served Enel and failed to help the Straw Hats, and Nami agreed to forgive him if he followed her rules from then on. The crew then discovered the air octopus was shrinking and their ship would soon fall.

  • Luo Chen agreed to follow Nami’s orders and help keep the crew safe, then joined everyone for Sanji’s dinner.
  • Luo Chen told the crew that he had been enslaved in Birka and joined Enel after Enel helped him take revenge on Birka’s god.
  • Luo Chen explained that Enel had destroyed Birka after being mocked for lacking wings and seeking revenge on the island.
  • Nami accepted Luo Chen’s explanation and forgave him for standing by during the earlier battle, and Luo Chen promised to protect her until they parted ways.
  • The crew rushed outside after hearing Zoro shout, only to find that he had been dreaming.
  • Sanji noticed that the air octopus was shrinking, and the crew realized their ship would soon fall.

Ch. 74The Steel Fortress...G-8

The Going Merry fell from the sky after the sky octopus shrank, then landed in the sea near the Marine G-8 Fortress. The Straw Hats came under fire as fortress commander Jonathan learned that a pirate ship had arrived.

  • Luffy bounced on the sky octopus's head, and he and Sanji nearly fell until Luffy caught the ship's railing and grabbed Sanji.
  • The octopus shrank, sending the Going Merry plunging through the air, and Usopp used Jet Wind Dials to slow its descent.
  • The octopus shrank completely, and the Going Merry crashed into the sea near an unfamiliar Marine fortress.

  • Jonathan, the G-8 Fortress commander, heard the alarm while fishing and headed back to investigate the arriving pirate ship.

Ch. 75Their Separate Encounters

Nami reunited with Luo Chen, who guided her toward her companions after they had entered the Marine fortress. He left her with an Impact Dial and continued toward the fortress’s center to find the officer in charge.

  • Luo Chen left Nami to search for the officer in charge, then sent her an Impact Dial containing one of his attacks before heading deeper into the fortress.

Ch. 76Commander Jonathan

Commander Jonathan heard reports of a supposed ghost ship and realized that the shipwrecked intruders had fallen into the Marine fortress by mistake. He spotted Zoro trying to recover his swords and ordered his men to capture him.

  • Colonel Drake found Jonathan away fishing and reported the shipwrights’ strange accounts of a ghost ship falling from the sky.
  • Jonathan concluded that the intruders had entered the fortress by mistake and recognized Zoro as the Straw Hat Pirates’ second-in-command.
  • Nami met two men asking for directions, sent them down a false route, and disguised herself as a low-ranking Marine.
  • Nami struck Zoro with a broom, took his swords, and threw them outside so he would be distracted while she searched for their companions.
  • Zoro accidentally dropped his swords while reaching for them, jumped down to retrieve them, and Jonathan ordered his men to apprehend him.

Ch. 77A Chef's Conviction

Zoro surrendered to Jonathan's Marines after retrieving his swords, while Luo Chen made his way toward Jonathan's office. Sanji and Luffy were mistaken for visiting cooks, and Sanji won a cooking contest by turning leftover ingredients into meatballs for the soldiers.

  • Zoro retrieved his swords from the sea and surrendered when Jonathan's Marines surrounded him.
  • Luo Chen tricked a patrolling Marine into giving him directions, then knocked him unconscious when he realized Luo Chen was an intruder.
  • Hungry Luffy followed the smell of meat into the Marine kitchen, with Sanji close behind.
  • Jessica mistook Sanji and Luffy for visiting cooks and challenged them to prepare food for the soldiers.
  • Sanji used leftover fish parts and innards to make meatballs, which the soldiers eagerly ate.
  • The cooks admitted defeat and said they had disgraced their uniforms by overlooking the basic ingredients.

Ch. 78First Meeting with Jonathan

Luo Chen visited Vice Admiral Jonathan at G-8 and asked about Rear Admiral Hogg, whom he had encountered on Sky Island. He revealed that Hogg died fighting Enel and explained that he had promised to care for Hogg’s younger sister.

Ch. 80Clash

Sanji helped prepare a meal for Jessica’s husband, Vice Admiral Jonathan, while Luffy delivered it and ate most of the meatballs. After Jonathan revealed that Zoro had been captured and challenged Luffy, Sanji pulled Luffy away before they could fight.

  • Sanji finished a meatball dish for Jonathan after Jessica requested it, then learned Jonathan was the commander of Navarone.
  • Luffy delivered the dish to Jonathan and secretly ate the meatballs while Jonathan tried to question him.
  • Jonathan deduced that the Straw Hat Pirates had defeated Crocodile and asked Luffy why they had come to the fortress.
  • Jonathan told Luffy that Zoro had been captured, and Luffy prepared to fight so he could rescue him.
  • Sanji kicked open the door, grabbed Luffy, and ran with him toward the dining hall.

  • Luo Chen flew over Navarone and studied the fortress while wondering why Jonathan had not personally stopped Luffy.
  • Usopp visited the Going Merry in disguise and learned from a shipwright that the ship had been repaired and well cared for.
  • Colonel Drake accused Usopp of being a spy, but a shipwright intervened, so Drake ordered his men to take Usopp to the commander.

Ch. 82Two Shepherds
