On the ice, the battlefield was invisibly divided into two parts.
The Emperor and the Navy clashed in a fierce battle on the icy plains, with the aftershocks of their earth-shattering attacks constantly reverberating, while the pirates continued their petty squabbles without pause.
On the edge of Onigashima, the battle between the pirate fleet and the Beasts Pirates was equally fierce, with shouts of battle and the sound of cannon fire intertwined.
The Pluton Battleship sat silently at the edge of the cliff, the Ancient Script on its black hull gleaming eerily in the sunlight.
It was as if they were coldly observing this chaotic battle that had erupted over its capture.
While Aokiji's frozen sea trapped the ships of the Totto Land fleet, it also provided the pirates with a battlefield to traverse.
The Flying Pirates ' floating rock hovered above the ice, and the combatants jumped off the rock, landing on the ice and rushing towards Onigashima.
The ships of the Totto Land Fleet were frozen in the ice and unable to move, but all the combatants disembarked and charged towards Onigashima across the ice.
The two groups of pirates numbered over ten thousand, densely covering the ice surface, their battle cries deafening.
The weapons gleamed coldly in the sunlight, and footsteps echoed loudly on the ice.
Their only goal was the Pluton Battleship.
At the edge of the cliffs on Onigashima, the Beasts Pirates ' defensive positions have been set up.
Queen's Gatling gun array was positioned on either side of Pluton, its dark muzzles aimed at the pirate horde on the ice.
The Gatling guns' feeding systems had been improved by Queen; the ammunition belts gleamed with a brassy sheen in the sunlight, and the barrels underwent special cooling treatment, allowing them to fire continuously for longer periods.
Queen stood in the center of the turret, his obese body squeezed behind the turret control panel, an unlit cigar dangling from his mouth.
He squinted at the enemies surging across the ice, and grinned.
"Quite a few have arrived. Perfect, I haven't tested these new cannons in actual combat yet!"
Jack stood at the forefront of the defensive line, carrying the giant iron bar, which had been modified into a pair of scythes, on his shoulders.
Behind him was the Numbers Unit, each soldier a core Beasts Pirates, now arranged in a neat attack formation, awaiting the enemy's first wave of assault.
The Tobiroppo took their positions.
Sasaki and Black Maria guarded the port side of the Pluton, Ulti and Page One guarded the starboard side, and Who's-Who guarded the stern alone.
Each person's position was carefully calculated to ensure that there were no blind spots in the defense on any side of Pluton.
"Fire!" Queen commanded.
Gatling guns fired in unison.
The firelight illuminated the entire ice surface, and a dense hail of bullets rained down on the pirates charging at the front.
Bullets struck the ice, sending up shards of ice; they hit people, causing blood to splatter.
The first few dozen pirates were instantly swept down, while the pirates behind them were forced to lie on the ground, too afraid to raise their heads.
"Don't stop! Charge forward!"
"The Flying Pirates ' Fish-Man executive roared."
With a wave of his hands, jellyfish tentacles extended from his palms, weaving a defensive net in the air that blocked some of the bullets.
The pirates behind him used this cover to accelerate their charge.
But no matter how fast they are, they can't outrun Jin.
Ember hovered above Pluton, its black Pteranodon wings fully extended, flames burning silently along the edges.
His sunglasses reflected the firelight of the battlefield below, and his eyes calmly swept across the entire battlefield.
He saw several core members of the Flying Pirates organizing a charge, and he also saw the main force of the Totto Land Fleet bypassing the ships frozen on the ice and flanking them from the side.
In the Flying Pirates,
A Fish-Man controlling a jellyfish is using his tentacles to block bullets.
A swordsman with bladed arms is charging forward at high speed, while a burly fat man is swinging a giant hammer to smash obstacles on the ice.
On the Totto Land fleet's side, Katakuri stood on the ice directing operations, while Smoothie and Cracker each led a team to flank from the left and right.
Perospero transported troops from the rear using candy slides.
A massive wave of combatants surged forward, far exceeding the defensive forces of the Beasts Pirates.
Jin slowly drew the long sword from his waist.
The flames enveloping the blade and the flames on the wings share the same origin; both are innate abilities of the Lunarians.
Flames danced on the blade, distorting the surrounding air.
"Protect Pluton."
King's voice wasn't loud, but it clearly reached the ears of every member of the Beasts Pirates.
"We cannot let a single one escape."
As soon as he finished speaking, Jin's figure swooped down from the sky.
He was so fast that the naked eye could only see a blurry black shadow.
Before the pirates on the ice could react, King had already landed right in the center of the Flying Pirates ' formation.
The moment he landed, his longsword swept out horizontally—a fiery slash exploded in a ring, the blazing blade of fire simultaneously sending more than ten pirates flying.
Flames swept across the ice, instantly melting the surface and creating a ring of boiling water. The pirate, sent flying, screamed and rolled onto the ice in the distance.
The Fish-Man officers charged forward.
He thrust out with both hands, and dozens of jellyfish tentacles shot out from his palms, wrapping around Jin's arms and legs from all directions.
The tentacles are covered with fine, venomous barbs; once they entangle a target, they can inject a paralyzing toxin.
Jin didn't even glance at him.
With a backhand slash, a fiery blade of light cleaved down, severing all the jellyfish tentacles.
The charred marks at the severed end of the tentacle were clearly visible, and the Fish-Man cadre screamed as he retracted the severed limb.
But Jhin's attack wasn't over yet; the remaining force of his blade still blasted the Fish-Man executive away.
He slid for dozens of meters on the ice before stopping, a deep, charred knife wound on his chest revealing the bone.
The swordsman launched a sneak attack from the side.
His arms themselves are blades, and after Armament Haki Hardening, their sharpness is comparable to that of Great Grade Sword.
Taking advantage of the moment when Jhin was dealing with the Fish-Man officers, he crossed his arms and slashed at Jhin's neck with a ruthless and cunning angle.
Jin turned his head to avoid it, making a very small movement.
The blade grazed his neck, severing a few stray strands of hair.
Jhin reached out with his left hand and grabbed the Blademaster's forearm with such force that the Blademaster's arm bone creaked.
With a swift thrust of his right hand, the longsword pierced the swordsman's shoulder, pinning him to the ice.
Flames spread from the blade to the wound, and the swordsman let out a shrill scream.
The fat cadre roared and swung his hammer.
The giant hammer was as tall as a person, and its head was covered with sharp spikes. The wind pressure from its impact blew away the surrounding ice shards.
Jhin did not dodge.
He spread his wings, and a fiery shockwave exploded from them, meeting the fat man's giant hammer head-on.
The moment the flames collided with the hammer, the fat man's giant hammer turned red-hot, and the handle burned so much that smoke billowed from his hands.
The residual force of the shockwave blasted him away, sending him crashing heavily onto the ice. The ice was blasted into a large crater, with cracks spreading outwards for more than ten meters from the edge of the crater.
In just a few breaths, all of the core members of the Flying Pirates fell to the ground.
Their prized Devil Fruit abilities and combat skills couldn't even withstand a single move from King.
The ordinary combatants around them were so frightened by this scene that they retreated in fear.
Some people dropped their weapons and didn't dare to bend down to pick them up; others turned to run, but their legs were shaking so badly they wouldn't obey them.
They were all veteran pirates who had roamed the New World and had seen many powerful figures.
But this is the first time I've encountered someone like Jhin who can mow down enemies like this right from the start.
