Ch. 121Homecoming and Reunion

Tsubasa returned from the Land of Water with Kaguya Yuki Hime, brought her into his family, and reunited with his relatives in Konoha. After learning Tian Uguisu might have been rescued by Madara Uchiha, he heard about Akira Senju’s proposal to have the village raise Senju orphans and divide their family property.

  • Tsubasa delivered Minazuki Kiyoshi’s alliance agreement to Uzumaki Kaito, and Yueqing and Uzumaki Kaito welcomed Kaguya Yuki Hime into their family.
  • Tsubasa flew to Konoha with Yueqing and Kaguya Yuki Hime, reunited with his family, and watched In Senju name the girl Tian Yukihime and accept her as the sixth branch’s daughter-in-law.
  • Tian Mai arrived, introduced herself to Tsubasa, and joined the family meal with his relatives and fiancées.
  • Gi Senju privately asked Tsubasa about Tian Uguisu, and he said he suspected Madara Uchiha had rescued her and asked Gi Senju to keep it secret.
  • Senju Tenpuku told Tsubasa that Akira Senju had proposed entrusting Senju orphans to the village and splitting their family property between the clan and the village, then asked what Tsubasa thought.

Ch. 122Falling Out with the F4

Tsubasa opposed Akira Senju’s decision to have Konoha raise Senju orphans and demanded that the Ten Family hold their property. After the Konoha leaders refused and Danzo attacked him, Tsubasa killed Danzo with a single punch and announced he would call a clan meeting to remove the leaders from power.

  • At a Senju clan meeting, Tsubasa challenged Akira Senju’s policy for the orphans, but Akira agreed to let the Ten Family raise some children and hold the orphans’ property.
  • Tsubasa confronted Hiruzen Sarutobi, Danzo, Homura, and Koharu at the Hokage building and demanded the property be handed over to the Ten Family.
  • Danzo ordered the guards to seize Tsubasa, but Akira stepped between them and stopped the Anbu.
  • Tsubasa threatened to remove Konoha’s leaders at a meeting the next day, then punched Danzo with compressed air and killed him.
  • Hiruzen stopped Koharu from sending Anbu after Tsubasa and said they should consult the clans, while Akira vowed to protect Tsubasa and Hiruzen promised to spare his life.

Ch. 123Konoha F4 Step Down

Tsubasa summoned the First and Second Hokage as witnesses and argued that Hiruzen Sarutobi and the other leaders should be removed for their failures, corruption, and weakness. Tobirama Senju accepted Tsubasa’s case, and Tsubasa gave the clans three days to leave Konoha or submit to his leadership before his Hokage inauguration.

  • Tsubasa secured Mito Uzumaki’s, Uchiha Tomioki’s, and Chisuke Hyuga’s support for removing Hiruzen Sarutobi and the other leaders.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi moved to sentence Tsubasa to life imprisonment, but Tsubasa arrived and Mito announced the meeting’s true agenda.
  • Tsubasa used Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu to summon Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju, then declared his intention to become Hokage.
  • Tsubasa gave Tobirama three reasons to remove Hiruzen: the leaders’ wartime record, their seizure of Senju orphans’ property, and Tsubasa’s superior strength; Tobirama could not refute his arguments.
  • When Sasuke Sarutobi and others objected, Tsubasa threatened anyone who resisted and offered the clans three days to leave Konoha or obey him before his Hokage ceremony.

Ch. 124Rebirth Plan

Tsubasa defended his plan to give Konoha’s clans three days to decide whether to stay, then revealed Madara’s role in the recent war and offered Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju a chance to be reborn. Hashirama agreed to become Tsubasa’s child, and the three began planning whom to bring back.

  • Sasuke Sarutobi stormed out of the meeting, the Shimura clan elder announced his clan would leave Konoha, and the Inuzuka clan head pledged his support to the village.
  • Shikaboshi Nara warned Momiji Yamanaka and Chozan Akimichi that Konoha might lose half its people, while Tsubasa told Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju he would let the clans choose whether to follow him.
  • Tsubasa revealed that Madara Uchiha had killed the First Raikage, First Mizukage, and First Tsuchikage, and said he had killed the First Kazekage before Madara could.
  • Tsubasa explained that he had developed the Soul Transfer Jutsu to reincarnate the dead using his bloodline, and told Hashirama Senju he would be reborn as Tsubasa’s child.
  • Hashirama Senju accepted reincarnation so he could pursue world peace, and he, Tsubasa, and Tobirama Senju began deciding whom to bring back.

Ch. 125The Clans Leave the Village

More than fifty clans and many civilians left Konoha, while several clans chose to stay or returned after reconsidering. With the village nearly empty, Tsubasa planned to revive powerful Senju ancestors and take control of Konoha before Hiruzen Sarutobi’s faction could define its future.

  • The Shimura Clan and more than fifty other clans departed Konoha, and Tsubasa destroyed two clans that tried to loot cities in the Land of Fire.
  • The Aburame, Inuzuka, and Hatake Clans stayed, while the Ino-Shika-Cho Clans pretended to leave before returning; more than twenty other clans followed them back.
  • Many civilians left Konoha, and the Senju Clan flattened empty homes as the Uchiha Clan checked population registers and the Hyuga Clan guarded the borders.
  • A young Branch Family member urged the Hyuga clan head to prioritize rune bows and long-range archery over keeping Gentle Fist techniques secret.
  • Tsubasa told Hashirama Senju and Tobirama that he planned to seal the souls of powerful Senju ancestors and use Soul Transfer Jutsu when he became an adult, so he needed to take control of Konoha first.
  • Hashirama Senju urged Tsubasa to earn trust, Tobirama questioned whether his confidence was arrogance, and the Senju Clan began building a new barrier tower.

Ch. 126Ascending to the Hokage Position

Tsubasa addressed Konoha’s frightened villagers after the major clans left, boasting of his victories and promising to protect the Land of Fire. He laid out ambitious plans to transform the village, winning the crowd’s support as he vowed to lead those who stayed to greatness.

  • Tsubasa declared that no war would reach the Land of Fire while he lived and said he would never welcome back the clans that had left.
  • Tsubasa promised housing, free education, a general hospital, rune technology, cultivation resources, and open access to Konoha’s ninjutsu and secret techniques.
  • Tsubasa drew his sword and proclaimed that Konoha belonged to everyone who had stayed and believed in him, vowing to carve a path to greatness for them.

Ch. 127Nine-Grade Family System

Tsubasa introduced the Nine-Grade Family System to Konoha's thirty-three families, setting out how family size, strength, reputation, connections, and contributions would determine their rank and privileges. The family heads left considering how to meet the standards, while Tsubasa expected the system to strengthen Konoha through population growth and cultivation.

  • Tsubasa summoned the thirty-three family heads and announced that Konoha would be divided into an inner village and an outer village, with the families who stayed earning entry to the inner village.
  • Tsubasa explained that inner-village families would be ranked from ninth grade to first grade, with an immortal grade above them, based on size, experts, reputation, connections, and contributions.
  • Tsubasa detailed the housing, medical, educational, cultivation, weapon, political, industrial, and military benefits attached to each family grade.
  • Tsubasa declared that immortal-grade families would need ten Sage Realm experts or a High Immortal to protect the Shinobi World.
  • The family heads reacted with determination or concern as they assessed their prospects, and Tsubasa said family grades would be reviewed every twenty years.
  • Tsubasa urged the families to have more children and encourage their ninjas to cultivate, so their families could rise in rank and Konoha could grow stronger.

Ch. 128New Ninja Ranks

Tsubasa announced a ten-rank system for Konoha ninja based on practical strength tests and created a Ninja Evaluation Building to certify ranks below Kage Level. The clan heads pledged to support him, and Konoha’s ninja gathered outside the new building, eager to see it.

  • Tsubasa introduced ten ninja ranks and explained that evaluations would test speed, power, agility, chakra control, and mastered techniques rather than mission records.
  • Tsubasa defined the standards for Kage Level, Super Kage Level, and Sage Level, identifying himself as one of only two Sage-level fighters in the Shinobi World.
  • Tsubasa formed a ten-story Ninja Evaluation Building beside the Hokage building and invited the clan heads to test its barriers.
  • Shikaboshi Nara, Chozan Akimichi, and Momiji Yamanaka pledged the Ino-Shika-Cho clans’ loyalty, and the other clan heads followed.

Ch. 129Ninja Evaluation Building

Tsubasa showed the clan heads Konoha’s ten-floor ninja evaluation facility, where rune-based tests measured skills ranging from speed and Chakra control to combat and battlefield command. The clan heads struggled to meet the highest standards, and none passed the final leadership simulation.

  • The clan heads tested their speed and endurance across twelve simulated terrain zones, where only six reached Kage Level speed.
  • They tried the third-floor dodging and attack tests, but only the Uchiha Clan Head and Hyuga Clan Head perfectly cleared the Kage Level challenge.
  • The clan heads all measured at Kage Level for Chakra reserves, but none met the Kage Level Chakra-control standard.
  • They tested Genjutsu, Genjutsu resistance, Chakra nature, weapons, individual combat, and team battles, with few achieving Kage Level results.
  • The clan heads faced Tsubasa’s runic mirror image in the final war-game simulation, but none passed, including Shikaboshi Nara.
  • At sunset, Tsubasa watched ninja arriving to take the evaluations as the building’s runes illuminated the structure.

  • Tsubasa outlined elementary and middle school curricula, requiring middle school graduates to reach Elite Genin level and introducing lessons in combat, tactics, and summoning.
  • Tsubasa said advanced ninja school would teach clan techniques, specialist professions, and Ninjutsu, while requiring Elite Chunin strength and a secondary skill to graduate.
  • Tsubasa established Kage Academy for Jonin-level students, promising to teach forbidden techniques and Senjutsu, and required Kage Level strength and three S-rank missions to graduate; Super Kage graduates could run for Hokage.
  • Tsubasa assigned Chunin, Jonin, and Kage Level teachers to the schools and declared that Kage School graduates would be required for Konoha’s top leadership.
  • After the meeting, Shikaboshi Nara, Chozan Akimichi, and Momiji Yamanaka resolved to strengthen their clans by having more children, while the Inuzuka Clan head hurried home to develop training with other ninja beasts.

  • The results appointed Senju Tenpuku, Mito Uzumaki, Masataka Hatake, Uchiha Chiri, and Hyuga Tensei as commanders of Konoha’s five legions.
  • The board also announced the heads and deputy heads of seven civilian departments.
  • The newly appointed commanders and deputies resolved to build strong forces and protect the village and the Land of Fire.

Ch. 133Responding to the Armies of the Nations

Tsubasa briefed the daimyo and clan heads on Konoha’s reconstruction, new rat summons, and the arrival of the Uzumaki Clan before addressing the threat of several nations’ armies. He outlined Konoha’s defensive deployments and demanded a firm diplomatic stance, promising to destroy any nation that invaded the Land of Fire.

  • Residents recalled the war’s destruction and losses, and Senju Clan elders fell silent when one auntie feared another war might take her grandson Orochimaru.

Ch. 135Securing the Road

Tsubasa saw how Konoha’s prosperity had changed village life and reconsidered his harsh refusal to accept returning refugees. At the Land of Rice Fields’ border, Mito Uzumaki forced Sasuke Sarutobi’s army to retreat, and Sasuke chose to return home rather than risk his soldiers’ lives.

  • Tsubasa received gifts from grateful villagers and, while looking over Konoha in the snow, remembered the refugees he had turned away and questioned his lack of kindness.

  • A decided to write Senju Tenpuku a letter proposing a rematch without Lightning Release or Tenpuku’s sword.

Ch. 137The Sand Shinobi Retreat

Masataka Hatake and the White Tiger Army used sabotage and guerrilla attacks to wear down Shamon’s invading Sand forces in the Land of Rain. Shamon’s army retreated to the Land of Wind border in defeat, but he vowed that Sunagakure would eventually retaliate against Konoha.

  • Shamon led thirty thousand Sand shinobi through the Land of Rain, burning villages and seizing supplies while dismissing Konoha’s forces.
  • Masataka Hatake and three hundred White Tiger Army elites ambushed a Sand grain convoy and destroyed its cargo, then harried the Sand army with repeated stealth attacks.

Ch. 139The New God of Shinobi

Tsubasa forced the leaders of the other great villages and Hiruzen Sarutobi to surrender techniques and pay reparations, establishing himself as the Shinobi world's supreme power. After former Konoha villagers begged to return, he allowed them back only on the condition that they work in the mines for ten years, then reflected on protecting the people who could live freely behind him.
