The Gryphon fleet descended, and all the students leaped down from their backs, looking around at this mountain stream that, aside from being a little quiet and secluded, had no other distinguishing features.
"Where is this? Could the Inner Courtyard be nearby?"
"Are you stupid? Didn't the Vice Dean already say he would send us to a place, and then someone would come receive us and take us into the Inner Courtyard? This is obviously the handoff point."
The students whispered among themselves.
Hu Gan, who had descended from the sky, swept a glance over this impatient bunch of students, the smile on his face looking slightly odd.
Without saying much, under everyone's gaze, Hu Gan took a dozen or so steps forward, then stopped. With a wave of his hand, a powerful surge of energy suddenly shot out from his palm, striking toward the space before him.
Under the impact of this energy, that calm, water-like space abruptly rippled with wave after wave of disturbance.
These ripples surged rapidly, and finally, a silver gate fully seventy or eighty feet tall appeared out of thin air!
At the sight, quite a few students were startled. They had not expected that such a seemingly ordinary place would actually conceal something mysterious.
With a crisp sound, the silver gate slowly opened. The scene beyond the gate was, as always, dense forest, seemingly no different from the thick woods they had seen along the road here.
"You three elders have worked hard on the way. Take the Gryphons back to the Outer Academy first. All students, follow me."
After giving an instruction to the three escorting elders, Hu Gan waved his hand and was the first to walk into the silver gate.
