Green sewage cascaded down the golden sand dunes like a waterfall.
"Boom!"
Mud and sand splashed everywhere. Tons of toxic water slammed onto the sand dune. The dry sand grains were instantly soaked by the high temperature and strong acid.
Acrid, acidic white smoke billowed up.
Immediately afterwards, thick yellow and black smoke roared out from the ten-meter-wide black hole, like a runaway dragon.
Thick smoke rolled down the sand dunes.
The azure sky above Sunagakure was instantly swallowed up by more than half. The sun disappeared. The village looked as if a black pot had been placed over its head. The sky darkened to a yellowish hue.
The wind, carrying poisonous fumes, poured into the village's main road.
A vendor selling roasted lizards was fanning the fire with a palm-leaf fan. Yellow smoke drifted over and entered his nostrils.
The palm-leaf fan in the vendor's hand fell into the charcoal brazier.
He clutched his neck with both hands, his eyes bulging out.
"Cough... cough!"
He knelt on the yellow sand, coughing violently. He spat a mouthful of thick phlegm mixed with black blood onto the sand, where tiny white bubbles rose.
The canvas canopy of the noodle stall next door was blown over by the wind.
The noodle-eating customer threw down his chopsticks and ran away, knocking over the scalding hot soup pot. Hot soup spilled all over the floor, but no one cared about being burned.
The woman grabbed the child's arm and scrambled into the mud-brick house.
The wooden door slammed shut with a loud bang.
The street was in complete chaos. Cries, coughs, and the sound of heavy objects falling to the ground were all mixed together.
The dome of the Kazekage Building.
The Third Kazekage stood on the edge.
Dust mixed with toxic fumes blew over and landed on his blue Kazekage hat.
He didn't dodge; his right hand gripped the stone railing on the outside of the dome tightly.
The knuckles of my fingers are white. The veins on the back of my hands are bulging.
"Crack."
He pried a fist-sized stone carving off his fingertips. Stone dust dripped down between his fingers.
Beside her, Chiyo was bent over.
She covered her mouth and nose tightly with her sleeve, her old face turning purple from the effort.
"Cough cough..."
Chiyo coughed violently, her body trembling like a leaf. She leaned on her cane to steady herself.
"Those mad dogs from Konoha."
Chiyo lowered her sleeve and spat out a mouthful of saliva tinged with blood.
Spit landed on the stone slab.
"What kind of poison is this? It doesn't seem to be made by Ninjutsu." She squinted her old eyes, looking at the thick smoke that blotted out the sky.
"Scrap."
The Third Kazekage tossed aside the rock in his hand. The rock crashed to the ground and broke in two.
"That bastard Shu Shiraishi. He runs a factory in Konoha and dumps all his toxic waste and exhaust fumes into our area."
Kazekage gritted his teeth, his jaw muscles hardening like two stones.
" Land of Wind as his chamber pot."
He ripped off his Kazekage Hat and tossed it to the guard behind him.
The white Kazekage robe fluttered in the poisonous wind.
"We can't let this stuff keep spraying."
Kazekage clasped his hands together in front of his chest.
Chakra surged violently within his body, causing the ground to tremble slightly.
" Magnet Release: Iron Sand Wings!"
With a low growl, black Iron Sand gushed forth from the scroll beneath his robe.
Iron Sand converged in mid-air. The particles rubbed together, producing a teeth-grinding "shh-shh" sound.
In the blink of an eye, two black metal wings, each three meters wide, took shape behind him.
Its wings flapped suddenly.
The airflow pressed down. Kazekage's feet left the ground, and he rose into the air like a black cannonball.
A giant sewage pipe shooting straight into the air.
The higher it flew, the denser the thick, yellowish-black smoke became.
The taste was so pungent it left a sweet aftertaste in your throat.
Kazekage held her breath. Her eyes were red from the acidic mist, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.
He forced back the stinging sensation and raised his right hand to wipe his face.
Their gaze pierced through the toxic smoke and locked onto the black opening that jutted out diagonally from the sand dune.
The pipe was still spraying green liquid out of the pipe.
The water column was seven or eight meters thick. The sound of it crashing down was like thunder.
"Block it!"
Kazekage's hands moved swiftly, Hand Seals.
Printing method changes.
In several corners of Sunagakure below, the Iron Sand stored up year-round was drawn to life.
Black sand pillars shot into the sky.
Under Kazekage's control, a massive amount of Iron Sand was compressed and piled up wildly in front of the pipe opening.
Soon, a solid black iron plate, over twenty meters in diameter and two feet thick, was suspended in mid-air.
The heavy iron plate blocked out half the sky.
"Go!"
Kazekage thrust his arms forward with a sudden movement.
The massive Iron Sand, accompanied by a whistling sound, slammed into the black hole spewing water.
"Clang!"
A deafening roar.
The iron plate was pressed tightly against the pipe opening.
The gushing green sewage was forcibly contained inside the pipes.
The water struck the iron plate, producing a dull echo. The enormous impact even made the Iron Sand wings on Kazekage's back shake.
Kazekage breathed a sigh of relief.
Sweat beads slid down his cheeks and into his neck.
He was just about to reinforce the barrier.
"Hiss--"
A piercing corrosive sound suddenly exploded in mid-air.
Kazekage looked closely.
A thick plume of yellowish-white toxic smoke instantly rose from the surface of that incredibly Iron Sand.
The black iron plate was turning red and bubbling at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The Konoha Armory and Chemical Plant discharge extremely high-concentration industrial waste acid without any treatment.
It contains heavy metals and potent chemicals catalyzed by Tailed Beast Chakra.
This is something that ordinary Chakra- condensed Iron Sand cannot withstand.
Just five seconds.
In the center of the two-foot-thick Iron Sand, a pit the size of a washbasin was dissolved by strong acid.
The pit rapidly expanded and thinned.
"Click."
The iron plate could not withstand the internal water pressure and cracked directly.
"Bang!"
The green acid water, like a high-pressure water gun, forcefully broke through the Iron Sand defenses.
Molten iron mixed with green poison gushed down like a waterfall.
The once-proud Magnet Release: Iron Sand were reduced to pools of red and green slag, which fell onto the sand dunes below.
The sand was scalded, leaving hundreds of smoking black holes.
Acid water splashed everywhere.
A few drops of green sap splashed onto the Iron Sand wing on the left side of the Kazekage.
Hiss!
The black metallic feathers were instantly melted through, releasing acrid white smoke.
Kazekage felt a piece of the Chakra connection to his left wing being forcibly severed.
The balance was instantly shattered.
Kazekage's body tilted to the side, and he fell headfirst into the acidic waterfall below.
The wind whistled in my ears.
He bit his tongue hard; the taste of blood filled his mouth.
He forcefully extracted Chakra, flapping his right wing desperately to sever the corroded Iron Sand on his left.
Barely managing to steady himself less than a meter from the acidic water.
He tumbled awkwardly in mid-air.
Not daring to linger any longer, it flapped its wings and quickly retreated dozens of meters.
The defenses completely collapsed.
With the drain pipe no longer obstructed, the spraying became even more vigorous.
Green waters flowed freely. Toxic smoke once again shrouded the sky.
Kazekage was panting heavily.
He removed his wings and landed heavily on the dome of the Kazekage Building.
He landed unsteadily, staggered back half a step, and bumped into the stone railing.
A sudden ache shot through my lower back.
He glanced down.
The edge of the pure white Kazekage robe was scorched with three black holes by the acid mist.
The soles of the cloth shoes, stained with some poison, were hissing and emitting white steam. The rubber on the soles had softened.
Chiyo quickly stepped forward to help him up.
"Can't stop it?" Chiyo's voice trembled.
Kazekage flung Chiyo's hand away.
My chest heaved violently. My lungs felt like they were being pulled by a broken bellows.
He stared at the pipe still spewing poison. Humiliation and anger consumed his reason.
He, a respected figure in the entire village, couldn't even clog a simple sewer pipe.
If this gets out, Sunagakure will be utterly disgraced.
This is outrageous!
Kazekage suddenly turned around and roared at Chiyo.
Spit sprayed Chiyo's face.
"Bring out all the flying puppets from the warehouse!"
The veins on his neck throbbed, and his face was flushed red.
"Go get the Explosive Tag! Tie Explosive Tag all to the golems!"
Kazekage pointed to the black hole in the distance.
"Get the puppet troops airborne! Fly them through this pipe!"
"Follow the pipes! Find the source of Konoha! Blow up Shu Shiraishi's factory!"
Chiyo gripped her cane tightly.
She didn't argue. If this toxic smoke continued to billow for another half a day, the village would become a ghost town.
She turned around, ready to give the order.
Before he could finish speaking...
The thick yellow-black smoke above Sunagakure suddenly began to churn violently.
It looked like some enormous thing was churning in the clouds.
A violent downdraft from the turbines crashed down from high above.
It forcefully tore a huge gash through the thick layer of toxic smoke.
Sunlight streamed down through the crack, casting a sliver of light.
"Boom--!"
A deafening sonic boom exploded overhead without warning.
It was ten times louder than the sound of water spraying from the pipe earlier.
The glass windows of the dome of the Kazekage Building shattered with a crash, shards of glass littering the ground.
Kazekage and Chiyo both looked up at the same time.
Several silver-white streamlined machine silhouettes.
Trailing a blinding blue flame.
It came hurtling through the air with a sharp metallic whistling sound!
