Before the sun had risen, Claire pushed open her door and stepped outside, holding a strange Black Seed in her hand, her brows slightly furrowed.
She had been so busy these past few days that she had lost track of time. When she finally came to her senses, Claire realized her Trade Points had piled up again. Since she could use Trade Points to add friends from the friend list anyway, she did not bother saving them and went straight into trading.
This Black Seed was what she had obtained from a trade. She had paid a full two Basic Healing Potions for it—six Gold Coins.
But this was the first time she had encountered such a terrible trading partner: a little girl. After asking about the girl's world, Claire discovered it was a plane dedicated to growing plants, with absolutely nothing she needed. If they had something like hybrid rice, a high-yield staple crop, that would have been acceptable, but after asking around, she found they had never even heard of it.
With the mindset of, If I leave empty-handed... pfft! If I go out and do not pick up money, it is the same as losing it, Claire still went through with the trade. This Black Seed was what she got, but no matter how she examined it, she could not spot anything unusual about it.
"It seems I will not always get what I want from every trade." Claire was already tempering her expectations so she would not be too disappointed during future trades.
Still, it might prove useful somehow. Claire planned to give the seed to Rona and have her grow it, just to see whether there was anything special about it.
That little girl had treasured this Black Seed dearly. If Claire had not been
