The attack missed, and the Wolf King threw back its head and howled.

"Awoo!"

The rest of the wolves that had not yet been trapped immediately understood. They raised their heads and began gathering power, preparing Wind Blade magic.

Claire's eyes flickered as she swept her gaze over the armored knights. She flicked a Magic Scroll from her Spatial Ring into Rona's hands.

There was no time for a Mental Connection now. She could only point at the knights and shout, "There's a level-two defensive spell on it! Go help them!"

Although Rona did not understand the words, she grasped Claire's meaning. She grabbed the Magic Scroll, lightly tapped the ground with her toes, and leaped through the trees. Before the wolves could release their Wind Blade magic, she had reached them.

Rona tore open the scroll. A flash of golden light passed, and a transparent golden wall appeared before the wolves.

Wind Blades shot out one after another, crashing against it with repeated explosive booms, yet the golden shield remained standing.

Seeing this, the Wolf King glared viciously at Claire and let out an unwilling roar. "Roar!"

"Die, you mutt!" Hant charged in from the side and rammed the Wolf King's duplicate several meters away.

The Wolf King staggered a few steps before quickly steadying itself. Only then did it turn its attention away and begin fighting Hant.

Though Hant was at the same level as a Silver Knight, humans were always at a disadvantage against magical beasts. Generally, it took three to five people to reliably defeat one, so Hant soon fell into a disadvantage and could only keep blocking with his greatsword.
