Claire shook the finished sheet of paper, then handed it to Nick. "Can you understand it?"

Nick took the sheet and examined it carefully. He had studied at Nafu City's Night School, and he had learned both reading and arithmetic properly, so he did not find Claire's writing too difficult to understand.

After about half a minute, he nodded at Claire. "My Lady, I think I understand it."

"Good!" Claire patted him on the shoulder, then pointed at the puzzled blacksmiths behind her. "Then explain to them what revenue sharing is, and how we'll sell the statues after purchasing them."

At Claire's words, the blacksmiths immediately turned their eyes toward Nick like a group of children overflowing with curiosity. This involved their money, after all! How could they not care?

"I'll leave it to you!" Claire cast a Flying Spell on herself and shot into the air.

After Claire left, the blacksmiths swarmed around Nick. "Lord Nick! Please explain what revenue sharing means!"

"That's right! The Viscount said she wouldn't pay us directly. What does this revenue sharing mean?"

"Are we not getting any money?" some blacksmiths asked worriedly.

Nick watched Claire's figure gradually shrink in the distance with a bitter smile. So she had dumped this troublesome task on him. However, he quickly pulled himself together. Helping Nakin Town's residents understand the policies handed down from above was one of his duties to begin with. Besides, the Viscount had personally entrusted this matter to him! He could not disappoint her!

Inside the Steward's Office of Nakin Town, in the room belonging to the town's highest-ranking official, Claire rested her feet on an iron desk. The front legs of her chair were lifted off the ground as she rocked back and forth like she was in a rocking chair.
