According to the ghost mirror's rules, as long as one left an image of oneself inside it, one could revive within the mirror after death.
But Yang Jian's situation was different. He was dead, yet his corpse was controlled by the ghost shadow, preventing him from reviving smoothly.
Being unable to revive within the ghost mirror meant that the ghosts inside it could not escape.
