Yang Jian could be timid in his speeches, but he would never be timid in how he conducted himself. He spoke modestly because it made it less likely for him to offend others and kept him from becoming a target. But if he were timid as a person too, he would only suffer losses and get bullied.
Lin Long had clearly mistaken Yang Jian's modesty for cowardice. He had misjudged the situation, and coupled with his arrogant nature and lack of restraint, he had immediately tried to forcefully buy Yang Jian's ghost candles, even going so far as to threaten him.
After giving it some thought.
The moment one of Lin Long's arms fell from his body, he realized something was wrong.
He almost immediately wanted to use the ghost inside his body to fight back.
He had no reservations. Even if he accidentally killed Yang Jian, it did not matter. Yang Jian had dared to remove one of his arms—he was simply courting death.
A foul stench rapidly emanated from Lin Long's body, the smell of rotting corpses, yet overwhelmingly strong.
"There are differences between people. Do you think there are no differences between Ghost Tamers either?" Yang Jian looked at him coldly.
The next moment.
A tall, headless black figure appeared behind him.
"What?"
He sensed a chill behind him, as if a fierce ghost had appeared at his back and was closing in on him.
Lin Long turned around, and his pupils immediately contracted.
The headless ghost shadow stood eerily behind him like a corpse, silent and motionless, its entire body radiating an uncanny aura.
Before he could do anything, the headless ghost shadow pounced onto him like a shadow and vanished. The ghost shadow had invaded his body.
Lin Long froze in place, unable to move.
