Liu Xiaoyu, who was in an independent communications room handling Yang Jian's calls, heard the commotion outside and curiously walked out.
"What happened? Why did the alarm suddenly go off?" She worked alone and knew nothing about what had just happened.
"A call to Z City caused a supernatural invasion at Headquarters. Some colleagues were killed."
A colleague standing guard nearby lowered his voice. "It has something to do with the incident Yang Jian is currently handling. Aren't you Yang Jian's operator? You seriously don't know anything about this?"
Liu Xiaoyu was something of a celebrity in the communications room because the person she handled was Ghost Eye Yang Jian. The others both envied and resented her.
"His satellite positioning phone is switched off. I can only determine his exact location, but I can't contact him. We've been disconnected for a while now. Captain Zhao said before that Yang Jian was fine, that he had only cut off communications himself because he encountered some special circumstances," Liu Xiaoyu said.
"Looks like Yang Jian had already guarded against this. Otherwise, he wouldn't have taken the initiative to cut off contact." This colleague assumed Yang Jian knew the inside story and had prepared in advance for the strange phone killings.
