After locking the out-of-control Wei Jing in the fourth underground level of the laboratory, Yang Jian did not leave in a hurry.
Through Wang Xiaoming, he investigated the entire course of events. He wanted to find out exactly what had happened after his consciousness had been stripped away.
"That was everything that happened. I can only tell you this much. If you still have questions, investigate them yourself. You're better at that than I am."
Wang Xiaoming said, "All right, you can leave now. I need to deal with Wei Jing."
Yang Jian said, "I'm taking the music box."
Although he had nearly died from the music box's curse, he still intended to keep this dangerous item.
If he could one day find a way to break the music box's curse, perhaps it would yield some unexpected gains.
"Whatever." Wang Xiaoming did not care.
He had studied that thing before. It was terrifying, and deeper research offered no obvious benefits, only greater danger. That experimental project had long since been abandoned.
