Li Yan survived his Heavenly Tribulation, formed a Nascent Soul, and strengthened his abilities before reconnecting with allies and preparing to celebrate alongside Li Yuyin. The ceremony began as visitors arrived, including Qiu Jiuzhen, who wondered how Li Yan had overcome his poor aptitude.

• Li Yan defeated the golden-armored warrior and the Heavenly Sword and Earthly Saber tribulations, then formed his Nascent Soul as tribulation essence energy healed him.
• Gu Jiuqi revealed that he had used two grains of Li Yan’s Tribulation Essence Qi to help Li Yuyin break through, and Li Yan accepted the compensation of a jade slip that reduced his sect-guarding duty.
• Li Yan explored his new Nascent Soul abilities and techniques, stabilized his cultivation, and agreed with Wei Zhongran to attend the ceremony planned for himself and Li Yuyin.

Li Yan married Zhao Min, left to cross the Northern Underworld Sea and turbulent void, and reached the Wind God Continent. After surviving its dangers, he arrived in Great Qi and uncovered the history of Ling E, the Six-Eyed Demon Moth who had once been saved by Zhao Fenglou.

• Li Yan agreed to become Dao companions with Zhao Min, and they married at the Wangliang Sect the following year.
• Li Yan later visited the nine locations on Qi Jinghong’s map, found two more silver pages, and discovered the Primordial Qi Supreme Clarity Formation in Great Master’s storage ring.
• After Zhao Min declined to travel with him, Li Yan left with Zi Kun and Qianji, crossed the Northern Underworld Sea, and broke through the barrier between worlds into turbulent space.
• Li Yan met Shi Pozhu, agreed to help break a ruin’s array in exchange for information, then killed Shi Pozhu when he attempted to ambush him.
