Li Yan was forced from the Wind God Continent into the Immortal Spirit Realm, where he recovered from grave injuries and joined the Pojun Sect. After helping the sect survive a crisis and healing Yu Banjiang, he prepared to travel with Shangguan Tianque to the Endless Market.

• Xue Longzi attacked the Tianli Clan, and Li Yan led a desperate counterattack before dragging Xue Longzi through spatial turbulence and into a deadly blood mist.
• Li Yan survived the blood mist and arrived in the Immortal Spirit Realm, where Yu Banjiang rescued him and explained that he needed Immortalization Liquid to keep his soul from withering.

Li Yan survived an ambush tied to a wider plot, helped Donglin Qinglei recover, and returned to the Broken Army Sect as others in the lower realm searched for him. The arc ended with Li Yan testing the silver ice sand while Dong Fuyi and True Lord Qianzhong set out to find him.

• Li Yan joined Shangguan Tianque and Donglin Tingyue at a trading gathering, where he identified the poison harming Donglin Tingyue’s younger brother and offered to treat it.
• Li Yan and Shangguan Tianque were ambushed by Liu Huaigu and masked red-robed cultivators, but Li Yan killed or captured several attackers and helped defeat Liu Huaigu.
• Shangguan Tianque and Li Yan learned from Liu Huaigu’s memories that the ambush stemmed from his grudge, while evidence suggested someone was targeting the Broken Army Sect.

Li Yan saved Donglin Tingyue and Jia Fugui, defeated the attackers on the first deck, and hid with them as Spirit Transformation cultivators remained above.
