Li Yan fought his way through a Ghost Domain infestation and sent Zhao Min and the others through a yellow halo before the abyss dragged him into the Netherworld. Captured and stripped of his powers, he entered Shura prison, where he established his strength and learned who ruled the prison.

• Li Yan fought Sima the Blood-Eyed Toad, then obtained Touyezi poison and a map after agreeing only to search for a Polar Ice Heart.
• Corpsewater insects and corpse ghosts overwhelmed the Ghost Domain training grounds, and Li Yan killed a powerful zombie while protecting the gathered Nascent Soul cultivators.
• A force beneath the ground opened a black hole and dragged Li Yan, Chu Yinghong, and the cultivators downward, but Li Yan sent the Nascent Soul group through a yellow halo before falling into the abyss himself.
• Zhao Min and the other survivors searched the frigid wasteland for Li Yan and the vanished black hole, while the Netherworld prepared to hunt the escaped cultivators in Yellow Springs City.
• The one-horned monster lifted the unconscious Li Yan from the Lake of Reincarnation Mirror, and Li Yan later awoke in a Netherworld prison with his meridians severed and his powers sealed.
• Fan Nan took Li Yan from his cell to witness the prison’s punishments, then assigned him to Monk Fa Ke.
• Li Yan defeated Monk Fa Ke and his two subordinates, forcing them to explain that the prison was the first level of Shura prison, ruled by a Yama God and warded by a Netherworld King.

Li Yan was imprisoned in Shura prison, where he was forced to harvest Flowers of the Other Shore and discovered that his Undying Nether Phoenix bloodline responded to the oldest flowers. He reunited with Buluo and continued gathering flowers under Fa Nan’s watch, while Zhao Min and Gong Chenying’s group struggled to evade capture in the Netherworld.

• Li Yan learned that Yellow Springs City was the Netherworld’s passage for living beings and that prisoners were forced to harvest Flowers of the Other Shore in Shura prison.
• Li Yan joined Monk Faqi’s group on a gathering mission, crossed the Ghost Thorns, and forced Fa Ke to reveal additional flower sites after their first patch had been stripped.
• Li Yan discovered that flowers over three hundred years old drained lifespan but stirred his bloodline, and he risked an encounter with a water ghost to collect them.
• Fa Nan rewarded Li Yan with a Life-Extending Yang Pill after his group returned with six flowers, including one over five hundred years old.
• Zhao Min, Gong Chenying, and the surviving cultivators fought off pursuers and learned they were near the Bridge of No Return, where Yellow Springs City’s ghost cultivators planned to capture them alive.
• Li Yan was reassigned to a new cell, recognized the dying Buluo, and gave him the Life-Extending Yang Pill to revive him.
• Buluo told Li Yan how he had been captured and explained that the prisoners shared the same restrictions, while Netherworld officials could not freely inspect their lifespans.

Li Yan used the Netherfall River and the Prison Break secret art to restore his cultivation, then trapped and questioned Fan Nan and Chihan to learn more about the Netherworld and the forces pursuing him. He discovered that Zhao Min’s group had survived, while the reason the Underworld Emperor had ordered Chihan to watch for Li Yan remained unknown.

• Li Yan tested the Netherfall River with a Flower of the Other Shore and discovered that its water could trigger his bloodline’s power of rebirth.
• Li Yan secretly used the river water to rebuild his body, then cultivated the Prison Break secret art until attacks from two Ghost Officers helped him break the Blood-Red Death Seal and restore his cultivation.
• Li Yan restored Buluo’s meridians and cultivation, then sent him to recover while he investigated whether the ghosts had detected the broken restriction.
• Li Yan lured Fan Nan into his Ghost Trail formation and Tuban, extracted his souls and spirits, and questioned him about the Netherworld’s hierarchy, escape routes, and the prisoners’ capture.
• Fan Nan revealed that Zhao Min and the other Nascent Soul cultivators had escaped into a deadly region, while Chu Yinghong and her Spirit Transformation cultivators had died in a black hole.
• Li Yan used a clone to impersonate Fan Nan and returned to the underground prison, where he trapped Chihan and questioned him about the routes out and the order to attack the two sects.

Li Yan rescued Zhao Min and the surviving sect disciples from the Netherworld, then escaped Shura Hell with them and uncovered evidence that someone from the Immortal-Spirit Realm had arranged the attack. He returned to the Wangliang Sect, where he presented witnesses and reported the plot to its elders.

• Li Yan traced Zhao Min’s group through the Netherworld, found them under Han Baiyi’s pursuit, and escaped with the survivors into Tuban.
• Li Yan infiltrated Yellow Springs City and the Nightwalker Sect while disguised, captured Hu, and used his memories to uncover a route out of the Netherworld.
• Li Yan escaped through the Nightwalker Sect’s spatial passage after Qiu Zhongnuo caught him breaking into its transmission room, then fled to the coast and confirmed his location using Hu’s memories.
• Li Yan brought the rescued cultivators out of Tuban into the Immortal-Spirit Realm and told them that a Netherworld expert had targeted their expedition.
• Li Yan set off for the Wangliang Sect while Li Zhaoyan and Wei Zhongran prepared to search for the missing expedition members near the sealed Ghost Domain.
