Li Yan followed Luo Beixi and Ye Yuhong into the Three-Color Nest, where Luo Beixi’s scheme and the formation separated them and forced Li Yan to fight his way through. After defeating the golden-armored giant and escaping, Li Yan found Ye Yuhong and the little girl in the yellow dress, then captured her in Tuban.

• Luo Beixi recruited Li Yan to help capture the Strength Soul Gu and led him and Ye Yuhong toward its hidden lair, while Li Yan suspected he planned to use him as a blood sacrifice.
• The three entered the Three-Color Nest and followed the Seven-Bead Sand deeper underground, but Luo Beixi’s formation separated them and trapped each in a battle against flame giants.
• Li Yan disguised himself as Ye Yuhong and met Luo Beixi in the golden-light cave, then sealed Luo Beixi’s Nascent Soul and escaped while the flame giant attacked.
• Li Yan entered another formation and fought the golden-armored giant, using his concealed abilities, soul techniques, and Guiyi Water-Parting Spikes to defeat it.
• Li Yan sealed the giant’s cracked golden hairpin, collected its treasures, broke out of the formation with Prison Breaker, and found a pendant that opened a purple vortex.
• Li Yan entered the vortex and found Ye Yuhong unconscious above a little girl in a yellow dress who was drawing in his soul, but his attacks failed to harm her.
• Li Yan sent the little girl into a mountain beneath Tuban, imprisoned her with restrictions and talismans, and began communicating with the supreme laws of heaven and earth.

Li Yan learned why Luo Beixi sought the Strength Soul Gu and chose to save Luo Youhuang, whose damaged soul he healed. After leaving Luo Beixi and his sister with new cultivation resources, Li Yan pursued a group connected to Shanggong Changge and Daoyu.

• Li Yan used Soul Search to learn that Luo Beixi’s parents and prospective Dao companion had died in an attack, while Luo Youhuang’s soul injury worsened and left her unconscious.
• Li Yan spared Luo Beixi and used an illusion to make him reveal the Heavenly Demon White Jade Disk method, then agreed to treat Youhuang in exchange for Luo Beixi’s secrecy.
• Li Yan examined Youhuang’s soul and used a soul Pill and Transforming the Sun Soul to heal the crack in her fourth corporeal soul.
• Li Yan overcame the Heavenly Dao’s interference and fused Youhuang’s souls and spirits, then told Luo Beixi that she would soon awaken.
• Youhuang awakened and recognized Luo Beixi, while Li Yan gave her the Ten Halls Night Demon technique and a Spirit Storage Ring filled with ghosts before leaving.

Li Yan rescued Shanggong Changge from Dongli Pei, uncovered the truth about Zhao Min’s supposed death, and accepted the jade box before continuing his journey with Qianji. After reaching the North Pasture Realm, they headed toward the Tianli Clan, where Zhao Min waited with Gong Chenying’s family.

• Li Yan followed Dao Yu and Shanggong Changge, learned that Dongli Pei had captured her over Dongli Qing’s death, and killed Dongli Pei and his allies before searching their memories.
• Li Yan discovered that Shanggong Changge had concealed clues implicating Zhao Min but had protected Li Yan and Zhao Min, so he spared her and told her Zhao Min was alive in the Immortal Spirit Realm.
• Shanggong Changge gave Li Yan the jade box in gratitude, and Li Yan left her with a false explanation for Zhao Min’s past before departing with the box.
• Li Yan refined Ink Cloud, examined the treasures and records he had collected, and reached Flower Shade City, where he reunited with Qianji and told him about his recent affairs.
• Li Yan and Qianji traveled west while Qianji fought dangerous opponents and trained with the Eight-Gate Golden Light Sword Formation, eventually reaching the Cangxuan Realm’s western edge.
• Li Yan and Qianji used a super teleportation formation to enter the North Pasture Realm and set out for the Tianli Clan.
• The Tianli Clan gave Gong Chenying’s family Li Yan’s Qing'a King Residence, and Zhao Min sat on its pavilion roof recalling her lonely nights at Small Bamboo Peak.

Li Yan returned to the Tianli Clan, reunited with Zhao Min and met their son Little Beast, whom he coached through a tournament match. After meeting the clan’s leaders and receiving access to its ancestral inheritance, Li Yan set out to bring Gong Chenying back from Prison Scale Island.

• Zhao Min waited decades for Li Yan as he and Qianji found Tianli Clan guards, who recognized his token and led them through the hidden entrance.
• Li Yan reunited with Zhao Min at the Qing'a King Residence and learned that Gong Chenying was away on a five-year prison-island mission and Little Beast was competing in a tournament.
• Li Yan told Zhao Min about his years away, including Qianji’s revival and his encounter with Shanggong Changge and Daoyu, then went with her and Qianji to watch Little Beast compete.
• Li Yan introduced himself to Little Beast, welcomed Qianji as his uncle, and analyzed Little Beast’s earlier fights before advising him on his inherited speed and strength.
• Little Beast defeated Daika by evading his red beams and striking him from behind, while Li Yan watched and sent him advice.
• Li Yan and Zhao Min caught up on their family and companions, then Li Yan met the High Priest Long Yue and Ge Feng, who offered him a chance to pursue the Qiongqi Purgatory Art’s tenth-level enlightenment.
• Long Yue gave Li Yan a jade slip for the ancestral land, and the clan leaders arranged for him to visit Gong Chenying at Prison Scale Island.
• After meeting the clan elders and spending time with Zhao Min, Li Yan traveled to the teleportation platform to find Gong Chenying.
