Two days later, three figures stood above a deathly silent swamp. This swamp was vast, filled everywhere with a sinister, chilling aura.
The swamp was covered in black mud. Mist lingered here all year round, and the trees that grew within had no bark, exposing smooth trunks.
Only a few scattered leaves hung from some branches, as though they might drift down at any moment and walk toward the end of life.
Within the swamp, Li Yan and the others saw some flickering figures. They drifted about without purpose. At the same time, atop the black swamp, they actually saw quite a few large banners and broken weapons.
Those great banners had long been caked in mud, their original colors utterly unrecognizable. Only faint embroidered patterns could still be made out. Some stood slanted, some upright, planted in the swamp in utter desolation.
Even more tattered banners lay in the swamp alongside those broken weapons, portions of them emerging and sinking with the mire. Some were even covered in things like black earthworms...
This was already the other end of the Yin Tomb Cavern. It was filled with endless corpse qi; even taking a single breath of it would leave one dizzy and nauseated without end.
Li Yan sensed the surroundings. Even Nascent Soul cultivators would be unable to remain here for long unless they were ghost cultivators.
