But once they reached the territory of the Crimson-Eyed Flame-Horn Beast Clan, the mission of the four clans would be considered complete, and this transaction with the Black Devil Race would end there.
By the time they arrived outside Blackflame City, they had already reached the final defensive ground of the Crimson-Eyed Flame-Horn Beast Clan, while the army of the Nine-Headed Green Phoenix Clan had been slaughtered until only a small remnant remained.
With all transmission arrays destroyed, it was impossible for the Nine-Headed Green Phoenix Clan to dispatch reinforcements immediately. Even if they wanted to rebuild the arrays, it was not something that could be accomplished in a short while.
During this period, the Black Devil Race had already entered a decisive battle. If they still could not take down the Crimson-Eyed Flame-Horn Beast Clan, then it would have nothing to do with the four clans.
The Black Devil Race had saved the Phoenix Four Clans, and in return, the four clans had paid an extremely heavy price. Yet this was also an outcome the four clans had long anticipated.
The Phoenix Four Clans had fought all the way here. Though far too many of their clansmen had been killed by the Crimson-Eyed Flame-Horn Beast Clan, forging a deep and bloody hatred between them, they would not truly continue aiding the Black Devil Race until the Crimson-Eyed Flame-Horn Beast Clan was completely conquered.
If they did, by the end, even the foundation upon which the Phoenix Four Clans could gain a foothold elsewhere might be greatly depleted here.
