Suren saw that Rena was still standing there in a daze. Realizing that he had been unclear, he felt the need to explain, "Take off your clothes. Every last piece. Clothes, equipment, Storage Ring—take them all off! The smell of this powder burning can only interfere with the monsters' sense of smell for one minute."
Take off her clothes?
Rena had been somewhat bewildered a moment ago, but in the next moment, being clever, she naturally understood the purpose behind Suren's actions.
Actually, back when they had been fleeing, Assistant Rosa had already guessed at the problem: the Black Dog Monsters might be locating their "prey" through smell.
But the monsters had launched a frenzied pursuit the moment they appeared, giving her no chance to catch her breath.
They had even tried various methods. Yet not even the highest-grade Odor-Eliminating Potion had any effect, making them suspect that their judgment had been wrong.
Hearing him say "take off your clothes," she naturally had no trouble guessing that Suren had thought of the same solution.
She had not held out any hope, but what shocked her was that Suren's method had actually interfered with the monsters' senses?!
Judging by the time, the Mutated Monsters should already have broken through the rubble. Yet not a single one had charged into the smoke to attack her. Clearly, the smoke really was working!
After Suren finished speaking, he had no intention of staying there.
He quickly took a bottle of Odor-Eliminating Potion and one of his own shirts from his Storage Ring and placed them on the ground. Then he turned and ran to hide at the end of the passage.
It was not that he was being a gentleman and avoiding watching Rena change. He simply had not been certain before using it
