When I finished my last book, I had planned to make this one an 85 out of 100.

Looking at it now, I fell just a little short.

Let's call it an 82.

I tried some new approaches. Some worked well, while others got criticized.

But in the end, my ability to handle a long story was still a little lacking. The later plot did not collapse, but it was not as exciting as the early parts.

Some of the weaker plotlines gave everyone a poor experience. I'm sorry.

But for me as an author, that was not entirely a bad thing.

The roads I had traveled and the pitfalls I had stepped into would make the next journey smoother, and let me go farther.

In short, I learned a lot.

And I grew a lot.

For the next book, I felt I could really get above 85. Hahaha.

But as for the new book's genre, I had dozens of ideas in my drafts that I wanted to write.

Ah, there were really so, so many things I wanted to write.

Online games, fantasy, mystical fantasy, lords, apocalypse, Xianxia, supernatural horror.

My favorite was still Magical Steampunk.

But these books had exhausted my inspiration and passion for that genre.

If I could not create a story better than this one, I would not be writing that genre again for the time being.
