After Ghost Douluo took Su Yi away from Spirit Academy, they flew for a long time before arriving at a small mountain.
At the mountain peak, Ghost Douluo set Su Yi down and pointed at the tents hidden within the mountain. "Kid, your training task this time is to kill the bandits in the mountain."
"These bandits have committed every evil imaginable. The strongest among them is only an eighteenth-level Soul Master leader. The other fifty or so are mostly ordinary bandits without soul rings."
"Kill three, and you pass. Kill five, and you're excellent. Kill ten, and you're perfect. If you truly run into danger, don't be afraid. I'll save you."
"Do you understand?"
Ghost Douluo crouched down and looked into Su Yi's eyes, which had once again become utterly indifferent.
"Mhm."
Su Yi responded and charged straight down from the mountaintop.
As he descended, Su Yi constantly sought out tall trees to conceal himself.
Ghost Douluo, who followed behind Su Yi the entire time, grew increasingly shocked by the child ahead of him.
Su Yi moved downhill at incredible speed, his body seemingly as light as a tuft of cotton.
Even the grass he stepped on returned to its original state in an instant.
Once the child entered the small forest, he was like an ape returning to the mountains.
He swiftly climbed into the trees and moved through the dense branches.
Then, using the thick leaves as cover, he leaped to a nearby tree and slipped into it.
The most terrifying part was that despite moving so quickly, he did not make a single sound.
Moreover, if Ghost Douluo had not kept his attention fixed on the little fellow and followed closely behind him—
Once the child entered this small mountain, Ghost Douluo likely would not have been able to find even a trace of where he was hiding.
Ghost Douluo was extremely curious about how Su Yi could weave through the dense branches so quickly without making any noise.
How exactly did this little fellow do it?
As Ghost Douluo focused all his attention on Su Yi, he saw that while moving through the thick branches, Su Yi kept his body turned sideways, his arms stretched out before and behind him.
The hand in front gently pushed aside the branches blocking his path, creating tiny gaps between them.
Su Yi's sideways body slipped through those gaps, while the hand behind him gently restored the branches he had moved aside.
Ghost Douluo watched Su Yi's arms swing rapidly as he moved through the dense branches as effortlessly as a fish in water.
He was nothing like an ape. His body was so smooth and fluid that he was practically like a fish.
The more Ghost Douluo watched, the more shocked he became. Was this something a human could do?
No wonder the places this little fellow passed through showed no trace at all. As he moved, he had already erased and restored every sign of his passage.
This kid was a born killer.
Ghost Douluo truly did not know where the boy had learned all these things.
At that moment, Ghost Douluo's eyes were filled with astonishment as he watched Su Yi, who was only a few years old.
After some time, Ghost Douluo followed Su Yi from the mountaintop to the front of the bandits' hideout.
Less than twenty meters away stood the hideout, where bandits patrolled back and forth before the tents, completely unaware of the little fellow's arrival.
However, there was another problem now.
The bandits' hideout was ahead, and the area in front contained only relatively short grass and scattered Blue Silver Grass. There were no trees at all.
If the little fellow rushed out now, he would be discovered.
What would he do this time?
Ghost Douluo was extremely curious about Su Yi's next move.
Su Yi stared at the bandits' hideout from his hiding place among the branches, his eyes swiftly observing the scattered tents and the bandits pacing back and forth in front of them.
After observing for more than ten minutes, Su Yi had already figured out some of the hideout's patterns.
There were only two patrolmen.
And in Su Yi's eyes, their so-called patrol was more like a casual stroll. They had almost no vigilance at all.
The two men occasionally let out lewd laughs as they discussed how, once other brothers came to relieve them, they could go check on the women brought back from the village they had raided yesterday.
Cries also kept coming from the largest tent at the very back.
Su Yi, hidden in the tree, understood those sounds perfectly well.
It was truly a miracle that this group had survived until now.
No wonder they were so weak. They indulged in women all day long; it was already lucky they had not died on top of one.
Looking at these utterly vulnerable bandits, Su Yi could not help but sigh inwardly.
Women truly were terrifying.
But now, it was time to act.
As he watched the two patrolmen, one of them said he needed to relieve himself and actually walked toward the back of the tree where Su Yi was hiding.
With a soft pfft, the faint sound of a dagger piercing a throat rang out.
The bandit relieving himself behind the tree suddenly felt his body sink before he could even resist.
Su Yi drifted down lightly from the dense branches behind him, covering the bandit's mouth with his left hand while holding the Black Dagger, which had been strapped to his calf, in his right hand against the man's neck.
The dagger tip aimed at the bandit's throat and plunged straight in.
This method had two advantages. First, if he slit the man's throat with the dagger, blood would spray from the wound and flow out in large amounts. The bloody scent might draw the attention of the other bandits.
By driving the dagger directly into his throat, he also destroyed the bandit's vocal cords, making it impossible for him to make a sound.
Then, after the man died, Su Yi could pull out the dagger and only a little blood would flow out.
It would not cause massive bleeding or release a stronger scent of blood.
As the dagger pierced his throat, the terror in the bandit's eyes gradually faded, his pupils dilating as the light left them.
His body went limp and was about to collapse to the ground. At that moment, Su Yi, pressed against his back, gave him a gentle push.
The bandit's falling direction immediately changed, and he fell backward. Su Yi landed smoothly on both feet and gently lowered the bandit he had killed onto the ground.
"Gou Dan, aren't you done yet? Did that little bitch yesterday drain you dry?"
"Hahaha!"
The other patrolling bandit also needed to relieve himself. He walked toward Su Yi's side, mocking him as he spoke.
Just as he was about to reach the tree, Su Yi, hidden behind it, sprang out like a hunting leopard. The dagger plunged directly into the man's throat, while his left hand covered the man's mouth. With a bend of his arm, he lowered the man to the ground.
