Ch. 104King's Path
At the Banquet of Kings, Iskandar and Gilgamesh challenged Lily over her wish to undo Britain’s destruction, and Iskandar condemned her regret as unfit for a king. Pantaleon defended Lily’s rule and her own King’s Path before yielding Yu Feng’s body back to him, leaving the kings doubtful but no longer dismissing her outright.
- Iskandar declared that he wanted a body from the Holy Grail so he could take root in the world and begin conquering it, while Gilgamesh vowed to kill him himself.
- Lily said she wanted the Holy Grail to save Britain and undo its destruction, prompting Iskandar and Gilgamesh to mock and question her regret over her reign.
- Iskandar argued that a king must own her choices and desires rather than wish to overturn history, and he called Lily an immature ruler who had failed to guide her retainers.
- Pantaleon took control of Yu Feng’s body and argued that Lily had ruled well, bought Britain more than a decade of peace, and followed a distinct King’s Path that could not be judged by another king’s standards.
- Iskandar and Gilgamesh continued to doubt Lily’s maturity as a king but reserved judgment, and Pantaleon returned Yu Feng’s body to him.
