Once Kael's voice carried over, the faces of the Demacian nobles changed drastically.
"Your sins shall all be judged today. All sin shall be judged by justice. No one can escape."
Kael swung her sword toward the sky, and pillars of light descended one after another, locking onto person after person below.
The people locked onto by the pillars of light wore terrified expressions, and most of them were nobles.
At that moment, they were all trying to defend themselves.
"No! Angel of Justice, your Judgment is mistaken! We are not evil—we are the righteous side! There must be some mistake!"
"That's right, there has to be a mistake! We are the righteous ones, and they are evil! They are the ones who should be judged!"
The victor became king, and the loser became a bandit. The winners were always righteous, while the losers were evil.
By that definition, the defeated mages led by Sylas were naturally evil and should be judged.
Unfortunately, Kael's justice was different from theirs.
Kael had once believed in absolute justice. She could not tolerate even the slightest stain, and every evil deed had to be thoroughly judged.
If such absolute justice were carried through to the end, it would likely turn into utter deathly silence—only the dead would never violate absolute justice.
As long as one was alive, one would make mistakes to some extent and harbor a dark side. Not even saints were exceptions.
Kael had changed greatly now. Otherwise, judging by her former standards, at least half of Demacia would have died, perhaps even two-thirds.
The ones Kael had marked now were merely nobles with particularly grave crimes. That was already showing mercy.
"Sure enough, after going through so much, my sister has changed as well."
Morgana said this with a smile.
