Chapter Summaries

Ge Xiaolun brought Sun Wukong and the others to a Void-eroded Parallel Universe, where Sun Wukong tested his willingness to pay for its salvation and protected him from Void erosion. After accepting Ge Xiaolun’s resolve, Sun Wukong agreed to help, and Lan Hong led the group to the lifeless Chi Wu Star System.

• Ge Xiaolun, Lan Hong, Kaisha, He Xi, and Sun Wukong entered the Void-eroded Parallel Universe.
• Sun Wukong absorbed condensed Void Energy, but told Ge Xiaolun that clearing the vast universe would take too long and that he had no reason to save it for free.
• Ge Xiaolun offered even his life in exchange for the universe’s salvation, and Sun Wukong tested his resolve by making Void Energy erode him.

There, Kaisha met Kael, an Angel-like counterpart who revealed their connection through the Derived Universe relationship between their worlds.

• Garen told Lux that Sylas was about to be publicly executed, and she rushed to the execution grounds with Garen and his men following.
• Lan Hong explained that Demacia’s Magic Ban targeted commoners with magic, and that Sylas had once helped the Magic Hunters capture them before turning against them to protect a girl.
• Lan Hong explained that Lux had secretly befriended Sylas in prison and taught him to control his magic, leading Demacia’s nobles to order his execution.

• Lan Hong and his companions entered the black mist, where He Xi's light warded off ordinary undead.

Lan Hong and his companions met Maokai and learned how the Ruined Curse had corrupted the Shadow Isles and its Water of Life. At the Eternal Well, Lan Hong began using Maokai’s unpolluted Water of Life to purify the cursed water, and the ruins blazed with light.

• Yorick told Lan Hong and the others about his failed attempt to save a captain and agreed to join them in finding Maokai.
• Gwen led the group to Maokai, who explained how Viego’s Ruined Curse had twisted the forest and contaminated the Water of Life.
• Lan Hong proposed using the Water of Life stored in Maokai’s trunk to disperse the Black Mist at the Eternal Well.
• Yorick guided the group to the ruined Eternal Well, where black water still emitted thinning Black Mist.

As Lan Hong’s magic purified the black mist around the Eternal Well, Karthus’s undead legion and Elise arrived to stop the cleansing. The group fought to protect the Well while Lan Hong prepared to confront the Spider God, Despicable Throat.

• Lan Hong reassured Gwen that the Eternal Well’s purification would also resolve the Shadow Isles’ other problems, and Gwen said she wanted to see the outside world.

• He Xi and Kaisha found Karthus and defeated him with their combined Divine Judgment, causing his undead army to lose its control.
