Chen Xun and Big Black Ox perfected their Five Elements cultivation, crossed the Heaven Severing Great Ravine, and entered Great Li with Little Crimson as their companion. After reaching Dinghui Province through teleportation arrays, they went to investigate Chan Sound Temple.

• Chen Xun and Big Black Ox refined their Giant Ship, developed the Five Elements Immortal Path, and opened 120 Human Apertures while wandering the Eastern Nations.
• Chen Xun and Big Black Ox recovered the Northern Border dead, then sailed into the unknown and opened all forty Earth Apertures during their journey.
• Chen Xun and Big Black Ox descended into the Heaven Severing Great Ravine, harvested its strange ore, and each opened sixteen divine apertures using Extinguishing Divine Power.
• Chen Xun and Big Black Ox crossed into Great Li, explored the Heaven Severing Great Plains, and persuaded the Flame Radiance Crimson Ancient Lion to travel with them as Bei Gong Hong Shi, or Little Crimson.
• Little Crimson explained the history of the ravine, the war between spirit beasts and Great Li, and how its clan had wielded Extinguishing Divine Power.
• Chen Xun, Big Black Ox, and Little Crimson reached Deer Terrace City and used its teleportation arrays to travel onward to Dinghui Province.
• The three visited temples in search of Buddhist teachings, then approached Chan Sound Temple, where Chen Xun sensed six Golden Core cultivators and no Buddha statues.

Chen Xun, Big Black Ox, and Little Crimson left Chan Sound Temple and ventured into the Forbidden Sea, gathering treasures and meeting Yu Chen while pursuing their own cultivation. After escaping the Yu Family’s attack, they began developing a Five Elements Teleportation Array and Chen Xun’s body-refinement technique, while the Yu Family continued searching for them.

• Chen Xun and Big Black Ox resolved their questions about merit with the Abbot, then left Chan Sound Temple after taking the first half of his ascension technique.
• Chen Xun, Big Black Ox, and Little Crimson traveled west, reached the Forbidden Sea, and defeated evil cultivators who attacked them near an uncharted island.
• The companions entered the Forbidden Sea, collected Storage Rings from the dead, and found a blood-forged War Realm Camp token and a sorrowful letter addressed to Yue Er.
• Chen Xun met Yu Chen and arranged regular trades for cultivation materials, body-refinement techniques, and Water Spirit Art knowledge.
• Chen Xun and his companions mined a Star-Shifting Profound Stone vein, then traded with Yu Chen for body-refinement techniques and Teleportation Array diagrams before fleeing Long Guanzhi’s attack.

Chen Xun and Big Black Ox prepared to cross the Heavenly Pass and confront Defiled Lifespan, while Great Li’s cultivators assembled for the expedition. They entered the Realm Battlefield and reached the Black Earth Land, where Big Black Ox destroyed their first attackers and discovered their Yin Cold Qi could strengthen his divine sense.

• Chen Xun and Big Black Ox completed their Five Elements Teleportation Array work, explored the Forbidden Sea, and returned to Great Li after discovering an ancient array and defiled essence blood.
• Chen Xun visited Baili Fengyao at Chan Sound Temple, learned about the ancient war and the cost of fighting Defiled Lifespan, and decided to cross the Heavenly Pass with Big Black Ox and Little Crimson.
• Chen Xun recognized the Abbot as Senior Brother Le Feng’s reincarnation, and warships gathered above the West Coast as Great Li’s cultivators prepared to join the campaign.
• Baili Wentian and the Four Immortal Mountains opened the Heavenly Pass, sending the gathered armies toward the Bank of the Milky Way while Chen Xun, Big Black Ox, and Little Crimson initially stayed behind.

Chen Xun and his companions survived their Spirit Transformation tribulations, returned to Great Li to settle matters with the Yu Family, and gathered supplies before venturing deeper into the Realm Battlefield. They escaped the Defiled Lifespans’ breeding ground and returned to the coast, where Chen Xun planned another attempt with Bai Li Zhong Hu.

• Chen Xun survived his Spirit Transformation tribulation, overcame a heart-demon illusion, and transformed his five Nascent Souls into Primordial Spirits.
• Chen Xun helped Big Black Ox prepare for its own Heart Demon Tribulation, and Big Black Ox broke free after realizing the Chen Xun in its illusion was false.
