A few more days passed. Ayato felt that while the physical fatigue had faded, its effects had not completely dissipated. The time it took for that feeling to vanish was roughly the interval between each session.

Of course, that was only possible in the world of Naruto. Though ordinary people in this world could not compare to those with bloodlines, their bodies were still far stronger than in his previous life. Otherwise, if Ayato had done this in his previous life, he probably would have crippled himself outright.

No, in his previous life, without powerful mental strength as a prerequisite, he probably could not have done this much in the first place. After all, Ayato knew himself well enough—his willpower was not actually that strong.

Nothing unusual happened at the academy over the past few days. Iruka merely led the class through training and began teaching them about chakra.

For Ayato, that was somewhat of a waste of time. He had already finished learning all that knowledge on his own, and the intensity of the training could not keep up with the regimen he had set for himself.

Still, school had only just begun, so the teacher was mainly teaching basic training movements. Later on, they would probably be able to train freely.

Having finished teaching himself the contents of the books, Ayato was ready to try extracting chakra. Since it was his first time, he waited until Sinai was home and asked her to watch over him.

Although extracting chakra was generally not dangerous, who knew whether an accident might happen the first time?

"Mom, I'm starting." Ayato sat cross-legged on the bed. Extracting chakra did not require any particular posture, but with someone watching, he had to at least sit properly.

"Mm, don't worry. As I recall, extracting chakra isn't dangerous." Sinai encouraged him.

"I know." Ayato nodded. He was just being careful. What if he passed out?

Then, Ayato began sensing his physical energy according to what the books had taught him. He had actually tried sensing it before, and it had been easy for him. Now, he was even more familiar with the process.

He had only sensed it before without trying to extract it. Now that Sinai was watching beside him, he had some insurance in case anything went wrong. Ayato no longer hesitated, combining his mental and physical energy to begin extracting chakra.

No accident occurred. Ayato succeeded very quickly, then controlled the chakra he had extracted and made it emerge in his hand. The familiar blue energy left him momentarily dazed.

"You succeeded on your first try? Little Ayato, you're really amazing!" Sinai was somewhat surprised. Extracting chakra was not dangerous, but that did not mean someone could succeed on their first attempt. Did that mean Little Ayato was very talented? The thought made Sinai happy.

She decided that, to celebrate Little Ayato's talent, she would ask the teacher to help her exchange for a Shadow Clone after work tomorrow and give Little Ayato a surprise.

"Mm, I guess." Ayato had not expected it to go so smoothly either. Perhaps it had something to do with his mental strength? In any case, his talent should be decent. Next, it would depend on his talent for ninjutsu.

He just did not know how much chakra he currently had. He felt that it should be fairly good, but without a concrete comparison, he had no idea what level he was actually at.

As Ayato thought, he suddenly noticed a pair of hands on his face. He looked up to see his mother pinching his cheeks as she said, "You successfully extracted chakra, Little Ayato. You should be happier. Give me a smile~"

In the end, under Sinai's devilish hands, Ayato could only force out a smile. It was a little fake, but Sinai was satisfied nonetheless. "That's more like it. Why do you always keep such a straight face at your age?"

Ayato was a little helpless. It was not like he had a stiff face; he had simply been thinking.

Eventually, Ayato escaped Sinai's devilish hands and returned to his room to continue extracting chakra. There was no use for the chakra he extracted, but he wanted to familiarize himself with the process.

He had to become so familiar with the process that he would not need to deliberately extract it, reaching the point where he could draw it out whenever he wanted. As for what to do with the extracted chakra...

Ayato did not know a single ninjutsu yet, but simply wasting it felt wasteful. So, should he use it to train his control? Tree Climbing or walking on walls?

But then he remembered that his mother next door was probably about to rest. The noise from falling off a wall would likely be quite loud, and disturbing her rest would not be good. So he passed.

Other than that, Chakra Shape Transformation and Chakra Nature Transformation?

As for Chakra Nature Transformation, Ayato did not even know what his chakra nature was yet. Did that mean he could only practice Chakra Shape Transformation?

Still, rather than Chakra Shape Transformation, it would be more accurate to say that Ayato had decided to control his chakra into shapes he imagined, starting with the simplest one: a sphere.

Ayato began trying to release the chakra he had extracted through his hand. He clearly felt that the instant the chakra left his body, it immediately slipped out of his control and rapidly dispersed into the air.

Ayato frowned but did not give up. How could he succeed in a single try?

So he extracted, practiced, extracted again, and practiced again. Before long, Ayato's chakra was nearly depleted. With this amount of chakra, Ayato felt that if he extracted it at full force, he could probably draw it all out in one go. After all, the amount extracted depended on mental strength, and his mental strength happened to be extremely powerful.

However, that also proved from the other direction that Ayato's chakra reserves were at least not proportional to his mental strength.

Moreover, his Chakra Shape Transformation practice had yielded a slight result. At the very least, after the chakra left his body, Ayato could still sense a faint connection to it, though using that thread of connection to control it was extremely difficult.

As long as there was a connection and he could sense it, Ayato was satisfied. He only needed to strengthen that connection later, and he would have taken the first step.

His chakra being depleted meant that today's activities were over. It was time to rest.

Tomorrow, he had something more important to do: find Iruka. First, he needed to ask about his current chakra level, or at least get a standard reference. Second, Ayato wanted to try asking for the Three Body Technique in advance. He believed his current chakra had already exceeded the level required to practice the Three Body Technique, so if he showed his ability, there was a good chance Iruka would give it to him.

If that did not work, he could get the hand seals for the Three Body Technique from his mother and then ask Iruka Sensei how to use them.

Thinking over his plans for tomorrow, Ayato quietly drifted off to sleep.

The next day, after school, Ayato found Iruka.

"Is something the matter, Ayato?" Iruka looked at him in confusion.

"Iruka Sensei, I've already learned how to extract chakra from the textbook. I wanted to ask you about my current level of chakra reserves."

"Hm? Ayato, you already finished learning it on your own?" Iruka was somewhat surprised. In order to be an excellent teacher, he had naturally learned about his students' circumstances, including Ayato's.

It could be said that although Ayato's mother had once been a Genin, she probably did not have the ability to teach him. She knew what to do, but not why it worked.

That meant Ayato had likely learned the textbook's contents and completed chakra extraction all by himself in just these few days.

Although Iruka did not know why Ayato wanted to know his chakra level, as a teacher, he naturally liked students who were both talented and hardworking. So he nodded and agreed without hesitation.
