Death Prison Spider Emperor (Part 2)

"Senior, what do you mean by that?" Ling Bai tilted his head slightly and asked with a smile.

Electrolux had a pair of lifeless silver-gray eyes. His grayish-white hair fell behind his back, while the strands before his forehead faintly gleamed pale gold. His face was ancient and weathered, and his tall body was wrapped in a black robe.

With his hands behind his back, Electrolux said blandly, "Don't you know what's inside your Sea of Consciousness?"

"Hiss—"

As the two spoke, the Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture circling overhead noticed Ling Bai's tiny figure. Its face, formed from white bones and exposed teeth, twisted into a humanlike sinister grin. With a flap of its bony wings, its massive body descended like a white meteor!

The Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture drew closer and closer. Even as a spiritual body, Ling Bai could still feel the searing pain of the fierce wind slicing across his face!

"Screech!!!"

A deep, furious roar suddenly rang out. As the descending Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture looked down, it abruptly saw eight blood-red flames light up within a bottomless fissure beside Ling Bai.

A deafening boom erupted from the fissure alongside splashing black rubble. Before the Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture could even form a thought of resistance, an unknown monster within the crack tore it away and dragged it toward the boundlessly lofty, empty dark sky!

A few seconds later, the Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture finally realized that it was inside the monster's mouth. Its proud bony wings were pinned beneath the other party's spear-like legs, and that mountain-like brute strength made escape utterly impossible!

At that moment, the Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture finally saw the monster's true face within the fissure!

As well as those eight blood-red pupils that illuminated the heavens!

It heard the sound of the Death Prison Spider Emperor slowly chewing and swallowing it apart. Its remaining consciousness was drawn away thread by thread. At death's door, intense regret rose in its heart. Perhaps it should not have pursued the Man Faced Demon Spider, only to ultimately die in the jaws of another spider!

The ten-thousand-year soul beast, the Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture, was completely dead!

After devouring the Blazing Bone Dragon Vulture's resentment, the Death Prison Spider Emperor hung upside down from a spiderweb in the distant sky, its eight pupils as deep as seas of blood fixed upon Ling Bai on the ground.

"Eat... more!"

The Death Prison Spider Emperor's enormous purplish-black body resembled a world-shaking demon god. Opening its hook-sickle-like fangs, it actually spoke in human words.

"Next time, definitely."

"You... had better..."

The Death Prison Spider Emperor responded coldly. Its eight spider legs moved in unison, and its body gradually vanished.

Only Ling Bai and Electrolux remained in the Sea of Consciousness, staring at each other. So this was how it was—you could come into this Sea of Consciousness whenever you wanted, and no one would say a word!

After a long silence, Electrolux was the first to break it.

"Senior." Ling Bai's eyes seemed to gather a storm of dark undercurrents. "The Death Prison Spider Emperor is a Death Attribute martial soul. Death is a solemn and sacred thing. Its purpose is to give life meaning; it is life's inevitable and only end.

"I do not wish to see it corrupted by the power of an evil god and fall into an Evil Spirit. You are a sage of the path of death. I hope you can lend me a hand."

Electrolux slowly repeated Ling Bai's words. He instinctively recalled the godhood he had once bestowed upon himself—the Holy Necromancer.

Ling Bai bowed deeply to Electrolux. Those words meant that Old Yi had already decided to help him.

As Electrolux watched Ling Bai leave the Sea of Consciousness, a rustling sound suddenly rang out. Then, Electrolux abruptly realized:

"Something seems wrong... Ling Bai has left. Doesn't that mean I have to face that Death Prison Spider Emperor with divine power all by myself!?"
