After the contract was completed, the two rulers exchanged a few private words. Richard and Ulysses had no idea what they discussed, but judging by their expressions, the outcome was likely not bad.

Because both man and bird received rewards.

Although Richard belonged to the Alchemy School, Shaping Crown still represented the Truth Council and gave Richard the reward he deserved.

Naturally, Richard would not receive any shares. Shaping Crown's reward consisted of spell models for two ten-ring spells, along with a general model for constructing a composite Rule Body—Shaping Crown did not know, or perhaps had not noticed, that Physique Crown had already given Richard a Rule Body model.

As the chairman, he had far too many matters in Wizard Civilization to handle every day. In this age of war, Great Wizard promotions were no longer rare. A Rule Body blueprint requested by a Great Wizard simply was not worth the chairman's attention.

Ulysses's reward, meanwhile, was much simpler. Eternal God King gave Ulysses a divine artifact whose effect was to nourish the soul. Although a World Lord's soul could repair itself, such repairs came at the cost of lifespan. This divine artifact could replenish that lost lifespan.

Theoretically, as long as there was enough Faith Power, it could allow a World Lord to live until he died of old age.

Besides the divine artifact, Ulysses was appointed the Gods' ambassador to Wizard Civilization. Though Ulysses had not said anything, his little tricks were as good as nonexistent in Eternal God King's eyes. Gods Civilization currently had no shortage of deities whose divine offices were not part of the God of War faction, so the ambassadorial post was given to Ulysses as a reward.

Once the two rulers departed, both Ulysses and Richard let out long breaths.

"It's finally
