Abyss Inheritance, Demon Legion

The Great Abyss World was an extraordinarily vast world. Even a Large World like the Wizard World seemed somewhat "petite" before the Great Abyss World.

From where Richard entered to the center of the Great Abyss World, even Samael took nearly half an hour.

This overly expansive world suddenly reminded Richard of something Ulysses had said.

He had said that the Gods Civilization suspected the Great Abyss World was actually alive. It continuously drew those tainted by the Abyss closer, then fused with them and turned them into a part of itself.

Considering the Beast Origin World he had seen, Richard felt that this claim might not be groundless.

At the center of the Great Abyss World stood a World Tree that pierced the heavens. Its magnificence surpassed every World Tree Richard had ever seen.

Even the five Towers of Truth could only be considered saplings before this World Tree.

"Is this... a World Tree?"

Richard asked somewhat uncertainly.

"No. She is the Abyss," Samael replied in a low voice.

As they arrived before the World Tree, a bizarre figure suddenly appeared before Samael. The figure was as enormous as a mountain, yet its body was covered in all manner of "hands."

Or rather, limbs would have been more accurate.

On this creature, Richard saw the hooves of even-toed ungulates, feline claws, ape hands, octopus tentacles... and every other body part that could be called a limb.

"Lord, what is that thing in your hand?" the bizarre creature asked. "I can sense an aura on him that does not belong to the Abyss."

"What thing?"

Something like laughter emerged from within Samael, and then he abruptly swung his arm, sending the bizarre figure flying.

Even as a bystander, Richard found that Frenzy power terrifying.
