I think the main draw for me was the gimmick which was the phone but other than like early on in the series, the phone kind of becomes an afterthought, and it’s kind of a more generic Xianxia, which while not necessarily bad, was still kind of disappointing.

Unique cultivation system, good pacing, the supporting characters stay relevan trough the story, the one that dont die of course, you cant expect everyone to become immortal, and a satisfying ending.

Very meta novel. Has irl elements taken as reference like Ukraine Russia War, Trump Tariff Wars, Segregation Stuff etc. Pretty cool until now

Actually pretty good. MC isn't irredeemable scum and the dialogue between characters is written pretty well, with good humour. His relationship with his family is pretty funny too.

Why add the 'system' tag if there is no system in the novel? Disappointing.

Well, but I'm reading slowly, about five chapters a day, sometimes I skip a day, it's good.

In a sea of trash MCs who just grow to become total arse as soon as a miraculous system appears to give them a power boost that they never deserved, this fic is a breath of fresh air. It's even better that this isn't just some fic written to spite the OG author or some character he dislikes. Hard-working and honest MC is rare (review as of chapter 122) and always an enjoyable read.

The novel is rushed, the protagonist is a hasty brute who likes to slap people in the face, the world background is confusing, they throw the world in your face without further ado.

I can a handle gore, handle bad plot, handle bad pacing, but this novel with its interesting plot and good enough writing is marred by incredibly explicit insertion of the author’s political view. Every character has these “kill these landlord, hate these landlords, landlords are the worst for society” moments that are incredibly abrupt and nonsensical, characters sing patriotic songs, cry for patriotic spirit, and show how even foreigners love China more than their own home country (kinda). This incredibly amateur insertion of Chinese patriotism and the political views of the author is so fucking bad, low, and frankly, immersion breaking. Bad reviews tbh, 4/10 but will round up to a meh opinion.

Good novel

The beginning was good, after the middle almost gave in to my quitting halfways dissease, towards the end I feel things were stretched out and when I saw the end I wanted to punch someone, fck, felt almost like edging but there is no way to try again, ugg, dont want to spoil things so everyone else will be just as unsatisfied.

It's very well written, so you can read it without worrying. For those who enjoy Lord of the Rings and Minecraft, it's a good novel.

For a Chinese Marvel fan fic, it's pretty good. Very low on the racism and nationalism. No problems with the characters so far and the MC's steady strength gain is satisfying enough. Honestly it's a novel that keeps bringing me back to read when I try others.
